Chapter 5: What Do You Want From Me?

Alexis suddenly shouted in surprise. "Got it!" However, he frowned the next second and looked at Lendon worriedly.

"What is it?" Lendon stared at Alexis and asked.

Alexis hesitated, but Lendon stared at him, so he could only say, "There is nothing special with Miss Miller. In other words, she is not useful."

"What do you mean? You really found the wrong person?" Lendon was pissed off and questioned.

"Mr. Martin, please calm down. Let me talk to Miss Miller." Alexis said cautiously.

"Quickly!" Lendon shouted in anger.

Alexis walked to Kendra and took the towel away. "Miss Miller, do you remember where you were last full moon night?" He asked.

"I was dating someone," Kendra answered immediately. Then, she frowned and asked, "What do you want from me?"

"It's not your business. Where were you? Did you walk into this castle?" Lendon asked coldly.

"No, I had a date with my stepmother, but she didn't show up. I didn't remember this castle, and I am sure nothing happened that night." Kendra said determinedly. She didn't seem to be lying.

Kendra's answer made Lendon annoyed. He walked to Kendra and grabbed her chin, saying, "Don't think I will let you go so easily, woman. Don't lie to me. I don't trust you at all."

Kendra frowned. She wondered why Lendon could piss her off easily every time he came near.

"Then why do you bother asking me? Anyway, you won't believe me." Kendra glared at Lendon and said.

Hearing Kendra's words, Lendon was amused by her reaction. He retorted again, "You won't be honest if I treat you too kindly."

Lendon pulled strings in Kendra's body suddenly. Soon, Kendra felt pain and screamed.

Lendon grabbed Kendra's neck and lifted her from the chair.

"Mr. Martin, don't do that. She is just a girl." Alexis said immediately.

"You want to beg for her?" Lendon asked coldly.

Before Alexis said anything, Lendon took Kendra out of the lab directly. He opened the gate and threw Kendra out. Kendra fell down and seemed miserable.

"Curtis!" Lendon roared.

An old man suddenly appeared in front of Lendon, bowing his head, "My Lord,"

"Lock this woman into the icehouse. Without my permission, no one can give her any food until she tells the truth." Lendon said and bent over to pinch Kendra's face, "You should know that I can torture you through hundreds of ways until you confess. You'd better be honest now."

"I said no! I have never came here before! I never met you before, and I don't have anything to do with you. Any craziness you're up to has nothing to do with me!" Kendra shouted. She felt so desperate that she had no idea why she was caught and imprisoned here.

"Good!" Lendon stood up and sneered, "Put her in." He looked at Kendra as if she were a stray cat.

"Yes, my Lord." Curtis nodded. He looked at Kendra with sympathy and sighed.

On their way to the icehouse, Kendra asked, "If I die here, what will happen to Lendon?"

Curtis smiled and answered honestly, "Miss Miller, no matter what Mr. Martin does, he doesn't need to take responsibility. He is Lendon Martin. He is rich and powerful."

She went silent immediately and could only curse Lendon in her mind.

Kendra was eventually locked into an icehouse. Curtis's words kept repeating in her mind. How could such a psycho exist in the world? He should go to hell!

Kendra squatted in a corner and held herself. She tried her best to control her tears. The air became freezing suddenly, but Kendra remained stubborn. She didn't want to give in. Why did no one believe her words? Her dad didn't, neither did Lendon. She was not pregnant. She didn't come here before. What was wrong? Why did Lendon bring her here?

"Mr. Martin, it has been three hours. I don't think Miss Miller lied to us." Alexis stood in front of a monitor and said worriedly.

Lendon sat on a sofa and held a glass of wine. He narrowed his eyes and said casually, "Put more cold air in. I don't think she can hold on."

Curtis glanced at the monitor and saw Kendra squatting in a corner painfully. Her body must be cold now. "Sir, it's too cold. Miss Miller seems weak. I am afraid…" He said.

"What? Will she die? If I don't torture her, she won't tell me the truth." Lendon said coldly.

"But…"

Suddenly, Lendon threw his glass on the ground and interrupted Alexis. The atmosphere got nervous right away.

"I am sorry." Alexis lowered his head and apologized.

"Get out!" Lendon shouted.

Alexis and Curtis looked at each other and walked out.

It was Lendon alone. He stared at Kendra through the monitor and saw her pale face. She curled her body up and seemed so weak. Suddenly, Lendon saw some blood on Kendra's mouth. Did Kendra bite her lips to stay sober? Even if she was felt pain right now, she was not willing to admit that she saw him before? Well done!

"Curtis!" Lendon shouted.

"My Lord," Curtis came in hurriedly.

"Turn the temperature in the icehouse to the lowest possible level." Lendon stared at Kendra and said cruelly.

"My Lord, I…" Hesitation was written on Curtis's face.

"What? You don't want to do it?" Lendon interrupted Curtis and glared at him.

"No, My Lord." Curtis shook his head and said.

"Be quick!" Lendon said and kicked the tea table in front of him.

Curtis left right away.

"Let's see how much longer you can resist." Lendon stared at the monitor and laughed.

Kendra had been locked in the ice house for 5 hours. She wanted to open her eyes several times, but she failed. It was getting colder and colder. Her body lost feelings gradually, and she almost passed out. Somehow, painful childhood memories came flooding in.

"Daddy, you must do what you promised, or I won't forgive you!" Kendra held Robert's hands and said. She was a kid then.

Robert rubbed Kendra's face and said, "Good girl. Have fun with your mom. I can't go with you this time, but I will definitely go with you next time."

"Don't lie to me!" Kendra pouted and complained.

"I won't." Robert smiled and said. He kissed his wife and said, "Take care, honey."

"I will. Bye." Fatima held Kendra, and then they left.

The next moment, several people's voices scream loudly.

"A horrible accident! It's a car accident!"

"There is a kid in the car!"

"Is the woman still alive?"

"I think she died. What should the kid do? Poor girl."

Sobered and sobbing, Kendra kneeled before her mom and shook Fatima's body. She cried and shouted loudly, "Mom, wake up! Don't leave me! Don't leave me alone,"

"Mom," Kendra murmured unconsciously inside the icehouse, and suddenly tears were flooding her cheeks. She begged her mom not to leave her.
