Chapter 3

Elijah's POV

As the Alpha of the Green Creek Pack, the largest pack in the area, I have a duty and responsibility to monitor the nearby pack. As far as I can remember, the area has always been very peaceful, but for the last year, there has been something unusual about the neighboring White Birch Pack.

Those horrible rumors worried me a little. I must do more for the sake of my people.

Members of my pack have come here many times, but almost always with few findings. So this time I decided to come here myself to look for some clues.

I was supposed to go back in the afternoon, but then my wolf Mason objected. He told me that he would feel extremely agitated once he left the cave I was in at that time, so I had to stay there for a long time too.

"It's not that I'm holding you up on purpose. But leave here and I'll go crazy." He explained to me. "Once I feel relief, I'll let you know."

"Can you describe exactly what it feels like? Maybe I can help you find the answer." I didn't want to stay too long near the territory of the other wolf pack.

"I don't know. It's probably the guidance of the Moon Goddess, I think I'm just supposed to stay here." Mason whimpered in discontent. "If you were to leave, I'd really freak out. Going crazy in such close proximity to other pack is obviously worse than staying here."

I also agreed with this point. And I knew that the wolf's intuition is always the most accurate. So I can only sit quietly in this cave.

I didn't know how long it took, so long that even I felt a little sleepy, but I was suddenly awakened by a sound.

"Sasha..."

I opened my eyes.

There was someone outside the cave, and perhaps that was the cause of my wolf's mania.

I was about to get up and fight back when I unsuspectingly met eyes with the girl who had entered the cave.

Those amber eyes were like the best looking gems in the world.

I felt the heat steaming up and my heart fluttered with her movements. But then I noticed the wounds on her body. Her clothes were dirty and torn, and the wounds on her hands looked more like something had torn off a piece of flesh.

Who really hurt her like this?

I touched my chest. My heart was beating so violently that there was no way to calm down.

If I lived by her side, I would never let her suffer like this.

The strong mood swing made me realize that she must be my mate. I have to protect her and not let her get hurt any more.

"You..."

Before she could finish a full sentence, she shook her body and collapsed. I rushed over and brought her into the cave in a half hug.

The girl's arms wrapped around my neck. The next moment, she leaned over without warning and then took the initiative to kiss me.

I froze, but she was my mate, we were destined to be mates, and I took great pleasure in her closeness.

I kissed her back on the red soft lips, and the cave was very quiet, which made the sounds we made even more obvious.

I wasn't skilled in the matter of sex. But even so, the instinct to guard my mate drove me to avoid all wounds on her body as much as possible. I didn't want her to get hurt any more.

She, however, looked quite uncomfortable and took the initiative to take off her clothes and kept rubbing herself against me like a cute wolf cub.

I kissed her and slowly parted her legs, then squeezed into her pussy gently with my hot pen*s.

It was like the ocean inside, I was so immersed in her that there was no way to distract myself.

Her gorgeous face was covered with a blush, and I couldn't take my eyes off her, even in my wolf pack there were few more beautiful than her. But there were so many wounds on her body that I felt heartbroken. I shuddered to think how much pain she had gone through before coming here.

I stroked her delicate skin and kissed her neck, wanting to give her as pleasant an experience as possible.

She embraced me and made sexy gasping sounds that made me more and more excited.

I rammed hard, with my penis exploring her pussy to the deepest part.

"Slow down..." she seemed unable to withstand my strength and let out a small plea.

"As you wish, my dear." I sucked on her rosy lips in a slow rhythm.

Finally, I came inside her and she passed out.

"Thank Moon Goddess, for sending you to me." I thought to myself, dropped a kiss on her forehead and helped her fix the broken hair in front of her forehead again.

Isabella's POV

I was actually awake for a bit before I lost consciousness completely. But strangely enough, I didn't resist him and even felt much better.

I locked eyes with him and I felt like my mind exploded with fireworks. At that moment I was sure that he was the mate for me.

No matter what, I could always count on him with confidence.

His taut muscles were described as hard, but I didn't feel uncomfortable when I leaned on them. I felt like a cat that warmed itself by fire, and those flames only made me more comfortable.

By the time I woke up again, the sun had risen. All my wounds were well dressed, but my mate was not there and I didn't know where he had gone.

