Chapter 6

"A.P Calculus"

"Wait a minute, you are in the seniors?" I asked, looking Incredulously at her.

"Yeah?"

"That means we are in the same class. Who is your sister by the way" I asked?

"Tracey" The moment she said that name, I halted in my steps and turned to look at her in disbelief.

"Tracey is your sister?"

"Yeah?" I was about to say something, when I noticed Chris entering the hall, looking fly in his shirts and pants. He needed not to dress too much to look handsome. His eyes immediately caught up with mine, and I looked away.

"Something the matter?" Ruby asked, looking around and when her eyes landed on Chris, I could hear the gasp from her mouth.

"By the lords!! Is that dude in my class?" She asked, looking as though she had seen a god.

"Yeah, his name is Chris and I would advise you to stay away from him, his cocky" When he came up to our side, I needed not to see him know he had an annoying smile on his face.

"Hello ladies"

"Chris, I have been looking for you" I looked up to see Tracey, coming to wrap herself around him in a tight hug.

"Tracey?"

"Oh! I didn't see you there sister, how did you arrive at school" I watched as Ruby rolled her eyes and simply hissed.

"I survived and luckily I do hope you have seen the dude you were dressing up to impress" I could practically see the look on Tracey's face, as she felt embarrassed.

"Well dear sister, this is Chris my boyfriend" I was taken aback by the sudden title. Not that I was surprised, but rather I was shocked to discover that they had started dating just within the space of twenty-four hours.

"That's cool!!!!!" Ruby said with a smile on her face.

"Uhmm... If you would excuse me, I am running late for A.P Calculus class and I don't want to face another detention" I said, looking at Ruby.

"I see you have also met the nerd of the school" And she had to be so annoying at the moment by giving me that stupid tag.

"Wait! Rose is a nerd," Ruby asked, staring at me for a second.

"She doesn't look like one to me"

"Bye," I said, trying to avoid any further discussion of whether or not I was a nerd.

After A.P Calculus class, we were all waiting for the Geography class, when I suddenly heard a banging on the desk, causing me and the other entire class members to look at where the noise was coming from.

"Announcement everyone!!" Tracey stated, climbing up on her desk.

"So, tomorrow happens to be my birthday and I am so excited about it" I practically rolled my eyes at how dramatic she was.

"I am inviting you all to my party, at my house by 09:00 pm" My ears cringed at the loud cheer coming up from the class.

"So I want you all to come in your mannerless behaviors, and sexual attires, and let's party hard tomorrow!!!" Everyone began to beat their desk as they continued cheering with joy.

The last time Tracey held a party, I heard that most people did the forbidden things I had always been warned about when I was young.

It the type of those teenager stuffs that you can't just help but do, due to the influence of other peers.

"Hey" I was broken out of my thoughts by Ruby, who had a cheerful smile on her face.

"Whatsup?"

"Are you going to come to Tracey's party tomorrow?" I chuckled.

"I don't do parties" I simply commented. The look of shock on her face almost wanted to make me laugh.

"What do you do in your leisure time then"

"Well, I simply take up novels and read or probably surf through Youtube to see the latest inventions that science has to offer" I explained in a heartbeat.

"That must be fun," I noticed the tone of sarcasm in her voice as she spoke "Look, take this from me and come for the party" She pleaded.

"But I don't do parties" I whined

"Well, not anymore dear. If you are going to have me as a friend, then you must learn to do things that teenagers do for fun" Ruby indicated.

"But...." She shushed me "No buts... Tell you what, why don't I storm your house tomorrow after school and check through your wardrobe to see the things that you have in your closet" Was she being serious at the moment? I thought to myself. No one had ever breached my space and now, he wants to do it.

"But......." I halted in my words seeing the look she was giving me.

"Alright, I will try and make it"

"Not try babe, you are coming. I will be bringing my things over to your house so I could dress and dress you up too" She commented

"But what about your own house?"

"My sister would probably want me to help her with the decorations but I am not doing that stuff anymore. I rather let her do it, so she feels the type of stress I went through last year" My mind wasn't into what she was saying as I thought about the party.

I haven't been to a party since I became human from my mother's womb; sounds absurd, right?

I am pretty much the type of teenager that still had some morals and though my parents didn't thought me all of these, it was some type of decision I made myself.

There was no way I would not go to the party, knowing that Ruby would be coming over to my house. I referred to being influenced, I guess Ruby is forcing her way into my life and influencing me in the process.

"It has nothing to do with work," he said standing on his feet.

He had finished his sandwich, and the coffee can was almost empty. He glared down at the young woman's pretty face and spoke out swiftly,

"Wait for me after work today, we will talk then," the young man said firmly as he walked away.

she stared at his back for a while until he disappeared.
