Chapter 2: Fight

Where is this? Vera did not know where she was being taken, everything was very strange to Vera's understanding.

Soft silence. In the vast space, deep darkness. Vera's eyes saw no light. Even though she was widening her eyes.

Things continued like this until it seemed as if death had taken Vera out of the world. While bewildered, Vera did not know how to accept everything that came her way. Everything is new and unexpected. Vera is not ready to accept change, or accept something that she has never experienced before. Suddenly, she saw a bright light shining towards her. Looking closely, it was a figure slowly appearing before her eyes.

It was the figure of a woman, with a beautiful face, a kind heart, and a dignified temperament. She looks very familiar to Vera.

After a few stunned seconds, the girl also realized who it was. Oh my gosh, I can't believe that woman, she is none other than Vera's dead mother.

"Mother... Is that a mother? Mommy!" The girl blinked, trembling. There was a little joy in Vera's eyes.

"Vera!" Oh, that warm, affectionate voice. Really her mother's: "My darling."

"Mother..." Vera hummed. Tears flowed non-stop. Did her mother come pick her up? Vera thinks if that is true, she will be very happy, she wants to go with her mother. The two will reunite, live peaceful and quiet days. There is no longer any trouble that can disturb and hurt Vera anymore.

"I miss you mom." The delirious Vera said the words her heart and even her soul longed for: "I'm so tired. Please let me go with you. "

"Vera, honey." The woman stepped closer to Vera, leaned down, touched her aching face, and said lovingly, "Listen to me. You must keep moving forward. So wake up early. "

"I don't want to..." Vera said through tears, her voice choking: "I want to go with you. Please let me be with you. Mom didn't come to pick me up? I want to live a happy life with you. Please, let me go with you. Don't leave your child alone. Don't leave me."

Vera had tears in her eyes, she couldn't stop crying and begging.

The woman looked at Vera lovingly, then shook her head in denial, her eyes pitiful for her poor daughter.

"It can't be, Vera." Her mother asserted, gently persuaded: "Your fate is not over, you have to move on. Get up and fight. I believe you are a brave girl. Don't be afraid, I will always be with you. Follow my every step, encourage me when I fall. Be strong, conquer fate. Then happiness will smile at you."

"I'm so tired of this life. I don't want to go on ..." Vera sobbed in her throat, tears rolling down more: "I feel this life is terrible, I... it hurts. too..."

Panting, Vera spoke louder and louder, her ribcage rising and falling again and again. The feeling of tightness in the chest is very painful, very uncomfortable.

"Don't lose faith." Mother Vera stroked my cheek, giving me strength: "Then tomorrow good things will come to you, always believe in it. As long as you don't give up. "

The woman looked at her lovingly. A gentle smile bloomed. Oh, that affectionate, loving smile has not been given to Vera for a long time. It made Vera's heart feel soothed and the tears that kept rolling down stopped. Not letting Vera refuse any more, the woman also did not want to waste time, urging Vera:

"I love you." The white shadow said again, in an urgent voice: "Quick, get out of here before it's too late."

The woman's hand touched Vera's forehead lightly, and a lamp lit the dark, damp room. When the light dissipated, the woman disappeared and Vere awoke with wide eyes.

Vera's will was revived from the immense love of a mother. Vera knew she needed to try again.

...

Not knowing where to get her strength from, Vera ran away from the abandoned house with all her might. Just now, after waking up from her dream, she tried to find a way to escape again. Seeing them neglect their guard, drunkenly gamble, drink alcohol. Vera sneaks out. Perhaps they thought that Vera did not have the strength to stand firm, it was difficult to escape, so they ignored the watch.

By the time Vera escaped from the abandoned house, the sun was about to set. Now that it was getting darker and darker, Vera wandered through the woods, hoping to find a way out. But all seemed hopeless as she frantically looked around and realized she was lost.

Desperate to find a way out of the murky, dark forest. The chill made her shiver. While walking, she suddenly fell to the ground because she tripped over a big stone. Vera couldn't stand up anymore, she let her body act against her will, lying on the cold, wet ground. She rested her head on her right forearm, where glittering tears appeared at the corners of her eyes. So Vera lay motionless, silently lamenting her damned fate.

After a few minutes of rest, Vera was finally able to stand up, dragging her feet to move on. Once again she noticed her surroundings but could not determine the direction. It's been nighttime for a long time, so the darkness surrounds her forever. Vera walked lifelessly until she didn't notice she was back on the old road, and even more unlucky, she ran into bad people again.

"Hey, where are you going? You've made us miserable running everywhere looking for it. Now what do you think, we must be punished according to our wishes." Vera lifted her head to find herself facing four men, grinning mischievously. One of them said as he reached out his hand to touch Vera. The gesture as if he wanted to eat her alive. Vera shivered and shrank back, her legs involuntarily backward.

