[A 10 Month Old Memory]
Kris Tang
Many heartbroken days go by.
leaving me so distraught, helpless, vulnerable, and angry.
How should I react when my best friend didn't remember meeting me?
He doesn't remember changing me!
Doesn't remember taking his heart out of his chest and placing it upon mines!
He has no memories of all the years we spent so inseparable from each other.
My Demon brother.
My vicious King.
My hard loving companion.
All he wanted to do now, was attack me and take his heart back out of my chest, but the men and women of the castle would never allow him, so they guarded me heavily.
Luckily for everyone else, The King seemed to have the most utmost control of his behavior this time around. He was less aggressive as before towards the guards and maids, and he walked the halls humbly, talking to his people.
They also all kept in the back of their minds to not dare provoke or anger him, fearing the new demonic form his wolf had taken on, would surface. We were terrified of him going back into that form!
Was that still even Aldrerix? He still smells the same, has different habits and values now, but it was still strange his form changed. I fear this would be a problem in the future.
As for me, I wasn't allowed to visit Bahm. The tension was too high, just by hearing my voice in our link, set him off harshly. So, I stayed in my room, eating, playing on my phone and using our bond most days to get a feel of his emotions since I couldn't understand his language.
With everyday passing, Nyku and the help of a few older workers of the castle, who's been around since Bahm's father, took it upon themselves to teach Bahm a little bit about the world he's forgotten and also how to speak English again.
After his awakening weeks ago, he's been combining his native language with bits of the English language to communicate back to Nyku, as she demanded him to learn. For my sake mostly.
She felt for me. Although it was hard for me to understand him, I'd die to hear the slightest bit of remembrance from him...
Anything.

Nyku, The Fox Demon ✾
"I really would like it if you're able to talk to Kris. He means a lot to you, and we all want you to remember this!"
I speak softly, but demandingly to Bahm in our old ancient language. I spoke his language and translated to English after, in case Kris was listening in with their connections and so Bahm could learn.
"Are you sure it was my idea...to put my heart in his body, Nyku?" Bahm replies back in the native tongue while maidens began dressing him this afternoon.
I sigh and roll my eyes before shaking my head yes and turned around when the maidens brought him around a divider to dress him.
He was basically stuck in his times from 900 years ago when he was behaving very King-like and not so immature like the past 100 years he's been. He was even more grateful that he didn't have to fight in The Demon Realm anymore and not once had he requested to spend time alone with any of the women in the castle, nor has he asked for bottles and bottles of alcohol like before. He was solely focused on trying to remember what happened to him before going to Hell and getting to know the young Lycan that lived in his castle with him, all over again.
He was starting to become troubled from hearing Kris crying in his chambers at night. He confided in me that he could hear Kris all the way in his room sometimes, and it was clear he could feel his emotions too! That brought me the slightest bit of hope and excitement!
Then his aggression towards Kris slowly died, only trying to really study and understand him, so Kris was allowed to leave his chambers and walk freely amongst the castle from time to time.
Bahm tried his hardest to ignore the hurt he was sensing from Kris's body, but he too could feel it in his own. It was all so new to him. He couldn't quite understand why he would give Kris his heart and he didn't want to assume anything too intimate yet, so he'd never say a word once running into Kris.
That was until, Bahm decided to access his ability to infiltrate thoughts accidentally one day!
Why didn't he do this before! I rolled my eyes to the back of my skull!
We were all having breakfast one morning and Kris joined this time. Bahm was quiet surprised Kris actually stayed in the dining room and not ran off emotionally. He was even more surprised that the maids and servants were very respectable towards him too.
It just so happened, Bahm saw a thought cross Kris's mind. One about the breakfast they were eating today as he told me later.
Almost ten years ago Bahm made Kris a bacon, ham and cheese frittata for breakfast when he first brought him into the home of our castle.
Bahm was intrigued to see this true thought, and even more at the image of young Kris standing along side him with total fondness.
He was shocked at himself for actually finding a loyal comrade and forgetting all about him.
