THE BEGINNING:CHAPTER VII:CRASH

Silently approaching the first class section, He surreptitiously sneaked passed the creature into a nearby seat where he concealed himself and glanced at a hairy figure standing right in front of a man who held a steel rod as his weapon against the beast. Luke had earlier overheard a strange growl coming from the bottom of the stairs when he was keeping a tight lookout for Marion who he thought would have already returned to assist her co-attendant and had told the passengers to take her into hiding behind the blue seat back including his family and took out a thick rod lying on the ground beneath the left seat before concealing himself behind the left flank of the white plastic board of the stairscase where the handrail ends. The creature was quite oblivious to his presence and had slowly ascended the stairs into the compartment growling silently with dribbles of saliva falling down from its razor sharp teeths as it gazed on the empty seat with its bloodshot eyes. As it peered down on the empty seats, Luke made a sneak attack from behind landing two painful blows on its loin making it groaned in sheer pain after Luke had inflicted deadly blows on the hip and thigh region of its hairy body leaving and fearlessly came face to face with the horid creature while the other passengers behind him peered transfixed at the deformed monster from their hiding places in utter terror and shock.

"Keep your heads down! Don't let it see you!", Luke screamed at the other passengers while the monster wallow in pain with fresh drops of pink liquid dribbling on the floor from the ghastly wounds but soon stood up in rage trying to retaliate back and waitied patiently in front of Luke who bravely held his rod in bold defense against the creature. The creature stood right in front of waiting for his wound to heal with hot fumes of air puffing out of his nostrils before completing his mission of slaying Luke who seems not to be intimidated by his scary sight and was about to attack using his right claw when a bullet shot from behind caught his body penetrating through the scapula preventing him from inflicting a lethal blow on Luke's handsome face which might have disfigure him. It squealed once more in pain turning around to snuff out the life of the unknown shooter that shot it from behind but Luke swiftly landed two more hits on the back of the wounded beast making it shriek in pain and knelt down trying to stop the bleeding waiting for Murphy to end its life with a last shot which didn't come out since the pistol was a bit damaged when he earlier found it underneath Kelvin's corpse. The monster noticed that Murphy was having a problem with his pistol and evaded Luke's third strike before thrusting his steel rod through the sealed window shattering the glass allowing it to sail through air towards the right jet engine which it instantly utterly damaged after bouncing off the cowling into the propelling fan inside the jet engine. The jet engine quickly malfunctioned exploding with a loud bang which attracted the attention of the survivors on board including the beast and those in the flight deck.

" "Beep! Beep! Beep!", The red button resounded loudly in the flight deck informing Malcolm including Marion of a damaged jet engine through the crew alert system which was also displayed on the green screen of the primary flight display in front Malcolm indicating the impaired engine on the right wing of the aircraft, under the gliding slat near its trailing edge. The damaged engine emitted a lot of murky smoke trailing behind the fuselage hampering the flight balance and tilted the plane off course drifting further away from its designated route towards a snowcapped montane filled with snow cliffs that could barely be seen due to great height the impaired aircraft hovers above it.

"No! No! Shit! We've lost an engine, sooner or later, the engine is gonna stop functioning. I'm afraid we have no choice but to request for immediate assistance from the air traffic control", Malcolm said reading the digital screen of the primary flight display which kept on exhibiting a red color display on the damage part of the engine and instantly pressed the button of the automatic portable ELT which conveyed an audio alert to the air traffic control but wasn't able to transmit the location of the aircraft since the in-built design of the flight's emergency locator transmitter was only specifically designed to convey audio signals in case of emergencies. Marion stood beside him sobbing silently as she kept trying to pacify her fears that have clouded her thoughts giving her no time to react to his next comment. "Marion, you have to prepare the passengers on board or whoever's is present on board for emergency landing which I believe is quite impossible right now since we are currently sailing of course from the required route", He said peering at the another green screen of the navigation display.

"Can't you control the aircraft back on course?", She asked in a calm voice looking at him with her wet eyes shrouded with hot tears.

"Honestly, I don't know but it can be possible if we have two pilots here in the cockpit and since Murphy isn't here, I can't veer the aircraft back into its former route", Malcolm said flicking a serious glance at the empty Murphy's empty seat beside him. "So, you have to leave now to pacify the passengers. I'll be right here trying to steer the plane back to its former....", Malcolm wasn't finished with what he was about to say when a voice intruded which came to him through his large headset.

