Shocked

Harold Thompson watched out for the lady who seemed to hold his entire life in place to show up at the airport.

To Harold, he knew Michelle was fit for the position, he had money to offer her, and that was all that is ever going to be between them because he has no intention of getting himself entangled in a relationship__ at least, not now.

The young man sighed as he watched Michelle walk through the rear of the airport glass walls. He caught his breath from his throat as the late advanced towards him.

"Hey, babe," he said planting a soft kiss across her parted lips.

That single kiss was enough to roughen the thoughts in the lady's mind. It wasn't expected, but it was at least something of importance.

"I thought the charade starts when we land at Mont Pearl?" Michelle asked brightly as she arranged her classy bag on her shoulder.

She noticed Harold was putting on glasses, he looked breathtaking, but now wasn't the moment to live in her head.

Harold rolled his eyes as he cocked an arm around the lady's fragile limp. She was all indication of being a weak lady, but he wondered what past looms from those brown eyes of hers.

"It starts now, Miss Donnelly. Let's be off now," he said slightly tugging her.

**

It was about 11 p.m. when they reached Mont Pearl, Arizona, the chilly air made Michelle whimper beneath the lady's jacket. She had picked up her slim straight purple gown that carved her delicate features out, if she was going to play the role of Harold's fiancee, she better live up to the position.

"Welcome to Mount Pearl," the young man said faintly.

Unlike what Michelle had envisioned the place to be, it was a rather awkward place that truncated her views of the small town she had painted in her head.

"This town is massive," she let the words slip off her mouth.

"I know, Mitch, but we don't earn here. We have another two hours ride to make before reaching home. Do not worry, we will have a break for the night, and we shall leave first thing in the morning," he commanded.

Michelle was so dull about this whole feeling, the journey seemed like an endless one, she frown as she watched Harold in disbelief.

"Really, Mr. Thompson? where do you live, at the end of the world or what?" she asked fuming.

Harold smiled, but his features held no affection in them. He glared at the young lady in shock as he forced himself to stay focused.

"I leave in a place called Mont Pearl. We are in its airport, and it's quite unfortunate that we have to travel two hours to get you safely home," he said.

Michelle was down beyond reasoning, she wanted this business done, and so she said it as she felt better.

"I wish the week runs out quickly as never before," Michelle snorted beneath her breath.

She did not mind if the man heard her or not, what mattered was that she had better be done with this business and rush along to her baby brother.

Harold was mad beyond rage hearing Michelle's wish, it is not like he wanted to be in this mess anyways, but pleasing his aging father is the only goal worth going through now.

Grabbing her chin with the tip of his fist, he forced her to stare at him.

"Don't make wishes in this town, Michelle, I hope you don't want it been accomplished before you have a chance to enjoy yourself, huh?" he said his evergreen eyes boring into hers.

Michelle trembled, tried to stay focused, and then, she watched how the man's hands fall down to his side.

"That is ridiculous, wishes don't get exhorted like you think they do, so grow up Mr. Fairytale believer," the lady shot out.

Harold choked, but recovered shortly, he was going to be hysterical, but keep his thoughts light with this lady who struggled to meddle with them so much.

"Let's get going now, I am tired of even putting up a fight I know you will probably try to cheat and win," Harold shot out, giving her a hard blow on her face.

"Who the heck do you think you are?" Michelle shot out arrogantly.

It was weird having no reply from Harold, indeed, he had made up his mind not to put a fight with her. She was frustrated, tired, and weak.

"Fuck you, Mr. Harold Thompson," she said beneath her breath, rushing towards the older man.

Harold had already asked his pack member to bring a car for him at the airport earlier, thus, he was not worried when he asked at the portal desk and was handed a key.

Michelle walked a slow distance from the young man, Harold could hear her tiny footsteps hit the ground. When she saw the car parked outside, Mitch's mouth dropped open in shock.

She tried hard to suppress her shock, it was an escapade 2020 version. She wasn't a pro when it has to do with such things, but damn! the advertisement had been everywhere for even an unfashionable lady like her not to notice it.

"You own that car?" she asked before she realized that her question had been asked loudly.

'Oh shit!' she cried mentally.

Harold swirled his head, just enough to glance at the lady's mouth drop open. She did very little to hide her alarmed sticking expression.

"Isn't that obvious already, Miss blind lady? now, I'll have to take into consideration that you aren't only a short-wit brained lady, you also lack the correct sight to see above reality," Harold said rudely.

Michelle Donnelly knew she couldn't take it from Harold anymore, his arrogance will run her crazy before the week elapses, her sanity is important to her, in case he doesn't figure it out yet.

She took a bold step towards Harold and said in retaliation, "You Dragon... be calm because this week will be hard on your side," she warned lightly.

Harold was having fun now. He was a few inches above the lady.

"Beware, Michelle, this dragon you just created can puff smoke and spitfire, it might consume you before you notice it," Harold teased.

Lowering his head, he took Michelle's mouth in his, claiming her in front of whatever watchful eyes dared gaze at them at the airport.

He knew the week was going to be everything but dull, he has Michelle Donnelly to face his father and the entire Masters' pack.