"Come here, baby!" A chuckle came from another man. The people decided to punish Vera with the most terrible thing that she could not have imagined. And if that really happened, it must have been a big psychological shock to Vera later.

"Bastard! Don't touch me." Vera screamed while her body was shaking. She really fell into a panic. Why is this? Mom, you've tried but the end is still the same, why?

Vera began to feel fear as eyes darted over her body from top to bottom with a wistful expression. The lust could be seen in those eyes. Vera instinctively screamed for help but no one was there, no one heard her cry for help. This place is too desolate compared to the city. Criminals cleverly choose the actual area of operation. Suddenly a guy grabbed her ivory arm, Vera reflexively used all her strength to put her mouth on his hand, causing him so much pain that he had to let go of her hand.

"Bop." He was angry, glared at her, accompanied by a blow like heaven. Vera saw her body spin, she fell to the ground, she reached out her elbow to help her as she hit the rough ground. But that didn't lessen the shock one bit. Her vision suddenly blurred, she heard them laugh, then footsteps, coming toward her, Vera's heart pounding in her chest. That slap was

like a stimulant to revive her spirit. Vera knew she had to run away from here, away from them. She managed to roll away and scramble to her feet before they arrived. Then run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

She mustered her strength to escape the danger that was following her. Really silly! They chased behind her, sticking to her without leaving. Vera has never liked to run, at school because her physical strength is quite weak, so during gymnastics classes, the teacher exempts her from warm-up exercises, running around the field 10 laps. Vera can't run fast, she's never hated herself like now, no matter what she's endured before, she has endured without a word of complaint, as well as self-torture. She loved herself, now she realized how useless she was, even running to save herself from harm was not good for her. But she couldn't give up, as if when people fall into despair they become a different person. Stronger and more resilient than inherent limits. Vera was running with all her might now, she knew that if she stopped she would die. If caught by the bad guys, her fate would be even worse. Not only physical pain but also spiritual pain. A girl like her clearly understands that being sexually abused can have terrible consequences. Even if Vera's real life lives on as if it didn't exist, she still doesn't want it to be ruined and disappear forever. Like that, she ran for her life, hoping to meet a savior or maybe cut off their tails.

Vera glanced behind her and realized she was some distance away from the four delinquents, but she wasn't free from them yet.

Please! Someone, she whispered, showed up or the terrain around offers a good chance to cut them off. Unfortunately, all wishes did not come true. She seemed to be exhausted, her physical weakness forcing her to be unable to maintain the distance advantage she had created with her pursuers.

Damn, there are two turns ahead, which one should you choose? Vera had to choose the right turn, had to choose quickly, she didn't have much time to decide, but now she didn't have the mind to make a thoughtful choice, had to try her luck, though do not know what lies ahead waiting for her. Vera closed her eyes and turned to the right, praying it was the right choice.

Vera's heart stopped beating as she turned sharply to the right and realized that this was a dead end. So wrong direction.

Vera stopped, unfortunately in front of her was a large lake, or rather it was a municipal sewage reservoir. She quickly rolled her eyes looking for an alternative way out, but then she realized everything was hopeless. Vera turned her head to look, they were coming very close behind. Out of breath, she watched as their footsteps approached her.

"Run away to escape, obediently follow us."

After that guy said that, they all laughed, laughter made her chills down her spine. Realizing that they are in a dead end position, they are slowly approaching, their breaths coming out in a gasp, with an arrogant smile, the premonition of aggression is coming. Vera staggered back until she came to a point where she was only one step away from falling. She closed her face and took a deep breath, praying someone would come save her, but when she opened her eyes nothing changed.

I glanced behind me, then turned to them. Fear invaded, thoughts of life and things she had experienced flooded her mind. Is it natural that someone is about to leave the world?

She is a poor daughter who was abused by her stepfather, often molested and solicited for love. She is a weak sister who is bullied, blamed and slandered by her step-sister all day long. The man she secretly loved was indifferent, cold, listened to his sister but treated her badly. With friends, they laughed at her in front of her eyes, but behind their backs were ridiculed, they befriended her just out of pity. Not to mention she was the subject of bullying at school. Vera had always been like that, shy, giving up and never confident in herself. She thought about her life, how she was always burned, how no one understood her, things didn't go according to her wishes, she deserved a better life, not life is as pathetic as it is now.

Tears fall like rain when thinking about that. Sinking into unhappy memories, Vera didn't notice a man approaching, grabbing her arm. In a panic, she struggled, struggled with the guy and then whatever happened happened. Vera felt her whole body being lifted up in the air. It was a gentle feeling. Images of the past flooded her mind, replaying in front of her. Vera thought she was going to die, a smile forming on her lips before she sank into darkness.

"Damn it!"

The guy who knocked Vera down screamed when he saw her fall.

"Here let's go."

One of them motioned to them, and they quickly left, before getting into trouble if anyone happened to see them. This area was very close to the city.

They disappeared into the night as if nothing had happened.