"This is the air..tower in.... Greaves..... flight A43...... state.... your... emergency", the coarse voice ordered from the air traffic control located in Greaves which luckily read their emergency alert few minutes ago after He had pressed the emergency button while

"We need your help right now! We have had a damaged engine that's leading off the radar!", Malcolm screamed trying to make his voice heard.

"Tell...us what... happened to the engine", the coarse voice inquired trying to figure out how critical is their emergency situation.

"I have no idea but I guess something got stuck inside and exploded just like that", He explain with hot sweat running down his face totally dampening his flight jacket and caught sight of the summit of a huge mountain that stood afar from the aircraft heading towards their direction as the aircraft steer towards the same direction. He forgot about his conversation with the officer in the air traffic control and pulled hard on the control panel trying to steer the aircraft away from the wrong direction in order for the fuselage to evade the mountain.

"Hurry now! And go get Murphy! I need him right here as soon as possible!",He shrieked at Marion who gaze transfixed at the gigantic size of the mountain through the front window but she snapped out of the trance and went out of the flight deck in order to go get co-pilot Murphy. She also

recalled that Jessica was still alone in the third cabin amongst the lifeless corpses and would probably be gripped with sheer fear once she saw the dead bodies lying unconscious all around her especially the sad death of her husband which would hurt her deeply. As soon as she left the cockpit, she saw Jessica sitting beside her dead husband whom she had carried into the blue seat from the floor looking back at her as if being in a trance after noticing the dead corpse of her beloved husband lying beside the dead agent which cause so much sorrow and bitter pain before tossing his body on the Mary's seat where she sat peering blankly at entrance of the cockpit and Marion who decided to comfort her before going to get Murphy from the other compartment but unknown to her, Murphy had found himself being throttled by the beast while Luke lain down on the ground crawling with a bloody mouth towards the passenger seat struggling to recover from a brutal blow inflicted on him by the werewolf who had capitalized the situation turning the tables against them.

Luke managed to get up with the aid of the blue seat and gaze through the shattered window, which permitted the cold wind to enter into the compartment, at the impaired engine that had ceased to function properly hinderng the proper function of the right wing which tilted the aircraft sideways trailing black smoke in the night air and crawled towards Lora who hid behind the back seat at the far end of the section with her baby crying loudly in the cabin after the explosion.

"Honey, the aircraft isn't going last much longer and I guess we have to prepare ourselves for the worst", He said spatting out some blood out of his mouth which he wiped off with the back of his left palm. Hus blue shirt was stained with blood after sustaining a superficial wound on his shoulder.

"But you are bleeding in front of me and all you care about is the plane", Lora replied in frustration trying to keep her voice down.

"It's nothing dear, it just a minor wound that's all. And we must try to save our lives from that monster over there and the damaged aircraft as well", He muttered wiping off the last stain of pure blood from his face.

"Fine... what about little Sarah? How are we gonna protect her?", Lora said peering at him searching for a solution.

"We have to keep her somewhere safe like....", He replied and peered at the overhead locker above them. Lora followed his gaze with her eyes and saw the overhead locker slightly open revealing some handluggages inside."you will have to use the pram to shroud her and placed her inside the locker where she can be protected even if we crash-land", He explained checking his wounds which was laced with claw marks ghastly printed on his shoulder by the abominable monster

"Okay,.... I'll do that but what about the beast? Won't it attack once I stand up?", She queried whispering softly to him.

"No, it won't because I already have a plan to keep him busy while you do what I told you to do", He replied glancing at the monster who still held Murphy by the neck and beckoned on the other passengers hiding behind the seat-backs.

"And what is the plan?", She whispered again taking shufti glances at the monster

"I'll act as a decoy while you and few others will quietly carry out the plan", He said trying to get up from the ground.

"But won't you get hurt?", She asked him in apprehension feeling anxious about his risky plan.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine", He replied plodded towards the beast who was unaware of his surreptitious approach while it kept throttling Murphy who was trying to wriggle out of his tight grasp. As Luke stealthily trudge forward behind the beast, he saw a broken seat by his right side which left out a sharp metal that protruded out of the seat and he slowly pulled it out hiding behind his back using it as his cudgel against the creature as he steelthily walked towards the beast.
