CHAPTER 2: NO OTHER CHOICE

From then on, she did not want to accept the salary given to her by her bosses as a waitress because she knew she still owed them a lot.

What still bothers her is that she has to find a physical therapist for her mother so that she will not be completely paralyzed because half of her body is still unable to move.

Diva once spoke to her intensely. She knew they seemed to be a burden to them, but she didn't hear anything from the gay man who gave them shelter, food, and even her mother's medicine.

"Sam, please don't take it the wrong way. I know you need money for your mother's complete recovery. A customer approached me and he was ready to pay thirty thousand every week for just one hour. You just need to dance in front of him, and that's it. You don't have to give up your body. All he wants is for you to dance. You also don't have to undress. "You just have to tease him by dancing," he explained at length.

"I-I can't do that," she quickly refused.

"I know and I won't force you. I'm just concerned for your mother's health. This is the answer to your prayer. You won't sell your body. You'll just dance. Don't decide now. Think about it," Diva said, smiling and even touching her on the shoulder.

She entered the room that she shared with her mother while thinking about what Diva had said. She stared at her mother. She woke up and raised one hand when she saw her. She was already having difficulty with that simple gesture.

"S-sa-mmm ... maaan.. tha ..." Even calling her name was difficult because her mouth was already hard to move after her stroke. The doctor said that it would return to normal when she had her own therapist.

She quickly approached her mother. She pointed to the water on the table next to the bed. She took the glass filled with water. She first helped her mother get up so that she could drink the water. There is still a little water pouring on the side of her mother's mouth because she cannot open her mouth properly.

She wanted to cry because of her mother's pitiful condition, but she stopped herself because she didn't want her mother to see her like that. She also needs to reassure her mother.

If she just relied on her salary as a waitress, she probably wouldn't be able to get her mother treated even if she had to save for a few more years. Unless she agrees to go out with the customers and sell her body. She felt a shiver of disgust just thinking about that.

She remembered again what Diva had said. She'd make $1,000 per week for just one hour of dancing every night. She doesn't have to give up her body. The client will just look and will never touch her body.

The man allegedly liked her when he saw her one night at the bar. He is not an exclusive customer of the bar. Diva said that the client's friend only took him one night to have some fun, that was the night he saw her at the bar.

She put her mother back to bed. She saw her and immediately closed her eyes again to go back to sleep. She felt sorry for her mother's condition, so she decided to accept the client's offer.

Her dancing schedule is at twelve o'clock every night. A taxi picks her up at the house of her gay boss, where she and her mother are staying. She goes home after an hour, and a taxi takes her home again. Her client always calls a taxi to pick her up every night. The taxi brings her every night to a condo near Diva's place.

She had been dancing for her client for five months now, but she really didn't have any clue as to what his face looked like. She was expecting that her client would be an old man with a big belly. However, based on the physical posture that she can see, her client obviously takes care of his physique.

She doesn't even know his name; Diva just always calls him Mr. MC.

They also never talked, so she never heard his voice. Her only job really is to dance for him, and then he leaves immediately after that and lets her get dressed in the room with a small stage ready for her to dance on.

There is no bed in that room. She thinks that the man has actually customized that room so that she can have a small stage where she can dance.

She did not regret her decision because the money she earned just by dancing was a big help. She was able to hire a physical therapist for her mother. Next week, they will also move to their own place because she is already ashamed to stay longer in Diva's place, especially when her boss doesn't accept any amount of money from her as her share. Diva and her boyfriend even tried to convince her to just stay so she could save more money for her mother, but they eventually understood her decision in the end.

They moved into a small house. It has two bedrooms and a small living room and kitchen.

The female physical therapist she hired comes to their house at eight in the morning and ends her shift at five in the afternoon. The place was quiet, so she wasn't too worried about every time she leaves her mother for more than an hour to dance for her client. She has seen great improvement in her mother's condition since she got professional help for her.

Every Saturday, she goes to the mall to buy the things they will need at home. That's her routine. She wears the opposite when she is not dancing. Her body was always wrapped. Her favorite thing to wear is a long dress up to her heels. She knew that her clothes looked so old-fashioned, but they still couldn't hide her beauty. So many people still stare at her even though she looks like an old spinster because of the way she dresses.
