The Weird Condition

Daniela and Mark have arrived at a cabin in the middle of the forest and are looking around to find Daniela. They are sure that she got there first. The silence of the forest is eerie, and they often feel as if they are being watched. It is hard to tell how much time has passed since they arrived.

The door of the cabin is unlocked, and Mark and Lavelle walk in without hesitation, just as they suspect, and they climb up to the second floor of the cabin. A voice startled them. That's Daniela, who stared at Lavelle and Mark furiously. Daniela's eyes were red and teary. She must be upset about something.

Lavelle walked over to Daniela and asked her, “What’s going on?”

Daniela shrugged and averted her eyes from Lavelle. She didn’t want to talk about anything right now. She just wanted Lavelle to explain it to her. When Lavelle sneaks out of the hospital when she must get better treatment. Daniela doesn't want to be a toxic sidekick for her. But sometimes she acts like a kid who doesn’t want to hear any advice from others.

“Girls don't make a commotion right now. I'm trying to get some sleep. I have been walking as long as hell. And Lavelle is so bonny and that's why I'm so exhausted." Mark complained while walking over to the couch in the centre of the room.

"I don't know what happens to your head. You know it better than other people, you know that Lavelle must get better treatment from the paramedics. Then, why are you helping her to sneak out of the hospital?" Daniela asked Mark angrily.

"The matter is about me?" Lavelle spoke out.

"Sure! You're the one who must get better treatment from the paramedics. What the hell is wrong with you? What are you thinking about? Do you think you're better right now?" Daniela scoffs.

Mark sighed and said, “I don’t think we have to argue about it. Lavelle forcing me to help her, I don't know I just can't hold myself back. She's in trouble, Danie."

Daniela took a deep breath and said nothing, she looked at Lavelle with a stern face. She was disappointed that Mark was helping her. She knows Lavelle through a terrible problem. But Lavelle must get better treatment of expert’s doctor because she has through a mental illness. She’s not okay, she can’t control her emotion till she does self-harm. Sneaking out of the hospital isn’t a good decision, and she thought she never gets a problem when she stays in the cabin.

“Then, what’s your plan?” Daniela asked Lavelle.

Lavelle sighed, then she averted her eyes to other objects in the room. Lavelle said nothing to Daniela, she fell silent. Lavelle doesn’t want to argue with Daniela for now. Lavelle wants a peaceful place to reduce her fatigue.

Mark’s stomach growled because he was hungry. “Oh, girls. Why are you guys so freaky? It will be better if we get some snacks or breakfast. I haven’t gotten my breakfast anyway.”

Daniela rolled her eyes. “You can get breakfast by yourself, Mark. You're not a baby anymore."

“Oh, please ... I’m so exhausted. I feel my leg is switching to jelly.” Marks growled like a baby.

Lavelle sighed, then she walked over to the kitchen opposite the center room. Lavelle said nothing but she opened the refrigerator and took out a few slices of bagel. The fucking hard bagel bread, she forgot when she bought it and burry it in the fridge. But she has no other menus here, she doesn’t have any groceries as well—just a few slices of bagel bread and a carton of milk.

Lavelle took it and approached Mark in the centre of the room. Lavelle put it on the table and said that she hadn't any other menus.

“Bagel? Is it worth eating? When did you buy it?” Mark raised his brow.

Lavelle shrug. “I don’t know. Just chew it, we have no other choice.”

Daniela smirked and scoffed, “Even though you hadn’t a grocery here. Then what should you do when you get hungry? Did you reach the restaurant and tell them to deliver a piece of delicious bacon? What the fuck are you thinking about?”

“It’s a good idea,” Lavelle responded.

Daniela looked at Lavelle in an angry manner. “Please be realistic, you can’t live in the middle of the forest. You’re not okay.”

“I’m okay, I just a little exhausted.” Lavelle dodge and pretend to be okay.

Daniela huffed.

Lavelle snorts. “I think I must stay here until everything is done. I don’t know… I am so bored when they pressed me like I’m the only one can be mistreated.”

“That’s reasonable, but why did you have to run away without giving information to anyone?” Daniela asked.

“Gosh, you know it well,” repeats Lavelle.

The atmosphere began to be tense with anger.

Mark shouted. “Stop acting foolish! Don’t argue here!”

"I'm bored, don't understand what bores me today," murmured Lavelle.

"You're the one who doesn't enjoy your own life," replies Daniela, "Actually, your family is so perfect no one is lacking. But why do you hate your dad so much?"

"Of course, doesn't every single thing have to be based on obvious reasons," added Mark raising his hands forward.

"I don't know, don't talk about this. I hate it so much," murmured Lavelle before wiping out her wine.

The sun had been setting earlier. However, Lavelle was still sitting on the porch of her cabin, a little drunk. She muttered a little, babbled, cursed at her annoying daddy. Could not see clearly what was in front of her at that time. The kitchen sound could still be heard, clearly indicating that Daniela was still cooking their dinner menu that night.

"It's so cold outside. Come on inside, you're still sick but, forcing you to get drunk." Mark prepared to lift Lavelle's body at that time.

"I still want to stay here," growled Lavelle, half-drunk; even her eyes were tightly closed.

"Oh, my! You're so drunk, don't insist on sitting outside," complained Mark.

"I'm not drunk, I just drank a glass of wine. You're exaggerating," laughed Lavelle.