I felt a chill and shrunk myself into a worried ball.

Did he just run away?

"I've brought you food, don't be afraid. No one is going to hurt you." But soon, he came in from outside the cave. I looked at the rabbit he was holding and nodded slowly.

Although I knew for sure he would not leave me behind, instinct drove me to feel uneasy when he disappeared.

This was something that scared me.

He seemed to notice my uneasiness, "Don't worry, I will never leave you behind. You are my mate, the one I will guard with my life."

His words of comfort were very flattering to me. I nodded and sat quietly in the corner watching him build a fire to roast the rabbit. The cave was quiet again, and the only sound left was the crackling of the fire.

After so much physical exertion, I was more than happy to eat the meal. I didn't push back and took the rabbit he handed me.

"There's something I'd like you to tell me."

I was almost full when he asked me the quesiton in a small voice.

"Which wolf pack are you from and what is your title?"

Sure enough, what should happen actually came around.

"Don't send me back, please..." I broke down and covered my face, almost crying out. I didn't want to go back to that kind of life, I didn't want to be a breeder again. If I was sent back, I might as well die!

He looked a little flustered, but still came over gently and dropped a kiss on my forehead.

"Don't think too much about it. I just wanted to pay a visit to your parents. And of course, I want to let your pack know that you will be the Luna of Green Creek Pack." He wrapped his arms gently around me.

My eyes widened in surprise, "Who are you?"

"I'm Alpha Elijah of the Green Creek Pack. I think you've heard of my wolf pack, it's right over there." He raised his hand and pointed me in a direction.

Of course I knew about Green Creek Pack, the most powerful wolf pack in the area. But why would he come to the border of the White Birch Pack? It's very confusing.

I felt amazed, but my warrior instincts told me that he was very powerful. He was far above me and could certainly provide me with shelter. I didn't need to worry about anything.

While thinking about this, my frantically beating heart gradually returned to its normal frequency. I felt much calmer, like a small raft drifting on the sea finally approaching the shore.

"Don't tell him all about you. You're now a traitor to the White Birch Pack, and that status is likely to put him in danger." Mia warned in my mind. "After all, both are extremely powerful packs, and no one wants these two packs to fight."

"Yeah, I know that too, and I'm likely to get him involved." I agreed.

"It's not just that. You have just become mate and don't know each other at all. I'm more worried that he'll betray you. That could be something that could cost you your life for you." Her voice sounded even more agitated than just now.

This was something I did not agree with very much. After all, in this case, I had no chance but him. He was my only hope.

"Take me away. I am a lonely wolf, I have no parents or pack. All I have is you." I sighed, making myself look as pathetic and determined as possible.

Elijah's POV

"Okay, I'll take you!" When I heard her say that, I didn't do any thinking and agreed to do it in a hurry.

"Trust me, I will protect you."

Because I knew that this was what I should do as her mate.

"Actually, you weren't even planning on visiting, were you thinking of going to get into a fight with them? After all, they treated your mate so badly." Mason taunted in my head. "That's not the way for an Alpha to respond."

I knew I couldn't hide anything from him, so I just had to respond perfunctorily in my head.

"It's hard to imagine what kind of pack could have hurt her like that. I think they should pay a small price for that."

"You make a good point, but since she's determined not to talk about it, there's no way to ask anymore." Mason sighed. "What's more important right now is that she needs to be healed. Those wounds don't wait for anyone."

One of her wounds had begun to ooze blood.

"Come up here, I'll carry you on my back." I turned around and half-kneeled in front of her. "Let's go back to Green Creek Pack."

She answered and plopped up decisively.

The road in the forest was very bad, and with her current injuries I could only slowly carry her away in human form. She was a little embarrassed, but she gave up protesting at my insistence.

The sun came up a little more so that the temperature in the jungle was not so unbearable. I walked forward one step at a time, minimizing the bumps as much as possible.

The sun shone through the lush trees on both of us, and for the first time I felt so warm.

But it occurred to me that I didn't seem to have asked her name.

"May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?" I inclined my head to look at her.

"My name is Isabella," she answered me quickly.

Even with her head down, I could see the blush on her face.

"Yes, my dear mate. I'll keep that name in mind." I didn't even think myself that my voice could be as gentle as this.
