Chapter 5

Harmony didn't know where she got the courage and conviction she had shown to Drake earlier.

She felt like the man wanted to manipulate her because of her current situation but sadly for him, she was able to turn the situation around.

She was able to take control of the conversation and she liked it.

She couldn't describe the emotions that she had seen on the man's face. It was obvious that he was pissed off on how everything had turned.

It was pretty obvious that he didn't expect her to react like that, especially when she said she wanted a part of his inheritance.

The truth was, she thought that the man was playing a trick on her but as their conversation took longer, she realized that the man was serious on what he wanted to happen.

So she tried to check who he was and voila! She saw that Drake Villarama was the only heir of the Villarama Luxury Hotel Chains. She felt like she was victorious because of that.

Also, in his reaction, she saw that it seemed that he had already ran out of options. So, she decided to make the most out of the situation.

She couldn't help but wonder what Paul's reaction would be if he learned that she was already in a relationship with a rich man.

Would he regret that he had left her?

That scumbag! How could she do that to her? How could he leave her at the coffee shop alone?

She let out a deep sigh. Paul had been there in everything that she had done in her life. He had always been present in all her life's occasions so she couldn't deny that a lot of things would change in her life and in her dreams.

Harmony never thought that Paul would break up with him. Their relationship was almost perfect.

She always try to understand him even if she couldn't understand him anymore.

She tried to adjust herself so everything fits in for him.

She was trying her best for him so she could not really find any reason why he left her. How could he find a reason to fall out of love with her? When she tried to give her best in their relationship even if she had always felt it was always her who exerted effort and said sorry?

Harmony massaged her temple as she was feeling a slight pain in her head.

There was a pinching sensation inside her chest. She couldn't make a fool out of herself. She admitted that it hurt her a lot.

Paul was gone and she felt like her whole world crashed. She felt like she was being torn apart. She was confused on how and where to start again in her life.

Paul had been always there for her for the past couple of years. He had been her inspiration in everything that she had done so what would happen to her now?

Harmony didn't notice that tears were already flowing in her eyes.

She was in pain and she was at a loss. She tried to recall all the memories that she had with Paul. Those were the best part of her life so how could she move on from him?

How could she move on from the pain?

She picked up all the stuff that Paul had given her and then she put them inside a box. She put the box under her bed.

She knew that she had to help herself to move on from the man and not to feel bad with the years that went in vain. Maybe, that was love after all.

She just needed to accept everything had already changed and she had no control of Paul's heart.

It was hard and yet she knew that she had to let go of what she was feeling towards the man because he wouldn't be able to reciprocate it

She had to accept that their love story already came to an end.

Her sobs turned into a loud cry without her noticing it.

She felt like she was stabbed by a sharp knife. The pain was causing her to feel difficulty in breathing.

"How could you do this to me? I love you with all my heart," she said in between her tears.

She clenched her fist and she felt like she wanted to punch him in his face.

What has she done to him that he just left her like that?

"Harmony," shouted the voice outside and at the same time knocked multiple times.

She ignored it. She didn't have the strength yet to let anyone in and talk to anyone. She had a lot of pain inside her heart and she had been crying since earlier.

"Open up," the voice said again and then there was silence outside.

She didn't bother to lift her head which she had buried in one of her pillows. She just wanted to cry until she got tired.

She thought that Paul would be her husband but the man ended her dream earlier at the coffee shop with his ridiculous reason.

How could he say those nonsense statements to her as if he was in a movie? And she was so stupid enough not to get it easily.

She punched her other pillow while her head was still buried on the other one.

In her mind, she was already stabbing Paul to death for doing this to her. In her mind, she could make him suffer. But that's only in her mind.

"How can you do this to me, scumbag!" She shouted. "How could you leave me when I gave you my first kiss? How could you make a promise and then just break it?" She added in a loud voice in between her tears.

She had been crying since earlier but her tears just continued to flow.

Paul was her first boyfriend and no matter how she tried to convince herself it was still hurting.
