Chapter 2 Ambiguous Lie

"I'm helping you to relax."

Tom had an obvious smirk in his eyes, and I knew he was doing it on purpose.

"You know that will make me even more nervous!"

I rolled my eyes over him. The man always managed to stir up my mood swings.

Okay, I admit, I couldn t get my emotions to calm down as soon as I come in the club.

"You should be happy, you're not naked after all."

Tom watched with amusement as I spun back and forth on the floor like a little hen and gave me a slap on my butt.

I smacked his hand away and tugged viciously at my pant leg, saying just as viciously, "Is there a big difference between me and them?"

"You know you're more attractive that way." Tom wisecracked with his mouth.

My dance music came on behind my mouth before I could return the favor.

"Sweetheart, go on, it's your turn."

I threw him an eye-dagger and took a deep breath before entering the stage to the rhythm of the music.

This song was my favorite song of all time, ethereal and passionate, it's amazing how such contradictory characteristics can blend so perfectly in music, like my contradictory mood.

Just by playing this song, I could temporarily forget who I am under the mask and fully entered into the role of the stripper.

Now, the whole club was my stage.

With the flow, I opened my mouth and sang out a sentence of the lyrics.

At the same time my body was slowly starting to turn with the steel pipe in the middle of the stage.

I looked with a condescending gaze at the club-goers on the stage who were cheering louder and louder as I moved louder and louder.

It seemed to be able to look right through their eyes and hit them right in the heart.

As Tom said, I was perfect for the job and I d always known how to get them excited.

I also perked up at receiving those unabashed glances from them that could better help me get into character.

Suddenly I caught a glimpse of long blonde hair out of the corner of my eye.

Even in a place like this, where the most primitive of human wildness was everywhere, he remained noble and calm.

The turquoise blue pupils dilated and contracted as I danced, and I could tell by the frequency of the rise and fall of his chest that he wasn't as calm as he seemed.

He looked so much like Barbie's husband, Ken, that I decided he would be my "prey" for the day.

"Hey, man!"

I pouted my red lips, kissed my fingers, and then gave him a heart with two fingers while sending him a wink.

I even saw his breathing had started to catch, thinking it was his first time in a place like this.

As the song went to a crescendo as well, I danced to the enthusiastic music and moved through the crowd at a brisk pace eventually coming to his side.

I leaned in close to his ear, "You look so cute when you blush."

I saw his pale face instantly flush with red blood, and his breath began to catch, even as he gulped.

That's the way Tom taught me, and it's the only way to better attract these people to come especially for us every day.

And as the most toxic woman in the club, I was the only one who could get this close to these men and accomplish the best seduction.

I'd always needed to put on a fake smile and bounce between these men for the past three months, saying this ambiguous words.

However, reacting as adorably as he did was the first time I'd seen it in the three months, and I leaned in close to his body, crouching slowly down from between his legs and touching my lips again as I stood up, brushing against his arms and eventually sitting on his lap.

With only his thin suit pants between us, I could already feel his male physical response growing fast in me.

"Whew~"

I blew a breath in his ear to cover my trembling body and nausea churning in my chest.

Thank goodness, as I was about to overwhelm myself and my music was winding down, I eventually came up to his ear and said, "I really expect to see you again tomorrow."

Such ambiguity-filled words were apparently what Tom asked of me, also the words that all lap dancers should learn.

The lights around the stage faded out and my performance for the night was finally over, it had been a damn long song, so I guessed I d need to pick a shorter song next time.

I thought in my mind as Max, who was on the sidelines, came at my ass.

"I'd give him a kiss if I were you."

"You know I wouldn't do that."

I resisted Max's contact somewhat, I could always feel the hostility in her eyes.

She hated me and thought I was someone who could seduce men and would lure them into going crazy over me.

After all, two-thirds of those former clients of hers had switched over to my camp.

"I think you know our rules."

Tom, who had been watching me from the side, relieved me and I gave him a grateful look.

"I know, I know, you're always defending her. She's your cash cow!"

Max grumbled under his breath and followed the other two guards backstage in great frustration.

There were originally two security guards behind me as well, who took it upon themselves to protect the other dancers after watching Tom come over.

As everyone thinks in their hearts, they're all strippers already, so what can't they do?

And we were forbidden to have any personal relationships with our guests in the club.

Even Tom was usually very nice, but any dancers who broke this rule were all kicked out without mercy.

But there's no guarantee that some of the men with their hearts in the right place will want to do something backstage, so there's always two security guards following us backstage.

Of course, ten guards didn't bring as much security as one Tom, who was a former mercenary, after all.

"Selena, your performance today was simply amazing!"

Jenny, who appeared out of nowhere from the background, gave me a big hug, and I repeated it in word by word as I dodged her passionate attack with a side-step.

"I told you, Don t! Call! Me! By! My! Real! Name! Here!!"

"There's no one else around."

Tom was relieving Jenny again, oh the man always said things against his heart like that, but the actual actions still matched his innermost thoughts.

It seemed to sense my misdirected gaze.

"Jenny it's your turn to perform."

"Ah, it's my song to perform."

The two shouted in unison, and I scoffed even more.

Jenny ran to the front desk with a small red face, not daring to look back again.

Tom waved his hand at me as if nothing happened, goading his shoulders and waved his hands.

"You should have asked her out for a date."

I said to Tom with some amusement.

"It will happen one day!"

Tom didn't look at me, but moved the monitor on the table showing the stage screen in front of us to take a closer look at Jenny's performance on the stage.

My attention was also drawn to Jenny's dance on the screen.

"She should have a more appreciative stage for her dancing, right?"

I whispered to Tom.

He didn't seem to hear me, and his eyes were just fixed on the figure moving on the screen, with a gentle ripple.
