I slowly opened my eyes as I woke up to a throbbing headache. I looked around and saw that I was lying on my bed in my room.

I placed my palm on my aching forehead and gritted my teeth. I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was evening already.

My face still hurt from the coffee looked at myself to see that was my coffee stained cloth was already changed.

My stomach was aching and rumbling as I was terribly hungry. I saw the door open and my Alyssa walked into the room with a tray in hand.

I signed internally in frustration. I didn't have the strength to stand her trouble.

I looked at the tray in her hand wondering what devious plan she has brewed up this time. I felt the sweet fragrance of food hit my nose and I felt the hunger I was feeling double.

Was that food in her hand.

"You fainted and I'm was so scared that something bad might happen to you," Alyssa said with a sorry and nice expression, dropping the tray on the bed before me.

I looked at the plate of food on the tray. It was a well made rich plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I haven't had something like this in a long time.

I looked up at Alyssa, wondering why she was being so nice.

"Oh. Come on. I'm your sister and I don't want you to die, plus it's your birthday," Alyssa said in a soft concerned voice that surprised.

I hesitantly picked up the fork on the tray and brought up some spaghetti. The food smelt so good and my stomach was aching for it already.

I looked at Alyssa who was smiling one last time before putting the spaghetti in my mouth.

Immediately, I spat the spaghetti out of my mouth, coughing violently.

Alyssa began to laugh wickedly and her tiny voice filled the whole room.

Wolfsbane.

I continued coughing as the wolfsbane burnt my mouth and my throat.

I picked up the cup of water on the tray and gulped it down so it would ease the pain, but I spat it out immediately as it burnt my throat even more. She also put Wolfsbane in the water.

"You Witch!" Alyssa screamed and I looked at her to see that I had spat water on her dress.

"How dare you ruin my dress after the birthday present I gave you?!" She hollered and suddenly grabbed the plate of food.

Before I could react, she threw the food in my face and poured the water on my body. I screamed in pain as the Wolfsbane in the food and water burnt my face and my skin.

"Such a bitch?" Alyssa sneered before walking out of the room.

"Nadia! Nadia!" I heard Alyssa's voice echo everywhere as she walked away.

I burst into tears immediately and I looked at my red skin.

I stood up from the bed and saw that it was also wet and covered with spaghetti.

Tears fell from my eyes and trickled down my face. They've always ruined all of my birthdays, making each one worse than the former.

I looked up as Nadia walked into the room. She looked surprised to see the mess in the room, but she also looked sorry for me.

She was the only maid in the house who treated me well, but she didn't dare show it when my father or Alyssa was around.

She walked into the room and looked at the messy situation was in before looking back at me.

"There are some leftovers in the lower cupboard at the left corner of the kitchen," Nadia said and I nodded.

I walked past her so I could get the food, but she stopped me.

"You need to change your dress and gather your strength. There is a general pack fighting contest taking place this evening and your father signed you up," She stated in what almost sounded as a whisper. She didn't want to risk anyone hearing her especially with everyone one having enhanced wolf hearing.

I nodded and walked out of the room. I walked cautiously through the house, trying my best to avoid anywhere my dad or Alyssa could be.

My cloth was a mess, but I was hungry and I needed something to eat. I walked into the kitchen and the maids in the kitchen all looked at me disdainfully.

I looked at the cupboard Nadia was talking about and was heading towards it when a maid intentionally bumped into me and push me aside.

In my weak state, I lost balance and nearly fell, but I grabbed the smooth kitchen counter to maintain balance.

Just as I thought I was balanced already, a maid who was chopping vegetables, brought down the knife in my direction.

I quickly took my hand away and I groaned as I ended up loosing balance and falling to the floor on my butt.

They all burst into laughter immediately and Marissa kicked my leg aside as she walked past me.

I felt my ego crushed as always and I stood up on my feet with the little energy in me. I walked to the cupboard and opened it, pulling out the plate of leftover spaghetti and half eaten meatballs.

I stayed where I was and I took a fork among the dishes. I dig the fork into the food and quickly began to eat the food like my life depended on it.

Actually, my life depended on it.

I finally put the last piece of the food in my mouth and I dropped the plate in the sink.

"Natasha!" I heard my father's voice boom through the building and I felt my heart skip.

"Natasha!" He shouted again and this time, he sounded like he was close by and on his way here.

My heart skipped as he appeared in the doorway of the kitchen with his eyes full of anger and glaring daggers at me.

What have I done again?
