Deal

Michelle Donnelly had one reason why she entered into this business of being an Angel, it was profitable, besides, she can manage properly between work and school and still have enough money to pay for her brother's education and health care.

Anthony Donnelly was involved in an accident when he was twelve, he had been driving up town when their parents when the drastic accident had happened.

Tony had been the only survivor, while their parents had died on the spot. Three years ago, Michelle had been so scared that she had lost her small family, well, when she had heard the news of Jeremy surviving, but being bound to a wheelchair, and occasionally crutches, she was more than grateful.

Now, she doesn't only fight for herself, she had the young man to carter for. Thus, going out of town for a week will alter her plans.

Aside from being an Angel at Nightstorm, the young lady was a final year degree student in social science. She was training to become a middleman between companies, and their goals.

"Michelle? are you alright, you seem lost," Harold's voice penetrated her ears as she blinked to steady her glare at the man.

"Yes, I am. When will I be required to start work?" Michelle asked her eyes dancing around the young man's body.

She felt him think, she knew it was going to be either good or bad.

"Monday, we are having a twelve hours flight, I believe we are both going to be exhausted, and most of our resources drained," Harold shot out.

"What?" such a long distance? tell me, where are we going to?" she asked her voice trembling instantly.

Harold wondered how much she wanted this lady to know, but this was a piece of mild information he could at least trust her with it.

"Mont Pearl, it is in Arizona. Quite far from here," Harold explained.

Michelle's eyes widened in shock, realization just dawned now that she might be dealing with a mysterious man, staring at her client, Michelle knew when to be scared and when not, right now her brain cells screamed to be saved.

"Who the heck are you? never worked for anyone who lived that far, what makes me think that I save with you, Sir?" she asked her voice shaky, but bound by a string of courage.

Harold had now lost his patience, he wanted to be done with this as much as possible.

"Because I am a well-known person. Miss Donnelly, you should count yourself lucky because you are having this offer from me," Harold said proudly.

He was not the only one with a temper, the young lady attacked him with the same energy he had put up for her just now.

"Who are you? some rich man who thinks money can get him everything and the pleasures he wants in life? go ahead then, Harold, get yourself another angel who will suit your temperament, because it is obvious we wouldn't work together," she shot out.

In anger, Michelle made the first move to walk out of the room, and in doing so, she walked past Harold, her shoulder brushing his lightly.

It was a challenge, the man wasn't going to let her go like that, she had caught her attention, and he was going to present her to his father.

Grabbing her hand, he pulled her back to himself, and holding her head steadily, Harold did the one thing that had been in his mind since he set his eyes on her.

Harold gave Michelle a searing kiss, it knocked the breath off her chest, she had been kissed before, and her job required that every now and then, but a kiss from Harold Thompson was a new one, she felt like she was going to melt down immediately.

Good enough for her, Harold her tight, her breast was plastered against his chest, she knew when to resist and when not to. Right now, her mind was too much clouded to think.

When Harold pulled away from her, he watched how flushed Michelle was, she seemed dazed, that was the effect he had wanted to achieve on her the moment he set out to kiss her.

"I want you as my Angel, Michelle, One week and we go our separate parts, or, are you scared that this one week you might fall in love with me and get glued to me forever?" the gentleman asked teasing her.

Michelle snorted, "I do not believe in happily ever after, I am not a princess from a fairytale either. I accept your challenge, Mr. Thompson. I will get my stuff ready for the grand flight," Michelle said.

She knew that it was not the challenge she was literally looking forth to, deep down in Michelle, it was the effect of that swooning kiss that had done it for her, she was certain that she was going to receive more of such kisses.

"Write down your address, I'll come to fetch you," Harold said in his authoritative tone.

An alarm flashed through Michelle's eyes briefly, one of her rules was that she never brought her clients to her home. Her brother was never supposed to know the kind of life she was living, it would be enough humiliation for him.

She frowned at the man as she spoke keeping her tone respectfully enough.

"We shall meet at the airport in the morning on the day we are to travel," Michelle said lightly.

"Why, are you keeping a secret?" Harold asked.

He doesn't know why he wants to be part of the lady's life, why is so interested in learning little facts that should actually be of no use to him.

Michelle stood her ground on this.

"You are my client, and with due respect, it shall remain that way. Our contract starts on Monday whenever we board the flight to Arizona," Michelle said.

Harold's audacity shocked her when he said to her face directly.

"No, Michelle, my time with you starts now. I shall see you on Monday then," he said kissing her warmly.

Taking on his heels, he walked out of the office.
