Chapter 2

CARLA

Just a few days later, I met this rich dude named Jerry Hank. He's a rich businessman and he's quite handsome too. Of course, we spent the night together and he wanted my contact. I gave it to him and made it clear to him that he only has to call me for business and strictly business. Nothing more.

I'm going to the club tonight to get wasted. I don't care what people think of my lifestyle. I am clearly whatever you think I am, life has made me this way. I have learned to embrace it and keep living my life the way I want.

"Are you leaving already?." Joyce asked me as I came out of my room dressed.

"Yes. Do you wanna come with?."

She shook her head, "Not today Carla. I am really tired. Perhaps some other day."

I shrugged, "Suit yourself. Just make sure you get enough sleep. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." "Be careful!." She yelled after me.

"I will Joyce. Quit yelling. It doesn't suit you." I said shaking my head.

I got a cab that took me to the club. As soon as I got in, I went to get myself a drink at the bar passing through the crazy people going wild at the club.

"Welcome, Carla. What should I get you?." The bartender asked.

"You know what to get me, Kevin," I replied still looking around.

He smiled and got my usual. I took a sip of it and brought out my pack of cigarette to smoke. Just as I was about lighting it, someone helped me do it instead.

"Thank you," I said without looking at the person.

"Mr Jay, what can I get for you, sir?." Kevin asked the person beside me.

I already knew it was a man who helped me because most girls don't have time to do what he did for me. And I like the scent of his cologne.

"My usual Kevin." The person replied.

Why does his voice sound familiar?. That's when I decided to look at him and I got a big surprise. It's him. The man who I saved his life a few days ago. What is he doing here?. Doesn't that question sound dumb Carla?. My subconscious mind told me.

"Hi. We meet again." He said with a smirk.

He looks more handsome and bold than he was a few days ago. He's even giving me this mischievous look that I feel like I made a mistake saving his life. Perhaps leaving his ass to die isn't such a bad idea after all.

"Yeah." That was all I said.

"You seem to be in a bad mood tonight."

I rolled my eyes, "No I'm not. I happen to be very busy you know." He raised his brow probably amused or surprised.

"Busy? You don't look like you're working."

I frowned, "Really? Are you not seeing well or what?."

I think he understood what I meant because he started looking at me lustfully. I don't like the way he's looking at me so I got up and left the counter. I found a corner to seat watching all the people dancing and even the stripers. I thought I had lost him but he came again.

He was holding a bottle of my favourite alcoholic wine. He smiled and sat beside me. A lot of girls waved at him as they passed by, believe me, he's gorgeous. But I don't understand why I can't be around him. I always feel uncomfortable and I want to leave.

"Why do you keep running from me? I don't bite." He said pouring the drink in two glasses.

I scoffed, "Why don't you leave me alone and stop following me?."

He looks surprised by my outburst but decided to shake it off. He offered me a glass which I took without hesitation.

"You never gave me the chance to properly thank you for saving my life."

"It is nothing. You don't have to follow me around just to do that." I told him.

He ran his finger through his hair and loosened his tie. Then he took off his coat leaving him with the white shirt and his trousers. I can't believe what I'm seeing. Damn, he's so hot and sexy, I want to have a taste of him.

I finished my drink and poured myself another one to stop me from embarrassing myself.

"Whoa. You might wanna slow down drinking that."

Too late. I pulled him close to me and pushed my lips into his. At first, he didn't react, probably because he's surprised at my forwardness. But then he dominated and pulled me by my waist. Wow, he's such a good kisser. I wonder what other things he's good at.

Okay, the alcohol is having a great effect on me, I can't control myself.

"Don't you think we should move this elsewhere?." He asked breaking the kiss.

"Sure. Whatever you say."

He got up and led me out of the club. We walked through hallways till we finally got to a room. He opened the door and we got in, immediately devouring each other.

I woke up to the full light in the room. I looked beside me and saw him still sleeping. He looks like a cute baby and I wanna kiss his lips and do it all over with him again. Even though I was drunk last night, it's one of the best nights of my working days.

But I think I'm gonna have to end it here sadly. I don't like the weird feeling I'm getting around him. I don't want to be committed or caught up with anything. I'll just leave since he's still asleep.

I quickly got dressed and walked out of the room after taking one last look at him. What a night. He doesn't even know my name, I like it that way though. I would just take a rest today, then maybe continue tomorrow.

Today's the weekend and I'm very sure Joyce would still be in bed. I'm also going to go get some sleep in my room too. I'll eat when I wake up, hopefully, Joyce gets up by then because I'm too lazy to do anything now.
