ASHER!
ASHER!
It had been a hard time since he had left his mate to be carried out of the pack without any interference not because he had wanted her to be taken out but because she had to be saved.
For all three years, he had not been able to forgive himself for what he and Lidien’s parents had done to her but looking on the bright side it was because she didn’t understand the danger she was in when she kept crying and laid a curse saying she was going to be back.
Asher considered for a moment what if he had simply called the pack soothsayer and told him to consult the goddess of the moon Winslet Pack to help with all the troubles they would be facing.
Instead of marking his mate on that fateful full moon which had just been full after a long decade of wait she finally had to be taken out of the pack as though she was a thief.
She had cried and whined and told him she didn’t want him to let her go but he had watched his mate and childhood friend and love be taken out and become a rogue as per a prophecy.
Now it felt like he was going to tell the protector to bring back the queen of his heart because it was like he felt her pains sometimes his wolf Ash would not let him rest from the guilt trip of having to send his mate away from him, Ash kept pressuring Asher saying they should have marked their mate by now and they would have been far longer in their relationship and they would have made her super happy because that why they were mates, to begin with. Growing up from when he was seventeen and Lidien was thirteen years old, Ash had already wanted to mark Lidien, an impatient bastard he was for sure.
“Well guess our mate is going to return to the pack pretty soon I should understand?” Ash asked Asher and he just had to shut his mind off from those questions even though it was time to observe how Lidien was doing before she was brought back to the pack, his inner wolf wouldn’t let his rest with questions which could make him pissed beyond reasonable doubts he had a lot on his plate and sitting to hear this he had to do what was best.
“Don’t shut me out Asher, you know I am not scared of you, so you better have answers for me! Ash said and Asher out of frustration shut him out and went on with his pack activities.
It was not up to five minutes before Lidien parents showed up to talk about the famous prophecy.
Asher left his office and met them in the family’s sitting room.
“Hey Asher, ehm, I guess you know why we are?” Lidia's father asked and he nodded showing them to their sit. There was no time to waste at this point because they just wanted their daughter back home, it had been a long three years of guilt-tripping them to shreds and having to feel how awful they were to her as parents.
“Yes, I do know that, and you both know I would want my mate to return to me safe and sound. I had sent Wade to take care of her during these last few days leading to her birthday and word has it that she is safe with him in one of the werewolf pack houses and he is trying his best to get her to comply with him before he gets her back to the Moon Winslet Pack.” He explained to Lidien’s parents and this came as a relief to them and they even were privileged to know that he loved their daughter to the extent of keeping her in mind even when she was out of sight he was the best thing which could have ever happened to their life.
“So how do we do to welcome her back into the pack and make her trust us once again? Remember before she wanted to go she had laid curses which seemed to be prominent for the past year as we have faced some draught and our streams produced some bloody substances” Her father said but Asher looked at him sceptically still because those things had just happened for a while and everything had back to normal after that although it came back every other time on the dates which began with a one or ended with a one just as she had said.
“But before she left her powers were yet t be manifesting don’t you think that’s too fast to judge by the happenings it could still be the prophecy which is trying to manifest and play us into thinking she is the one who had made it to happen?” Asher tried to assure them it wasn’t any curse because Lidien had said those things out of anger that day but that did not mean that she meant every word she said.
“She isn’t an ordinary being you know that don’t you?” Lilian asked Asher who was shocked in his head but still stayed on the fact that his mate could not be the cause of their misfortunes for the past year of drought. Just then he received a call which stated that Wade was having a hard time keeping Lidien at one spot because she would not want to be at the hideout where she was kept. He ordered Wade to keep her place until he arrived there and hung up the call.
“What’s happening is anything wrong with my daughter?” Edgar asked but Asher turned and looked at him before he called a guard to take the couple back home but not without saying, she would be back to us safe and sound just keep on the low” he said and the couple left having just a tit bid of fate in their Alpha and son in law because he sure knew what he was doing.
“Listen here I come,” he said and mind signalled his Beta they had a task to carry out as soon as possible and to arrange a few soldiers.
