Chapter 5

Isabella's POV

Elijah obviously knew about it.

Because when he came back this evening, he sent me a beautiful bouquet of roses.

His deep eyes were full of laughter, happy because I was accepted by the pack.

I looked seriously at the rose in my hand. When I was in White Birch Pack, I didn't have the chance to see roses, only roadside wildflowers.

I looked down and smelled the flowers, and the enchanting scent completely captured my attention.

Just then, warm breath came to my ears.

It's Elijah.

He was so close to me that I felt my sweat hairs stand up because of his action.

Like a mechanical spring, I jerked back and flashed to the other side.

Elijah raised an eyebrow, a teasing look on his handsome face, "Darling, you are simply the most beautiful spring I have ever seen."

I was amused by him and relaxed.

This was Elijah, my mate, not the one who was going to violate me, I should take it easy.

"You didn't think I was going to do anything, did you?" He teased me with an exaggerated tone, "Don't think too much."

He acted well, and I didn't want to lose to him.

So I took the initiative and walked up to him, wrapped my arms around his neck and responded to him in the softest tone I could muster, "Yeah, I'm the one who wants to do something to you."

Elijah was a little surprised, but quickly cooperated by hitching his arm around my waist, "My pleasure."

I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his sexy lips, which were perfectly shaped for kissing.

Elijah responded gently, and we both sank into the kiss, his hand gently stroking my back as if he were soothing a young wolf cub.

I, who was still a little nervous, slowly calmed down under Elijah's movements.

I leaned against him and just felt like he was a furnace. And I was sent into it, sizzling repeatedly.

He pressed me against the wall and kissed my neck.

"May I, Isabella?"

I could see that his desire was strong, but he still chose to respect my wishes.

The feeling of being valued made my eyes moisten and I kissed him, "Of course you can, Elijah."

Elijah pulled down my pants and caressed my inner thighs with his hands, lighting a fire inside me.

His strong arms picked me up, parted my thighs, and penis slowly entered my wet pussy.

I embraced him and felt his toned back muscles.

With his rhythmic movements, I was taken into a sea of desire.

Elijah's sexy gasp rang in my ears, "Baby, you're awesome."

This time the sex was even more pleasurable than the first time, and we tossed and turned in every corner of this room. Until I felt my limbs were sore and weak and I could no longer use my strength.

I collapsed wearily onto the soft bed, and the next thing I knew, I felt my whole body vacate.

I subconsciously grabbed Elijah's shoulders.

"Let's go take a shower." He looked at me with a serious expression as if to say, "Did you get hurt in the fight just now? Let me take you to the doctor."

I felt my face burning hot and buried my face in his chest, feeling like I was living like a cooked shrimp.

It was so embarrassing to match his words with his decent face that seemed like he was really trying to help me with his heart!

We messed around in the bathroom some more before returning to bed and going to sleep together.

"Good night, my mate."

Elijah kissed my forehead and said tenderly.

The night passed, and by the next day, I found I had my own job. Just like everyone else who lives here.

But they didn't take special care of me, they just treated me as the "Luna" character.

This was something that made me very happy, even sometimes I almost thought I was born here.

But when I fell asleep, White Birch Pack's past still occasionally appeared in my dreams. The men chased me as vicious wolves, drove me to the edge of a cliff, and then I fell straight down like that. Sometimes I would die, and sometimes I would be dragged back down alive by them on the ground.

I would just wake up from a dream and burrow back into Elijah's arms. He was the only one who could put me at ease.

In fact, I did fear the White Birch Pack, and I worried that those people would come here to find me and take me away for some strange reason. I hated them, and I didn't want to go back to that hellish life.

These nightmares made me haggard. I couldn't hide this from Elijah, let alone from Joanna.

So when she asked me again, I told her about my concerns. Only some information about White Birch Pack was hidden, which I specially didn't mention.

"I really don't know, how much you suffered before..." Joanna looked at the wound on my arm and carefully applied the ointment for me.

"As a 'breeder', I'm doing pretty well with this ending." I laughed to myself.

"What's that?" Joanna clearly didn't quite understand. "I've never heard of it."

I was a little confused, didn't the other wolves have breeders?

"My wolf pack chooses a female to become a breeder every five years to produce non-stop offspring for the pack's top warriors. But as far as I know...Breeders hardly live past five years." I weighed my words.

"Whoa!" The empty tray in Joanna's hand fell to the floor and her eyes widened.

"Oh my God, how can there be such a ridiculous thing? The pack need to reproduce, but every child should be the fruit of love. What the breeders are doing is crazy. The Alpha of your wolf pack must be a madman." Joanna's voice almost trembled a little.

I did agree that the Alpha of the White Birch Pack was indeed a madman.

However, I was keenly aware of Joanna's point that this wolf pack did not seem to have a breeder presence.

I asked, "Joanna, don't you have any breeders here?"

"We don't have breeders here, all the packs don't have breeders." She shook her head and lovingly touched my cheek again.

Her words struck me like thunder, so only White Birch Pack existed breeders!

Thinking about what Liam usually said before, I just felt a shiver run down my spine. Was this rule set up to satisfy his own desires?

This breeder system had ruined countless White Birch Pack women, no, I must go back and expose Liam's lies!

