Chapter 7 The rules among vampires

Phil looked at Klopp's anger face, did not dare to speak again, and slowly lowered his head.

The lights stopped flickering and everything returned to normal.

Ike led the vampire soldiers to take Phil out of the hall.

Phil never said a word, but I could feel Phil's animosity toward me.

"Just sitting there doesn't fill your stomach."

Klopp turned back to me, full of tenderness, and moved a few plates of meat and fruit from the table to me.

Although I didn't know what Klopp said to Phil, Phil must have been punished.

I ate a little bit of the food on my plate, and the meat was all cooked through.

Klopp put down his cutlery only after I had eaten my fill, but he had only eaten the small piece of meat on his plate since then.

Instead, I ate several plates of fruit and several large pieces of meat.

It was completely dark and I was walking behind Klopp.

He didn't go back to his room, but took me to the study.

The bookshelves were neatly arranged with various books, some in human characters, while others were in a language I could not read.

Klopp pulled a few books off the shelf and walked over to me.

"This is the Blood language, which is what humans call the vampire language, and it would be good for you to know a little bit of the Blood language when you are with me."

Klopp said, then went to a sofa chair and sat down.

I stood by and looked at the book in his hand, which had words on it, none of which I recognized.

There was not even a spelling method either.

"Sit over here."

Klopp opened his arms and gestured for me to come over.

I froze in place.

Klopp laughed and reached for my wrist until I sat unnaturally on his lap.

"Now, I'll teach you the simplest Blood writing, the greatest feature of the Blood language is its abbreviated..."

Klopp explained to me at length, with a gentle voice that made me almost forget what Phil had done during the day.

I even felt extraordinarily relieved to be around Klopp.

Klopp taught me the Blood language while laughing at my mispronunciation.

Soon, I had mastered several simple Blood languages.

"Good, you're smarter than I thought, and as a reward, I can give you a portion of the snacks."

Klopp said with a smile, but he had no intention of getting up.

"Kalu (Blood language: liar)"

I whispered with my head down, but was still heard by Klopp.

Klopp probably didn't expect me to talk to him like this, and instead of getting angry, he laughed out loud.

"I'm not a liar, but I can't stand up because you're sitting on my lap."

Klopp said with a smile.

I was so embarrassed that my cheeks burned and I hurriedly stood up.

A few minutes later, Klopp walked up to me with a few bags of chips and cookies and handed them to me.

These were the snacks of the human world, and after the vampires took over the world, these things, only those in high society can get.

But it actually appeared in front of my eyes!

I looked at the brightly colored bag in my hand, I hadn't tasted it for so long that, even, I couldn't remember when I'd eaten it.

"I'm sorry, I get a headache from eating this, so I can't taste it with you, but I think it's supposed to be delicious, right?"

Klopp asked with some curiosity.

"Yes, it's something that many people in the human world want."

Hold the snack, and I feel reluctant to eat it, because if I eat it, there is no more.

"I'll bring you back a little bit every day from now on."

Klopp said with a smile.

I looked at him with surprise and surprise, could I eat these snacks every day?

So, for the rest of the day, Klopp allowed me to learn the Blood language while eating potato chips.

(Karami...Tolu...)

My eyelids were getting heavy and the words in the book are getting blurry.

"Help! Help me..."

A cry for help brought me to my senses.

I then realized that Klopp was carrying me to my room and the cries for help were coming from the other side of the hallway.

"Don't be afraid, those are punished vampires."

Klopp explained as he hugged me and walked back.

"Punished?"

What would vampires be punished for?

And what was their status?

I didn t really understand the rules among vampires.

"Similar to the human world, such as humans who committed theft and robbery would be judged by the law, so are vampires, the difference is that the vampire's punishment depends on how the manager is judged."

Klopp patiently explained to me.

I looked to the other end of the corridor, where there seemed to be something, but all I could see was an empty corridor.

Back in my room, Klopp laid me on the bed, covered my body with a blanket, and sat on the edge of the bed watching me.

Being watched by him, I didn't know what to do for a while, and I was sleepless.

There was a knock at the door and Klopp got up and walked out.

The person who came should be Ike, and he reported something to Klopp, which I couldn't hear clearly.

They talked at the door for I didn't know how long, tiredness came again and I shrank back to sleep.

"Jenny, you disappoint us that you're with a vampire!"

In the dream, I saw my mother again and she angrily accused me.

"No, it's not like that..."

I cried and tried to explain to her, but she wouldn't even listen and kept pushing me away.

"Jenny, how do you have the face to live?"

My father's reprimanding voice also echoed in my ears.

I cried out and could no longer speak, allowing them to push me to the ground and keep accusing and abusing me.

"Jenny!"

When I opened my eyes again, Klopp's face was right in front of me.

He looked at me nervously and worriedly, and his hands were shaking my body, trying to bring me to my senses.

"I..."

I knew I had disturbed him again with my nightmares, and although he never blamed me for it, I still felt guilty.

"You don't have to apologize to me."

Klopp took me into his arms and comforted me gently.

In his arms, I slowly calmed down.

Klopp seemed to be different from the other vampires, he never hurt me, and even the chains were gone after I arrived at the manor.

Living here, I felt that I was living more like a human being.

He put me back on the bed again, perhaps because he was afraid I would have another nightmare, he didn't leave, but sat on the edge of the bed with me.

"I will not leave the manor today, but in the evening, you will have to come with me to the banquet."

Klopp said with a smile.

"I'm afraid of the way they suck blood..."

Seeing Phil a person sucking blood was scary enough, if there was a group of vampires sucking blood, that scene would be too scary.

"It is disrespectful to the nobility that blood is not allowed to be drawn in public at a high vampire banquet."

Klopp explained.

I was relieved that I could go with him if that was the case.

"You don't have an evening gown yet, and although the usual clothes look good, dressing up is the only way to show respect to the invitees."

Klopp said as he pondered.
