Greedy Deal!

Greedy Deal!

Keegan was confused as she stared at the good-looking man staring back at her. She didn't even know how she got to where she was. Which brought her back to her senses, where was she?

That was when the smell of the antibacterial and other cleaning agents hit her nose. She was not where she was supposed to be. She was in some hospital!

Keegan's expression immediately changed into horror and then anger as she recalled the events that had happened. She was on her way to raise money for her father from where ever she could a madman ran her over.

"I am Cruise. Tyler Cruise white," Cruise replied to her question and she felt even more irritated. Of course,e she knew who he was. He was the CEO of the White Wine company and his face was hard to miss because it was passed everywhere around the city. It was what rich people enjoyed doing while the poor masses died of terrible diseases they could never afford for. Her heart felt bitter and she fisted her hands to avoid slapping the smile out off his face.

"Did you want me dead?" Was the next question she fired out of her mouth. "Don't you look where you are going?"

The cruise was shocked at her reaction. She had looked so innocent one minute and then now she looked like she could bite his head off. He tried to open his mouth to apologise but she didn't even let him breathe.

"Are you blind? Oh, you think because you have the money you can get away with anything!" The moment the words left her mouth, Keegan realized that she had met a jackpot. The answer and solution to all her problems were finally smiling right back at her and she was stupidly throwing it away.

"I am so sorry Miss. I was not in the right state of mind, I shouldn't have been driving and thinking," Cruise apologised as a perfect plan started blooming in his head. Naturally, he should have reprimanded her sharp tongue but she was his mate and he automatically developed a soft spot for her. Yet again, that wasn't the reason Cruise was acting like a gentleman. He had other plans.

Keegan bit her lip and tried not to roll her eyes at the man's explanation. Why would he even drive in the first place if he knew he wasn't in the right state of mind? Rich people were crazy and selfish! There was no two way about it.

"I'll do whatever it is you want me to. The hospital bills have already been taken care of but please, do not be angry with me," Cruise said in the sweetest of voices.

The goddess had just given him the perfect solution to all of his problems.

Keegan was quiet as her mind patiently calculated how she was going to use the situation to extort enough money from this man, so she could save her father.

"It's okay," she whispered as she feigned shyness. The best way she knew of cheating someone was to have them believe you were naive and Keegan did just that.

The cruise was excited that she didn't take his proposition negatively. He didn't know if it was the mate bond working in her bloodstream but whatever the case was, he was excited about this. His inheritance wasn't so far off anymore.

"Thank you," he whispered back. "What's your name miss?" He asked her. Aside from his plans, he was dying to know her name.

"Keegan Suzy Madison," she replied rolling the ends of her long hair.

"Keegan," Cruise whispered testing her name with his tongue. He loved it. "Perfect." She was perfect.

"I will go see the doctor so long," Cruise said as he moved away from her. He ignored his whining wolf as this was no time for romance.

He had to make the girl want him too, so she didn't end up like Chloe. Cruise walked to the doctor's office and paid off Keegan's bills. He then returned to her and handed her a large envelope.

"What's this for?" She asked as she weighed the object discreetly hoping it was money.

"Oh that is just compensation for your trouble," he told her.

Keegan tore the envelope open right in front of him and frowned. This was not the kind of money she needed. Her father wouldn't be needing this change. She had to evolve her tactic. Keegan frowned as she raised her cold eyes to Cruise.

Mr White, do I look like a beggar to you?" She asked throwing the envelope with the single wad of money to the floor.

Cruise raised his brows in surprise. He could not understand what had gotten into her now.

"I am going to sue you for running into me and maybe when the judge decides on the sum of money you should be paying me for wasting my time, you will realise, I do not accept peanuts!" She yelled.

Cruise realized she was being extremely rude to him but of course, he couldn't reprimand her. He needed her not because of the mate bond but because of his selfish need for an heir.

"I am so sorry Miss, Keegan please, relax. I will do the needful. Put in your account details," he said as he passed her his mobile phone.

Keegan took the phone with feigned anger and typed in her account details. She returned the phone to him and as their fingers brushed, she couldn't deny the electric current that passed through them.

She ignored the feeling, writing it off as excitement over the money Cruise was going to send to her.

Cruise wired a sum of two thousand dollars to her account and when she received the notifications, she was more than excited.

Cruise understood at once the kind of woman she was. Just like Chloe, even his mate had an interior motive, she needed money and he would use that against her.

"Keegan, forgive me if I am acting too fast, but would you like to go on a date with me?"
