Chapter 6 Jealous

I was blown away by the wind when I got off the bus, just a short walk away I could see the big school. I already ran that because I was about to get caught up in the meeting. I refused Zeke's offer. As I said, I am not crippled. I know that Zeke are just being nice, but I have a feeling, he has a job he needs to work.

I don't know if it's a mistake for Zeke and I to go on the road again, I knew him. He has a soft heart. When I sinned against him he ignored me, so I wanted to be angry with him. I just talked a little bit and he becomes like that again. But why am I complaining like this? I want him like Zaffiro's attitude but I missed the old him. What the fcvk!

As soon as I could walk, I was hit by a small rock that caused my bag to fall, so I was so nervous when some of the important papers I needed for the meeting fell. Fortunately, the lawn was dry, so no one got wet in my belongings.

I immediately felt the heat and sweat even though it was only seven in the morning, I got up and walked again but I was just so surprised because there was a shadow following me. I ignored it until I got to the gymnasium. I can't stand it anymore. I immediately faced the previous one next to me. I looked down at a boy whose eyes widened, looking like he was just entering because he was still wearing his bag. It looked up at me as one of his hands was placed on the back.

"Why are you following me?" I asked then looked at my watch. "You're late for your class," I said authoritatively causing the child to back away.

It slowly released what was hidden behind him, a black color that was an important reason to me to lose my earlier aura.

"Teacher, your wallet fell earlier," said a child who looked up at me calmly.

I bowed slightly as he raised his hand that was forcibly reaching out to me.

I smiled a little then nodded. "T-Thank you," I said softly and was still stumbling because of the child's smile and running fast.

It s just surprising because only a few kids smile at me and stare for that long. I went inside, fortunately and hadn't started yet so I was able to fix myself. A Math club adviser smiled at me. He adjusted his mirror to match his appearance, he s not a nerd. It was natural for him to wear that.

"Good morning Ms. Ficarro," he greeted me so my gaze cleared.

I just smiled and greeted him as well. "Morning."

I just focused on what our Chairman was saying, most of my colleagues were purely advisory clubs which was just fine and I agreed. There are also some teachers who don't like me. Then don't. I couldn't kill that. I hope they just.

At dyes our meeting ended, I went straight to the canteen because of the hunger I was feeling. I haven't had lunch yet. I also don't know where Patricio is because I haven't seen him since before. I only took rice and pickles, I was about to leave when Erwin, the one next to me, suddenly signaled to me. I stopped and looked at him in surprise.

"Two Cappuccino," Erwin smiled. "Wait for it."

"Why?" I wonder.

He looked at the food I was holding. "It's a miracle that you don't have coffee in your hand. It's refreshing," he said laughing and then adjusted the glass again.

"I'm first, my grip is heavy," I said then he turned away.

I went straight to my office, put down some of my belongings and maybe later arranged the papers. I was about to swallow the food when suddenly there was a knock. I straightened up and took a deep breath.

"Come in," I said calmly then the door opened.

That's how I dropped my jaw when I saw who they were, Erwin came in first with the two he ordered, he nodded at the next sign that he was entering it.

"You have a visitor Zorxy," Erwin smiled causing me to stand up.

Zeke came out carrying a paperbag. I almost stumbled especially when our eyesight was right.

"Come on Mr. Engineer, don't be afraid of Ms. Ficarro, that's nice," Erwin said laughing again.

I still can't take my eyes off Zeke who is rolling his eyes at my office.

"Well, I won't be long, you still have a guest. Here, isn't that your favorite?" he smiled as he landed on the coffee. "I'll go," he said to Zeke then closed the door.

I looked at Zeke who was looking at the coffee given by Erwin, he also took it back and then looked at me.

"Ah, sit down first," I told him which he did immediately.

I sat down as well. I noticed he wasn't looking at me so I adjusted, for the first time.

"What are you doing here?" I asked incredulously.

"Who is that man?" he asked quickly still not looking at me.

Why does he tend to answer so far away from my question?

"Erwin, math teacher," I replied because I knew he wouldn't be satisfied if I just gave his name.

"Ah. I just got a visit here, because I went with a son of my co-worker," he said calmly, now looking at my food.

I felt disgusted and ashamed. He asked me earlier if I had eaten, I answered 'yes' because I did not want him to keep up and be disturbed. I could clearly see its sly grin and bite on his lower lip. I was about to speak to invite him to eat but he stood up on his own.

He looked at me cause I was nervous. "I'm leaving, I'm late for work. Good morning," he said quickly.

I was about to say something again when he turned his back on me and hurried out of the room. I don t know what I should feel. Mixed emotions bother me. Annoyance, panic and confusion. I barely felt any pain. He is not like this. Of the two of us I was the only one who often did such a thing, turned away abruptly.

I just shook my head and then refocused on the food, maybe I was just too carried away. I also haven't eaten since last night so my emotions may be a bit shallow.

In the middle of my meal the door suddenly opened, I only knew one person like that. It opened with a smile and then hurriedly closed the door. It ran fast at me and it looked like he had just arrived.

"What's up?" I start because of the extent of his smile.

He lowered all his grips and fanned himself with his hands. "Did you know, that I had a handsome man meet in the quadrangle," was his introduction which I ignored because I was busy chewing.

He looks like he's cursing the man because that's how often the aura of his face is every time he meets someone.

"So?" I asked then drank the coffee.

"Hello! He just gave me this paper bag, he even told me to consume it because he cooked it! The ritual I'm doing is really effective!" he said excitedly as he stomped.

"Where?" I asked him.

I don't want to ask because I have no interest. But there is something in me that compels me to ask that. He barely stopped trampling then bent down again and picked up that paperbag. That s how I stopped drinking coffee because of that familiar look.

"Here!" He handed me a paperbag that the man I had refused to accompany earlier had brought, and said that I was ready to eat.

"Who did that come from?" my curiosity even though I already know the answer.

"Who else? That Engineer Ezekiel, I'm really wondering why he didn't give it to you, he said he didn't know where you were."

I was almost depressed by what I heard from Patricio.

No Pat, I m here, we talked, why did he say he didn t know where my office was?