Mark squealed and tried to slowly lift Lavelle's body. However, the slightly bulky girl rebelled in annoyance. Lavelle growled in pain, hitting Mark's shoulder with full force. From behind, Daniela appeared, bringing a glass of warm water for Lavelle. Mark already looked very tormented all day with Lavelle in that place.

"Get some rest when you're tired. I'll take care of Lavelle." Daniela forced Lavelle to sip the warm water little by little.

"I think I'll stay here too; I've informed my family at home."

"Yes, I guess that was the right choice because the whole street was not lit by lights. You can sleep in the main room if you want," Daniela replied.

Suddenly Lavelle laughed out loud. "It turns out you are cowardly! It's useless being a man!"

"Lavelle, please watch your behavior when you are drunk. You've been indebted to Mark all this time," said Daniela.

"Drunk or sober, she's just as annoying," Mark grumbled.

"Forgive her, she is a little strange. It's good now that we help her into the room, the air outside is not good for a sick person like her." Daniela folded her arms across her chest.

Mark nodded, then slowly lifted Lavelle's lower body while Daniela tried to lift Lavelle's upper body. They brought Lavelle into the cabins with a whole strategy and put her in a booth with a comfortable bed.

Daniela covered Lavelle's body, not forgetting that Daniela turned on an electric mosquito repellent attached to the wall.

"Is she sleeping?" asked Mark.

"I think so, although it looks very strong. In fact, she is still recovering," said Daniela.

"Daniela, is she a lesbian? Why does she hate her father so much?" asked Mark.

"I think because she doesn't like her father's treatment all this time, you will also be like Lavelle if your parents like someone else's child more than yourself."

"Jeez, what happened to her?" asked mark again.

"I cannot explain with words, Wantemalon."

Lavelle writhed when she heard a loud noise from outside the cabin; her consciousness had not yet gathered a hundred per cent, her head still ached as if she had been hit by a baseball bat.

"Daniela, what are you doing outside? Why is it so noisy? "Lavelle asked quietly, barely audible.

However, she did not hear the answer from her friend or from Mark. Slowly but surely, Lavelle reached for her cellphone, which was still lying on the nightstand.

She yawned when she realized that it was still twelve in the evening, Lavelle scratching her own head, confused.

"What idiot is making a mess in the middle of the night like this," grumbled Lavelle as she opened her blanket.

Loosening her joints, a little, which felt stiff from sleeping too soundly, she chuckled irritably for a moment but still walked off to the balcony of her cubicle. The door to the balcony is made of bullet-proof glass; Lavelle and Daniela deliberately designed the cabin to be as safe as possible because it is far from residential areas as well as in the wild.

Small lights dimmed around the cabin, as usual; Lavelle looked up at the sky that looked bright at that time. Lavelle understood that this was the fifteenth when the moon would appear perfectly round, with bright lights shining in all directions.

"If there's nothing outside, where does the noise come from?" thought Lavelle.

Still feeling curious, she rushed out of her room to the living room, which was right in front of her room. She was a little stunned when she saw Mark sleeping soundly on her stomach and mouth slightly open.

Opposite Daniela, who fell asleep, curled up like a baby elephant who was lazy to walk. The television was still on at that time, making Lavelle a little annoyed; however, it was distracted because there was a loud voice due to something falling on the roof of their cabin.

Mark fell on his head at that moment, still half-conscious when the electricity began to go out there.

"What the hell?" asked Mark.

"Why did the electricity suddenly go out?" Lavelle asked in a trembling voice.

Mark turned on the flashlight of his cellphone and woke up Daniela, who looked very sound asleep. Daniela woke up grumbling a little, looking very exhausted from working all day long.

"Why did the electricity go out?" asked Daniela.

"I don't know, maybe you forgot to put gas in the generator," said Lavelle.

"We're not using a generator, we're connecting electricity from the transmitter across the lake." Daniela shuffled over to Mark's cell phone and looked out the window.

"Unlike usual, why could the electricity go out like this." Daniela still couldn't believe the incident.

"Earlier I heard a voice from above, what's that sound?" asked Mark to Lavelle.

"You think I know what that sound is?" asked Lavelle in a tone of displeasure.

"No, don't fight here. We better see first what causes the power to go out," suggested Daniela.

Lavelle took a deep breath. "What else can we do but see what's going on?"

Lavelle walked up the stairs to the roof of the cabin accompanied by Mark and Daniela, who were behind. Without waiting long, she opened the ceiling cover and glanced at a tile that had cracked for some reason. Lavelle's attention was distracted when she saw a glimpse of a black shadow in the corner of the room.

"Nothing strange, no broken cables either. Why did it suddenly go out?" asked Mark.

"I think there is indeed a problem with the power station across the lake," said Daniela.

"There's no way we can sleep in complete darkness like this," said Lavelle.

A second later, the electricity came on without warning; everyone was shocked. Mark checked around the room then shrugged his own shoulders, a little surprised by the incident.

A loud growl sounded awfully close at that time; Daniela arched her eyebrows in amazement as did Lavelle and Mark.

"Are you sure there are wolves around this cabin?" asked Mark.

"Wantemalon , you are the only boy here. Please don't act like you are a girl either, "said Lavelle.

"Damn, I was really scared because of that. I'm not acting like a girl, but I want to know that it's false, girls."
