Chapter 2
Extracting her from her wild thought was the loud buzz her phone gave, she opened her eyes and stretched her hand to her phone.
It was a message from an unknown person.
She took the hair that blocked her face to the back of her head and clicked on the message.
'Goodnight darling." she read
Alexia hissed and dropped her phone.
It was an unknown number from her secret admirer.
Alexia closed her laptop and went to sleep on the bed. She closed her eyes and imagine Henry being with her, it was the only thing she could do after a long night.
Next Morning;
Fiona ran into Alexia's room, she knocked wildly on the door and rushed in. Alexia raised her head, she saw Fiona in front of her.
'What do you want?!" she snapped.
'Madam, a woman is here. She is yelling very much, and it seemed like she is angry." Fiona panicked, her head was bowed to the floor.
'Angry? Why?"
Alexia was confused. She got off her bed and wore her room slippers, she followed Fiona as she walked down the stairs.
Alexia reached the living room and saw the woman Fiona had talked about. It was Kylie, Kylie Morris. She looked wasted, Kylie wore a glimmering golden dress with silver heels.
Alexia sighed and walked down the stairs.
Kylie was Alexia's friend in college, best friend. Alexia didn't know that her best friend would turn out to be her worst enemy who inexplicably hurt her.
'What do you want?" Alexia was angry that Kylie had the nerve to come into her house and create a scene.
'I came here to talk about some things you have no idea of," Kylie spoke arrogantly, with pride. How could such an evil woman have pride in front of Alexia? Even after everything she had done.
'What?" Alexia asked, interested but with a neutral face.
'Oh wait! You are not my business and I certainly don't care if you get hurt!"
Kylie said and rolled her pinkish eyes.
Alexia rolled her eyes again with a little laughter, irritatedly.
She should have known Kylie Morris was such a bitch. A bitch with no job that does nothing but waste other people's time.
'So you came here to tell me you don't care about me? Wow! It means a lot that you still think about me day and night." She smiled and raised her head gloriously, which made Kylie outraged.
'Now I won't ever tell you and when you find out, I will be there to mock the hell out of you. VIP tickets for me," she said, rolled her eyes, and walked out.
Alexia sighed. Her glorious face turned curious.
She wondered what Kylie knew but wouldn't tell her.
'I hate that woman so much, and I just want to crunch her between my hands!" she uttered in an outwitted manner.
Alexia entered her room and got dressed for the day. She tried Henry's number again, but he wouldn't pick up her calls, she was distressed especially because he didn't say anything to her before he left
She got dressed in a green top and blue jeans with heels. Likewise, she wore an overall nude jacket that flattered her caramel complexion. She wore some jewelry and walked out with a nude bag.
She had just reached her car when a delivery man arrived. He was followed by Fiona, and he held a big box filled with chocolate bars and flowers.
Chocolate was Alexia's favorite snack.
'Is that for me?" Alexia asked, pointing at herself.
'Yes, madam,"
Fiona replied.
'Give me the note." She stretched her hand and received the note. It was a cute flowery note which was written again by her secret admirer.
Alexia sighed angrily and squeezed the note in her hand.
'Fiona, throw that out!" she barked
Fiona sighed sadly. The gifts were too good to be thrown out, but anyone has to obey Alexia's order. She was the perfect definition of a boss.
Alexia entered her car and drove out.
She was supposed to meet Clarissa for breakfast at their other friend's cafe, Rayden's breakfast café.
As Alexia drove, she noticed her phone was ringing. She gently placed her phone on her lap and connected it with the speaker.
'Yes, dad?" she said.
'I have to see you, Alexia, I have some things to tell you," he said.
Alexia smiled excitedly.
She didn't think her father would ever call her not to talk or say he wants to see her. Since the death of her mother and all the properties have been transferred to her name, her father had been distinct, and he hardly picked up her calls.
Her father wasn't too poor, but his wealth was nothing compared to the wealth Alexia's mother left her.
'Dad, I will be at your house soon. I love you so much, dad," Alexia said. Then ended the call.
Previously, her mood was ruined but the call from her father lightened her mood.
Alexia soon arrived at the breakfast café.
She walked in. She saw Clarissa and Rayden at a table so she walked to them.
Rayden was in her early 20s, the same age range as Clarissa and Alexia.
They just finished college and each of them is trying to fix their lives. Although, Alexia was the lucky one amongst them because her mother had left her so much wealth. However, that didn't stop her from working very hard. In fact, she walked harder than the both of them.
'Heyyyy!" Clarissa was the first to notice Alexia, she watched as the rich twenty-three years old lady walked towards them. She was so pretty that the duo envied her a lot, but she was their best friend and they love her in return.
' I love your bag!" Clarissa was such a fashionista.
Alexia prayed in her heart that Clarissa wouldn't reveal the real price of her bag, since she was always updated.
'Rayden, how are you now?" Alexia went ahead to ask about the beautiful girl with blonde hair. Rayden had just lost her mother, Alexia knows exactly what that felt like.
'Fine. Unlike you, my mom didn't leave me with anything, but I am fine," Rayden whined, teasingly.
Alexia felt bad.
'But I love her very much," Rayden added, trying so hard to not cry.
'We came here to eat breakfast, please don't make me cry, Alexia!" she tried to lighten up the mood with her beautiful smile which worked very well.
After the sumptuous breakfast, Alexia and Clarissa felt very full and each meal was very delicious. It was all prepared by Rayden, she had no assistant yet.
' This is really delicious. Wait, Rayden, will you like to be a business partner of mine? I can introduce you to my business partners, and they can have a sumptuous breakfast as well as a conducive place to talk about business." Alexia's face lit up as she said the words. Also, she took in the surroundings and it was a good and convenient place to talk about business.
Rayden smiled and nodded her head.
The trio had more discussion before Alexia stood up. She had to visit her father as he had requested.
'I wonder what he wants to tell me," Alexia said.
'You will be fine," Clarissa squeezed her hand with a reassuring smile.
With this, she walked out.
A man walked in as she did, but she didn't mind the man at all.
Alexia entered her car, she directed her car to her father's mansion. When she reached the mansion, the gatekeeper opened the gate and greeted her well.
'How are you?" she asked, paused her car, and waited for his reply.
He answered well. With this, she drove in fully.
Alexia sighed and said a silent prayer before she got out of her car.
She walked into the house, and as soon as she reached it, she heard a burst of familiar laughter.
'Don't tell me." She squeezed her face as she got the voice registered in her head.
She walked in fully and looked at her dad in the dining room, he was beside someone.
'Oh my goodness."
Anger leveled in her eyes seeing who sat beside her father holding hands with him.
