GOING TO EARTH

"Your honor, we really need your assistance to get rid of the human," the demon continued, waiting for Lucifer’s response.

Lucinda started walking heavily towards them with her hair sweeping the floor. They couldn’t help but look at her. She swayed her hips and climbed the high ground with her gaze fixed on Lucifer. She sat on the edge of the armrest of his throne. He jerked his head to look at her.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, and she smiled.

"It's my duty as your wife to help you whenever you need me." She beamed and he narrowed his eyes at her.

"Can you tell your highness to help us out?" the demon asked bluntly, referring to Lucinda.

"You don’t need to ask for her opinion; this has nothing to do with her." Lucifer said in a rumbling tone. Lucinda frowned, pouting her lips.

"How can you say that? I am your queen, aren’t I?" She inquired and poked him playfully on the chest before turning to look at the demon.

"Help you with what I would like to help." Lucinda beamed, smiling from ear to ear.

"Your highness, there is this human that has magical powers, and he is killing our demon brothers on earth." The demon said, bowing slightly.

"Really, can I go?" she asked Lucifer, and he nodded negatively.

"You can't go, you are not ready for this." He stated.

"I am ready. I have magical powers; I can defend myself on earth. I really need to go." she insisted, tugging at his robe.

"Stop acting childish. What makes you think you can do it when the other demons couldn't kill him?" He asked with his eyes wide open. She looked at him with a determined expression.

"Because... I am your wife," she replied confidently.

"You may go; I will get back to you," Lucifer said, dismissing the demon.

"Let me go, let me go pleasssse." Lucinda said, dragging the word with her teeth bared. She clutched his hand with her right arm, holding tightly to it with her face close to his. He could feel her breath on his face.

"Sheesh, if you say so, I will consider it because you have given me extreme pleasure this morning. I will grant your wish," he said.

"Really?" she asked with a grin.

"But under one condition." He said, and her smile faded.

"What is the condition, my dear husband?" She asked with a straight face, waiting in anticipation of what he had to say.

"You may go to earth to take care of the human, but you only have four years to live on earth.

so, after you manage to kill him, come back to me." Lucifer stated, making a hand gesture.

"Four years is too much. When I finish killing him, I will come back right away." she stated confidently.

"The person we are talking about here is not a mere human and he will be hard to defeat. That's why I suggested you live on earth for four years." He declared.

"Oh! But…" she paused with her mouth slightly open.

"But before you go, you will have to take that oath, I talked about a few days ago if you want to go." He said. She scrunched her face in astonishment as unease ran down her spine.

"But that's not fair! She stated, with pouted lips.

"In this life, I don't trust anyone, not even you, so are you going? He asked, grinning.

"I will go think about it. I will give you feedback tomorrow." She said and got up from the throne, walking away as her hair followed her, sweeping the ground.

"I hope she doesn't accept the offer. If she does, it's a good thing in a way because she will

have to go and live among people and see the world from another perspective. But I am

scared she will leave me for a human one day. That's why I want her to take the oath. I won't hesitate to kill her if she breaks the oath. I don't care if I love her or not." Lucifer thought.

Lucinda ran into Medusa's room and closed the door quickly. Medusa was startled. She was taking a nap on her bed before Lucinda barged in, and she had a worried look on her face.

"Is something wrong?" Medusa asked bluntly.

"No, but I need your advice. I was talking to my husband just now and he said that I could go to earth for four years, but I must take an oath." she stated

"What's the oath about?" Medusa asked.

"About me promising not to fall in love with a human while being on earth to complete a mission, and if I don't keep my promise, he will kill me." She said. Medusa gasped with her eyes wide open.

"T-That's cruel. I don't think you should go. It's deadly and we can't guarantee you won't fall in love with a human because of the love you already have for humans." Medusa advised.

"I know, but I am already in love with my husband, and I know, as a matter of fact, that I won't fall in love with a human." Lucinda assured walking closer to the bed with her hands folded in front of her, Medusa grasped her hands giving it a friendly squeeze with her eyes fixed on her.

"I love you and I know you too well to tell you not to go..." Medusa said, "Please." Medusa said, battling her lashes, giving Lucinda an intense look, but Lucinda had already made up her mind. She drew her hand out of Medusa’s grip.

"I have already made up my mind. I am going," Lucinda said, and turned her back on Medusa. "I know I asked for your advice, but I can’t listen to you this time. I am sorry." Lucinda said, with her brow creased.

"Please don't go. You have a death wish by insisting on going. Please think it through." Medusa pleaded.

"There is nothing to think about here. I love the earth and I would like to go. I won't blow it. It's my only opportunity to go to the earth." Lucinda said, walking out of Medusa's room.

"Lucinda! Please don't go! At least listen to me." Medusa said it softly, but it fell on deaf ears.

Lucinda was in her room, sitting on a small chair in front of her crystal mirror. She rested her hand on her makeup desk, gazing at her beautiful face. She touched her hair.