Then, In a very heavy and broken accent, Bahm communicates to Kris on his own, sharing the memory he had seen out loud. It stunned us all. Even Momma!
"You've...
Eaten...with I...before?
....I made?"
The whole table stops their chattering and munching and we all look over to the end of the table at Bahm. Then we all looked over to Kris who's eyes were penetrating right through Bahm. Kris only nods his head, not even showing the slightest bit of surprise that Bahm was forming sentences in English now and he continued to smear ketchup all over his Frittata.
That wasn't the last memory he saw at breakfast time. Purposefully, Kris flood his mind with memories of Bahm cooking for him many times, even to the time they met when he was younger.
We could all see this, for Bahm hardly touched his food and only watched Kris eat the rest of our breakfast. He was infatuated with the forgotten memories.
"Your Highness, please eat up before your food turns cold." An older maid gently says in our native language from the corner of the room.
Momma Fei and I gently look over to Kris with a half smile. We knew Bahm was becoming more interested in Kris, for he never cooked for anyone, not even his mother, so that must've been a big sign Kris was a very important being to him. His created sidekick.
That night, Bahm also recalled his final moments exiting through The Gates of Hell to return back home and how his body set on fire when he crawled for miles after sensing his heart beating above him.
It was Kris!
He told the story so loud and animated, Kris couldn't help but to leave his chambers that night and head on over to the commotion going on in the lounge room.
Those final moments he shared to mom, Leolo, me, and now Kris who stumbled upon the room slowly. Leolo and I made sure to translate in English for Kris to understand.
Bahm recalled rotating and pulling the moon and sun to make the days go by faster, but then he suddenly stops explaining midway when he couldn't remember why he was doing such an act.
When he began to ask, "But why would I agree to go to Hell," the room would become silent and it made him grow angry because he wasn't able to get answers of why he would even consent to such. Mom already said no mention of Hunnie so I too, kept my mouth shut.
"You went for your people my son."
Mother would say to him, but Bahm could sense deceit and blew up in rage that his mother was withholding information from him.
"THAT'S A LIE!" He roared in English angrily. He stared at us all with eyes of distrustful eyes.
He was on the verge of shifting into the horrid, mutated and sinister Lycan form we all feared to see again, so we all told truthful lies, putting him at ease momentarily.
Eight months went by, and Bahm was more understanding and fluent of the English language. He no longer needed translation from his people, or education about how the world was this century.
He was also warming up to Kris, showing signs of submission towards him since he held his heart in his chest and spending more time around the castle with him. It wasn't like the bond they had before, but Bahm knew and seen enough to determine the kind of being Kris was to him.
He also saw a beautiful, red haired Siren with Lucious lips through Kris's vision, pleasing him in a way we wanted to experience again. Why Kris thought of that one day, I couldn't even tell you!
The memory of him brought upon some kind of warm feeling of remorse that he couldn't understand and it intrigued him. That woman must've been around him when he felt very bad for an action he committed, since he felt this connection to this specific memory, but she lived in Witchy World and attended The Academy, so this wasn't going to be possible for Bahm. I know Hunnie still attends the academy.
For Momma Fei and us all advised everyone to keep him away from anything that might bring forth memories of the past, but Bahm being Bahm whom wanted to go now, put up a fight and demanded he go live oversees with Kris again like he did before in the thoughtful memories.
"I can live with Kris again, I want to go see that girl!"
Bahm hissed angrily to mother and I. He had no idea why they were so involved in what he was doing now.
He felt fine to travel out of the country with Kris and he knew they all trusted Kris to watch over him if needed. He wasn't a child and craved to be treated like a trustworthy King.
"Wait, what girl!" Momma Fei look over to Kris with wide eyes, thinking it could be Hunnie he saw in Kris's train of thoughts.
Kris understanding her wide eyes, blurts that it was a girl Bahm dated, a siren.
Kris knew sincerely Bahm felt connected to Lydia, because it was a memory of the time he betrayed his mate even after marking her. It was a secret Kris was doing really well at not exposing to Bahm.
