Chapter 8 The Meeting of the Ansett Family

There had always been various conflicts between Pack and rouges, and wars had broken out between them, but those were like a farce.

The reason for this was probably because most rouges were expelled and marked as rouges by Alpha wolves, and they were rejected and disliked, even hated, by other wolf packs.

Once I heard Takri's werewolves say that they found the rouges disgusting and that they almost never wanted to see a rouge in their pack, and they considered it was a shame to them.

Rouges had always been oppressed by other wolves, and at some point, an alliance had appeared among them and they began to fight against other wolves.

Rouges, who were looked down upon by other wolves, made the leader of the wolf pack feel tricky.

Adri went to see the head of the Ansett family this time, and wondered if they would agree to become allies with Adri.

"I'll be there too, and I'd still like to see you and Adri together at the Ansett family." Senge said to me once again.

"Senge, don't tell me you're interested in my personal maid." Adri's voice came, vaguely tinged with anger. He came to the door and looked at Senge with his hands on his chest.

"I was just more curious, but seeing her, I can understand, and I have to say, you do have a good taste." Senge looked to Adri and replied with a smile.

"I just don't want people to get the wrong idea that you have some kind of abnormal relationship with her." Adri's voice went cold.

"Sir, I'm sorry." I said, bowing my head, before whom there was no truth, only apology and obedience.

"You need to remember who you are, talking to other people at random will only make people suspect your intentions." Adri said to me unpleasantly, then walked towards the room without looking back.

I stood still and watched his back.

Did I do it wrong?

But he was the one who came to me first!

Couldn't I answer even if someone asks me?

My stomach started churning.

"Kasha, you let him go again, you should have taken the initiative, he's our mate," Bella said reluctantly in my head.

"Well, Bella, listen, I'm just his maid, simply put, it's similar to a slave, it's a completely different thing from what you're saying about mate, do you understand? He won't approve of us at all, so you might as well forget about it while you can."

The fact that Bella always considered Adri and his wolf to be our companions annoyed me, and I spoke in a heavier tone.

"I'm sorry, Kasha, I really should have taken your emotions into consideration." Bella's voice softened.

The next morning.

I walked into his room with Adri's breakfast.

He was already up, dressed in a black suit, all exuding a noble and elegant air, but with a bit of cold arrogance.

"After breakfast, you and I will go together to meet the leader of the Ansett wolf pack." Adri said to me as he ate his breakfast.

"So do I need to prepare anything?" I asked, looking to Adri.

"There's nothing to prepare, you don't need to wear the maid's clothes today, I'll have servants send other clothes to you later." Adri still didn't look at me, as if he was speaking to the air.

I replied, turned around and walked out.

Just as we got back to the room, Rafa brought over the new clothes, throwing them on the chair in disgust and not forgetting to glare at me.

"Just be happy that you can wear such expensive clothes on your second day here, even though you don't even deserve it." Rafa said sarcastically, turning his head as he walked to the door.

"At least I don't try to falsely accuse someone because I hate her." I shot back nonchalantly.

Rafa hurried away as if he hadn't heard what I said.

I changed into my clothes and looked in the mirror.

The color of the long dress transitioned from blue and white, and the gauzy fabric fit my figure perfectly, outlining my curves. The soft and light hemline of the dress fell just to my ankles, and as I took a step forward in my heels, the hemline gently swayed and shone with a faint glow.

In the mirror, I looked like a mermaid who had just stepped ashore from the sea.

When I was ready, Adri was already waiting a bit impatiently.

"It took you nearly an hour, you're any later and Halloween should be over." Adri finished and got into the limo, gesturing for me to sit next to him.

About an hour or so later, we arrived at the Ansett family's estate.

The style was more like a garden than Adri's villa, with beds of roses growing everywhere.

The scent of roses was in the air.

I suddenly remembered that when my father was still alive, he used to say that he had also planted a garden of roses in order to woo my mother.

He later left his original territory with the wolves, but the rose garden was not taken with him. He also thought about replanting it, but being an Alpha, he didn't have that much time.

Until he died to protect me, that rose garden was not planted.

He probably regretted that, too.

"Kasha, what are you gawking at?" Adri's cold voice pulled my thoughts back and I realized I was lost in thought.

"It's nothing, I've just never seen such a beautiful rose garden."

If it were my father, he would have been able to grow a more beautiful garden than this one.

"It's time for us to go to the hall and meet the head of the Ansett family, and by the way, your parents should be there." Adri said to me.

Takri and Tina came too? But he hadn't told me.

Adri led me towards the lobby and just as I walked in, I saw Takri and Tina, and Senge who spoke to me earlier in the pack house.

Next to him was a middle-aged man, supposedly Senge's father, who looked very serious.

"You're free to move around after the meeting, but until then, you have to stay with me." Adri said to me.

Tina also saw me, smiled and nodded to me in greeting.

There was a circular table in the hall capable of seating dozens of people at the same time. Takri and Tina, because they were the leaders of the weaker Dusk Moon Pack, had to sit a little farther away.

The main seat was occupied by Adri and his father Misius, as well as Senge and his father Ollis, extending in this order to the sides, with Takri and Tina, and a few other Alpha's sitting at the very back.

"Alpha Misius, it is time to start the meeting." Kendall, the head of the Ansett family, said to Adri's father.

"The reason for bringing everyone together this time is because the recent rouges have formed an alliance and have been constantly attacking various wolf packs, provoking them many times. These days there have been twenty skirmishes and casualties among the wolf pack members." Misius said in a loud voice to everyone.

Those who attended the meeting began to discuss among themselves, and they did not doubt the words of Misius, for it was no longer a secret.

"Alpha Misius, what would you like us to do?" Kendall asked with a smile on his face.
