Chapter 3 Chapter 3

But Abby was in love with what she was doing, he could see in her eyes that she has a passion for her job, and her way of talking could turn the toughest of buccaneers into a changed person.

He had made up his mind to answer her questions the moment she had begun talking about his mom in the manner that she performed as though she had known her, he felt her concern for his mother.

"I live with my mother as you tightly said, and she is the reason why I am going through all of these just for her to be fine", he spoke up letting his emotions out.

Abby, noticing a change in his voice and mood, came to an awareness that his mother was his weak point and he was doing all that just to make her feel better.

" You can tell me whatever it is that happened that day, and I promise you that I am going to help you get out of here", she spoke up as she was interested to hear what he had to say.

Warren explained to her where he had grown up and the opportunities that he and the other boys of his age group could not find and also how difficult life was for them.

where her life is considered as the ghetto, as it is meant for people like him who are fearless.

At a very young age, he had to abandon the idea of going to school as there was no money to sustain appropriately, talk more to further his schooling.

He had to hit the streets same with my other friends as we had to make a living and survive in this cruel world they were finding themselves in.

Listening to all these, Abby, had to show some toughness so as not to shed tears as it could be considered a sign of weakness showing that she was becoming familiar with the culprit.

"I am so sorry that your case had to take a year before getting to be reviewed, but if you promise me from your heart here and now that you are going to change for the better, then I give you my word to do everything humanly possible get you out of here", she let out with a smile.

Warren, thinking to himself, could not find the words to explain how he felt as he could not believe his ears,

"How could such a beautiful, intelligent, and wealthy young lady still believe in a bandit like myself?", he was astonished to the core by what was happening as he thought that ladies like her could not believe people like him.

Due to this effort of Abby, her client had made up his mind to change for the better just because she had decided to believe in him.

Abby was pleased to hear that, he had made up his mind to change and she had promised him that, he was going to leave the prison soon enough***.

Abby had fulfilled her part of the bargain no it is left for Warren to do his.

The gates opened up again and this time, it was Abby's client as she could see him walking out of the prison free with no jail unified nor handcuffs.

Warren is a special client as Abby had felt the connection between the two of them right from the second she saw him coming to meet with her.

His smile, charisma, determination, and his energy were everything that she loved about a young person growing up, but it was a pity that he directed all that to the wrong path.

Everything was now okay as life and freedom had given her client another chance to start all over again from the moment he leaves that prison till forever.

" Have you been standing here for long?", Warren inquired as he gave Abby an unexpected hug out of emotion and appreciation for her efforts in the realization of his furlough from that dungeon called a penitentiary cell.

Abby stood still as she could not believe what had just come to pass between her and her client.

Feeling so uneasy, she turned red like a very ripe tomato that was ready to be yanked.

Warren, noting that he had exaggerated with his actions, sincerely apologized to her and promised never to do anything like that again, but Abby told him not to worry as it was nothing.

"So do you have anywhere you want to go to or are you leading the way home straight?", Abby asked her client as she did not have much to do.

Feeling awkward, Warren informed his adviser that he was going to go home immediately as he was dying to meet his mom after one year of not seeing her.

Abby, telling him to drop the formalities, asked him to bust called her by her name rather than always adding the Attorney in front.

Warren was not too sure to be able to do that, but he promised that he was going to try.

He showed his sincere appreciation one more for what she had done for him and also for not laying off on him as maybe the others must have done.

" Thank you on too for coming to check out on my release process this morning Attorney", he announced with sincerity in his expression.

Abby, with a smile, told him not to worry as it is part of her job to show up during her client's release, and also she did not have any important schedules for the day till around 1 pm, so it is normal for her to come at the prison.

With an angry tone, she yelled out,

"Stop referring to me Attorney as I am now your friend and no longer your Attorney, you can just call me Abby", she asserted with a broad smile that made Warren be list in her beauty the more before recollection that she was 7 years older than him and also that they were of different social standards
