CHAPTER 4

Star Gazer Venus's projection suddenly disappeared before Charlotte could speak. She came out of the cave and saw Alexander approaching with a basket in his hand. Charlotte was excited to meet Alexander and intercepts him.

"Where did you go, Alexander?"

Alexander gave the basket to Charlotte. "These are breads I bought, eat them so you can have strength for our quest!"

Charlotte felt that the bread was still warm and the aroma was very delicious.

Its weight as it slammed on the river splashed them with water.

"That monster is so damn terrifying!" Charlotte said as she saw a jaw-dropping creature.

"Yes, that monster has been in this place for almost two weeks and everyone who tried to kill it was swallowed alive. As I said, its name is Hydra and we have no idea where it came from!"

Alexander drew his celestial sword to prepare himself. Charlotte also unsheathed her katana and it was obvious that she was not used to handling it.

"Just use your magic to control your katana from this distance, it's too dangerous if you approach that sea monster!"

Charlotte immediately took out her magic wand to control her katana. Alexander put his two finger to his lips and whistled. The sea monster popped out again and opened its mouth to devour them. Alexander grabbed Charlotte by the waist and quickly ran away. The fish jumped into the sea.

"How are we going to defeat that colossal monster?" Charlotte wondered. "Our weapons are no match for its razor-sharp teeth, and we only have a few seconds to strike that monster while it's in the air!"

"I have a splendid idea, what I want you to do is to target its eyes so it can't see us, then I will attack it!"

Alexander ran and whistled. When Charlotte saw the sea monster, she immediately used her magic to control her katana sword but missed to hit its eyes. Alexander jumped up and quickly sliced the sea monster's body and its green blood splattered in his face.

"Amazing, Alexander's weapon is strong!" Charlotte said in amazement. "Maybe I should try to move that monster in the land so I can easily hit it with my Katana!"

Charlotte managed to lift the sea monster and put it on the ground. She stabbed its eyes with her katana sword and gazed at Alexander seriously. "Hurry up and kill it, I can only use my magic for a short span of time!"

He put his arm around Charlotte's shoulder and they went to the front of the guildhall where a quest master in armor was standing. She frowned in jealousy upon seeing Alexander with another warrioress.

Alexander smiled at Isabella. "Hi Quest master, Isabella, we are done with the mission to kill the sea monster! By the way," Alexander looked at Charlotte and introduced her excitedly. "This beautiful warrioress' name is Charlotte, and she is my new friend!"

Charlotte bowed to Isabella. "Nice to meet you, Quest master Isabella, I like this guild hall of yours!"

Isabella fixed her gaze at Alexander. "You are the only one who will receive the reward because you are the only one assigned to kill the sea monster regardless if you were accompanied with some lousy warrioress!"

Alexander raised his voice at Isabella because she hurled insults at Charlotte. "Charlotte helped me a lot, I will not allow you to disrespect her, not in my face!"

Charlotte turned to Alexander. "Isabella is right, I have no right to share your reward. Let's respect your laws!"

Alexander fixed his eyes at Isabella. "Alright, I will take my reward and give some to Charlotte. But in the next quest, she'll be my companion!"

A warrior walked over and kneeled down to Charlotte. "I am willing to accompany you on the quest if you wish!"

There were many warriors who also kneeled down to Charlotte, as they also wanted her to join them on the quest.