"I know you're angry, but if you go back, you'll have a hard time getting out in one piece safely." Mia's voice sounded inside my head. "Besides, the people at White Birch Pack certainly won't believe you."

I thought about all the education I had received earlier and the adoring looks on my peers' faces when they mentioned Liam.

In their minds, Liam was a faith-like existence that was hard to shake.

"This place is very different from the wolves you used to have." Joanna seemed to see my abnormality, and she held my hand tightly.

"Don't worry, Joanna. I'll get on with my life." I smiled at her.

I had really learned a lot here.

But more important than that, I'd learned to express my own opinions. And they really weren't as defensive of me as they were at the beginning.

It felt good to be accepted and I love it here.

Elijah's POV

My Beta Oliver had been lurking in the White Birch Pack, and he recently sent me a letter after a long absence.

The general idea was that that wolf had escaped a vulnerable little wretch. He wanted me to offer my help.

"She could have been killed by the beast at any time and was really very vulnerable. Those people tortured her so badly that she's afraid she even broke a few ribs."

The White Birch Pack men simply treat women as toys to be disposed of at will, a perception that was outrageous.

But what made me pay more attention was, could that little poor thing be Isabella?

Because the time she left her own wolf pack matched exactly what he said, and she was really soft and weak. The first time I saw her, she was very badly injured and didn't look at all like she could survive in the jungle on her own.

Yet she had her own beliefs and was not exactly a fragile person.

I subconsciously looked at the window in my hand. I was reflected in it with a smile on my face. Even I didn't notice that I would be so happy when I mentioned her.

"She has just been chosen to be the White Birch Pack's breeder. If she is taken back, she will keep giving birth to the warriors in the pack until she is consumed to death. So no matter what she must not be allowed to be taken back again." He wrote very hard.

If she really was the breeder, I'd make sure White Birch Pack pays for this decision of theirs.

But these I should go to Isabella to confirm. So I immediately got up and got ready to go to her.

Instead, the door to my room was suddenly slammed open. A child panicked and grabbed my arm.

"It's not good, go check it out, Isabella, she's being challenged!" The kid tugged me and was heading out the door.

"By whom?" I had a bad feeling in my heart.

The child gave a name towards me, it was Maria.

Maria was a powerful female warrior of the pack, and there were always rumors in the pack that she would be my Luna. She looked at me differently, but we both knew in our hearts that I didn't feel anything for her.

In other words, we were not a couple.

But how could my mate beat her?

"Take me there, quick!"

I ran after the kid.

By the time I ran to the training ground, Isabella and Maria were circled in the middle and were wrestling.

Surrounded by spectators, Isabella sharply dodged her punch and hammered her opponent to her knees with a standard elbow strike.

"Great, not bad for our Luna!"

I couldn't believe my ears as I listened to the cheers.

My God, not only was my mate not weak, but she was far more powerful than the female warriors of our wolf pack!

Was that really her? She was no longer the frail and poor girl I remembered; she stood on the training field looking as warm as a rose.

I couldn't believe it and looked over.

Isabella's POV

"You're not qualified to be his Luna."

I was just about to go to Elijah's office to find him when I was stopped at the door by a woman dressed as a warrior.

Her eyes were full of hostility, as if I was an enemy to her.

I probably knew who she was.

Maria, one of the most powerful female warriors of the wolf pack.

Joanna had introduced her to me and said that Maria had always thought she would be the Luna of the wolves. But before I came to this Pack she had been practicing in the mountains not far away, so I had never seen her.

When she came back, she'd be looking for me for sure.

I had always remembered this matter. So when I really met her, I did not feel any discomfort, but rather a kind of pleasure of "finally ended a thing" .

There was a group of people standing behind Maria, and I thought they were there to see the fun, but they had worry in their eyes.

"Don't promise her. She is the strongest female warrior we have here, stronger than many male warriors!"

"Yeah, you're not well, you're definitely no match for her!"

Joanna also came out and said worriedly, "Don't promise her, Isabella. you can't beat her, you don't stand a chance!"

While I was truly moved, I knew I had to meet the challenge.

"I can't believe you're so weak in their eyes?" Mia giggled in my head, "But they really haven't seen you do it either."

All right, this might be a chance to prove my power to them.

"I accept your challenge, so where are we going to fight?" I smiled at Maria.

"Training ground, let's go." She turned and walked out the door.

Soon, a group of us walked to the training ground.

There were many traces of struggle on the ground, so I can see that this place was often used for dueling before.

I didn't intend to waste time and said, "Let's get started."

Maria's speed was so fast that she rushed to my face almost instantly.

Her arms were jammed tightly around my neck, which made it almost impossible to breathe. I rushed back and disliked her hard in the stomach.

"Uh..." Her expression suddenly became pained.

I took advantage of her slight slackening and beat her hard with my elbow towards her chest.

Then I took advantage of the fact that she couldn't maintain her balance and pressed down hard on her back to make sure she couldn't get up.

"Elijah's Luna is me, and only me." I pressed hard against her back, making sure she couldn't get up at all.

My blood boiled up because of this battle, and I even wanted to turn into a wolf and howl to celebrate my victory.

But at that moment, I suddenly felt a sight.

I looked up just in time to meet Elijah's gaze.
