Chapter 11 Killing Night

"He said I was a nuisance from the human world and told me to get the hell out of here."

I hurriedly lowered my head, not daring to look into Mireya's eyes again.

Nor did I tell the truth.

"Klopp, you heard that, right? He just doesn't want her to stay here."

Mireya said with a smile.

When I looked at her again, her eyes had returned to normal.

"That's enough for today, but I don't want to see him on my manor again."

Klopp stared at me and raised his voice.

My body began to tremble uncontrollably. It was the first time I faced Klopp's anger, and it made me nervous and flustered.

Mireya took the vampire, and Klopp headed back.

I followed Klopp and could also clearly feel his anger.

Instead of going to his room, he went to his study, but kept me out of the door.

He didn't want to let me into the study with him.

When he looked at me, I saw the disappointment in his eyes.

"Sir, I'm sorry...I..."

I found that I didn't even know how to speak to him to apologize.

"Jenny, it's okay, back to your room."

Klopp said to me, pointing in the direction of the room.

I was tempted to explain, but I couldn't disobey his orders, so I just turned around and walked back.

The sound of a door closing came from behind me and my nose got a little sore.

Klopp must have caught me in a lie, and as a pet, lying to your own master was not allowed either.

Perhaps, he would think of how to punish me.

Was it for me to lie in a metal cage?

Or would he beat me half to death with a whip?

I didn't know.

The sky was getting dark and I sat on my bed and stared.

Normally I'd be asleep by this time, but at the point, I didn t feel sleepy at all.

Not long after, I heard the sound of something being dropped in the study.

I cowered in fear in the corner, I didn't think I would get Klopp so angry by lying.

I thought peace had been restored when there was another sound.

Eventually, I decided to explain it all to Klopp.

I just walked out of the room and Ike was standing in the doorway with a hard look on his face.

"Jenny, don't leave this room, go back."

Ike stopped me.

"But sir...I've done wrong, and I won't run away from it."

I plucked up the courage to say to Ike.

"Whatever you've done wrong, don't leave the room now, and that's an order from the Lord Count."

Ike still wouldn't let me out.

On hearing the word order, I knew that Klopp did not want to see me again.

Ike was here, and should only be here to keep an eye on me.

"Well, don't worry, I won't run away."

I said to Ike, feeling helpless.

I clearly heard a growl coming from the study, like a wild animal.

"Ike, did you hear that? Over there!"

I pointed in the direction of the study and shouted, pushing Ike away and running towards the study.

I didn't know what's in the study, but I knew that Klopp was still in there.

When I pushed open the door to my room, the sight in front of me made me fall to the floor in shock.

A huge bat with bloodshot eyes stared at me.

I tried to look more composed, and when I stood up I realized that the humanoid bat, was Klopp.

"Jenny, are you crazy? This is the Lord Count's Killing Night, you are a human being, come here to look for death?"

Ike said as he pulled me to the side.

"What Killing Night?"

I've never heard of it and I didn't know what it is.

"Once a vampire reaches adulthood, there is a killing night, it is like a vampire's second birthday, and every year it strikes on that day, leaving the vampire berserk, out of his mind, with only one thought in his head, to suck blood and suck more blood."

Ike told me about the origin of the killing night.

So, it was Klopp's night to kill, but he didn't go anywhere, just locked himself in his study.

"So can you tell me what's different about my blood?"

I asked, looking to Ike.

"Your blood type is rare because some people have a rare blood type close to yours, but their blood type is T-N1, and your blood has one more substance than theirs."

Ike continued.

"What substance?"

I was guessing that substance might be good for vampires.

"When vampires go through the night of the kill, it is when they lose their minds and when they are most vulnerable. But having sucked the blood of your blood type, they can regain their wits and bring greater strength."

Ike said, frowning, obviously he didn't want me to do that.

I walked to the study door and Klopp looked distressed.

By this time, he would have been catching humans for blood, just like the other vampires.

And I am his pet, according to common sense, I will be the first to be sucked.

"Ike, are you sure my blood will work on him?"

I asked Ike one last time.

"Yes, oh no, oh my God! Jenny, you can't do this..."

I walked into the room and closed the door behind me. I knew Ike wanted to stop me, but he didn't dare break into Klopp's study.

"Jenny, get out!"

Klopp restrained himself from the urge to draw blood and pointed to the door of the room for me to leave.

"Mr...."

I stood in front of him and pushed my draped hair behind my head.

Klopp glanced at me and quickly shifted his gaze again, but I knew that he could no longer suppress that desire to draw blood.

"Go out to..."

Klopp fell to his knees, his hands gripping the floor with a death grip, his sharp fingertips scratching deep marks in the floor.

There were also books and other things scattered on the floor.

Then, on the back of Klopp, a pair of bat wings unfolded.

I froze for a couple of seconds and walked towards Klopp again.

If he hadn't saved me, I might have died at the hands of Wells or been sold by him to another vampire.

They would treat me like Phil treated his pets.

Thankfully, I met Count Klopp.

A vampire who was very noble and gentle in my eyes.

I knelt in front of Klopp and reached out and hugged him.

"Kabulawaha!"

(I would like to dedicate my hot blood to my noble master.)

It was the first time I had ever spoken a complete sentence to him in Blood language.

I actually learned more than he thought from the book he showed me about the Blood,

And the phrase, which was like a mantra, was also learned from that book.

It was also the only thing I could say to my own master as a pet.

"No...."

Klopp struggled desperately to push me away, but the words forced him to show his fangs close to my neck.

I hugged him tighter and slowly closed my eyes.

"We will all survive."

I whispered softly in his ear.
