The Tansus Fight

"You must be crazy." She shuffles beneath her breath. She ran off with a picky bag of coins and in an attempt to escape fell off the window and Stefan couldn't help but feel pity for her.

Trevor walks into the room immediately after Cressida leaves.

"What are you looking at?"Stefan, who was still staring at the window, turned to look at him.

"What? Nothing, Trevor, I heard the Shadow Assassin uses Tansus." Stefan picks the crab leg and examines it carefully.

Trevor chuckled,"What do you know about Tansus?"

"I know enough, I read about it in my free time". Stefan sounded confident about this information.

"Tansus is the type of swordsmanship that only the best mages can learn, you flick energy with a blade just like you flick water. A single strike is enough to kill someone." Trevor explained to Stefan.

" But why did you ask?"

Youkay raised the crab leg in his face and recalled the moves Cressida made on him.

"I am just wondering if this crab leg almost could have killed me."

"Give it here, give it to me, I will pick out the way…" Trevor attempted to collect the crab leg from him when Stefan retreated the crab leg straight to his neck. Trevoy was scared for his Life.

"Listen, Stefan, you're aiming at a vital point. I could die" Trevor could see the edge of the crab almost piercing him.

" Yes, she aimed at my vital point in just one go." Stefan was certain Cressida was really talented with her fighting ability.

Cressida was in the market wanting to eat as her weak body craved food often when the mages entered the market. The women were murmuring about a female assassin who wanted to kill the mages and its leaders but got caught. The group of mages was led by Jiwon one of the seasons, they were merely taking a walk around town.

Morgan and Elena had had an encounter in the past when they were younger. Elena in Cressida's body recalls seating on a tree with Morgan and he gave her a whistle. She couldn't get her gaze away from him in the market as he walked past her.

" He must have seen my dead body, he likely would not recognize me. I am sure he did not recognize the whistle either" Cressida fell into her endless monologue and got emotional on seeing Morgan.

Down below the mountains into the Stony Forest are Elena's superiors – the ones who trained her and have sent her on her mission whose faces were barely seen because they were covered in black cloths from head to toe.

" There are no signs of Elena having visited this place, I think she failed to find a new body." One of the superiors said.

" Even if she succeeded, she probably isn't showing herself because she's facing a problem. An Assassin with a revealed identity must be discarded. We have to retrieve her body and sword, get rid of everything that has to do with her." The older superior replied.

" What happens if she's still alive?" The younger superior was insisted

" She will either get killed for being a soul shifter, or her soul will clash with the new body and she will turn to a rock. I trained her very well to become the best assassin, it's a pity." The oldest Superior sounded disappointed.

Nevertheless, Stefan Donovan ordered his men to kidnap Cressida and bring her back to the palace.

Cressida was rendered unconscious at the gold shop where she had gone to sell off one of the royal Jade she stole while in the palace when some group of men came in and kidnapped her.

" Where am I? Did I get caught? Then is this Pandora?" Cressida woke up to see herself in a strange room and had questions all over her head.

The door cracked open and a maid walked in with clothes.

"Are you awake?" The maid asked.

"Who are you? Where is this place?" Cressida was curious about her new environment.

"It is in the house of master Daniel Donovan, the head of Monticello "

"Daniel Donovan? So this is the Donovan family's house." One of those are monologues again.

"I wonder why the young master brought home such a weak girl." It's obvious the maid didn't like her.

"Young master? Cressida couldn't hide her curiosity.

"That is right, young master Donovan Stefan paid money for you to be brought here from the brothel. I heard you stole his Jade plague from the brothel"

"Why would he bring me here?"

Cressida was certain he was up to something because earlier on he gave her the Jade plague willingly.

"I was worried when he said he was bringing a girl home, but you put me at ease. He only helped you out of pity." The maid wasn't pleased to see her and she didn't need to hide it but Cressida was totally unbothered by her actions. She came in with some maid clothes and asked Cressida to change into it. She didn't fail to remind her that she was answerable to her before leaving the room for her to change up.

Cressida was glad she was going to be staying there, at least it was safer for her until she recovers and if he was falling head over hills for her, he would treat her right.

"Then I guess I will continue to live my life here as Cressida." She said to herself.
