It's hurt
Hazel showered and readied herself for school ahead. Her body still hurt a little as a dull aching pain on her joints made her tired. Yawning from time to time while dressing up.
She had just finished putting on her skirt and top when her door was slammed open as the three brothers walked in. "How're you Hazel?" They both chorused making her lift an eyebrow at them as what happened last night formed in her head.
"You know after what happened yesterday, we're..." Ryan cut Clare off and continued from there.
"I won't say sorry though but it was the nicest time I ever had with a girl," Ryan smiled but Hazel didn't return it.
"We would be leaving for school now and don't forget to arrive early," he added and kissed her before walking out of the room.
"Are you alright?" Ives voice resonated from behind her. His face was filled with concern as he stared at her.
Hazel smiled and raised her head. "I'm good."
Ives knew she was hurt by what Ryan had said as if she was a plaything, "it's alright, I'm here for you okay?" He embraced her for sometime before pulling away, "I must go now."
He was out of the room before she could answer him.
"Godforsaken boots!" Hazel cursed and threw the pair of black boots back into her closet. It was Monday, attending school is a must to her and her father did well in making sure she doesn't miss school.
Her phone on top the bed suddenly beeped making her turn from the closet to check. It a message from Fay.
[Damn it Hazel, where are you? ]
Lifting an eyebrow, Hazel quickly picked a black leather boots from her rack of shoes and put it on. She applied a transparent lip gloss and threw her bag pack over her shoulder as she made for school. Why did the message not make sense, Fay has never message her before in the morning, she thought.
On her way away from the mansion, Hazel passed by a locked room but her hearing ability made it possible to hear their conversation.
"What do we do? This is the fourth time it's happening," Luna Alison's voice was fathomable.
"We can't tail on them as they wiped every trace of tracking them." Erin said. She is Hazel's mother.
"We can't stand by and watch the people being killed in their own territories and home at night. There have been news of missing people." Beta Theo Walter said.
She hailed a cab after waiting for less than ten minutes.
The Beta and Gamma lives in the Alpha's estate so as to protect him or run affairs on behalf of the Alpha.
The larger estate was occupied by the hundreds of warriors of Dew Pack, a large training platform, many buildings for accomodations and the large Alpha's mansion.
Hazel arrived at school and rushed into the large compound of DAWN ACADEMY. It was a frequent thing for the school to be noisy in the morning because of the three brothers. Especially the girls were too flanked by their handsomeness, many would want to be their friends but the brothers were not fools.
The school security man was doing a checkup on the students when Haze got there. The students formed a que as they were being searched before they could enter the class. It was time for the monthly test and most unserious students would love to cheat during exams and test.
Hazel was a few feet away from the line when Fay sighted her. The excited friend rushed to meet Hazel who was grinning when she stopped on her track. The smile on Hazel's lips died as she watch Fay let out a pretentious cough and returned to the que.
Hazel then turned to look behind her only to see Ives standing with an aloof expression on his alluring face. "Hey," she said shyly while the crowd turned silent.
Ives raised his eyebrow at her, "late to school is not supposed to be in your book," he said lazily and grabbed Hazel's hand before walking to stand on one side of the corridor.
"Are you scolding me or what? I woke up late because of what..." Hazel paused and eyed the crowd lined up, werewolves have great hearing ability and could hear everything said even in a whisper.
"Go on," Ives didn't say anything at first.
Hazel looked at him closely but there was no sign of mischief in his eyes.
"Nothing," she licked her lips out of nervousness.
Tipping her head up to look at him, Ives smirked knowingly; do you mean how we entangled in each others embrace? I would like if we do it again, alone." He the licked his lips sexily.
The skin on Hazel's face and head turned red as she recalled his lips on hers, his hot breathe, most especially his touchs. She could still feel every part of him and longed for more.
"Shh. You're making me edgy, people are watching," Hazel was pissed off by his actions.
"I'm horny," he said and placed his hand on her back and gave her a small push towards the que.
At the front were Clare and Ryan waving at her. When she got closer Ryan pulled her into the que making her stand at his front while Ives returned to the back.
After Clare was searched, it was Hazel's turn, snickers, scoffs and harrumph were heard from behind.
"She came late and pushed to the front because she knows the brothers."
"I can't believe this is happening, I've been standing for several minutes."
"Such a plaything." A cold distant voice etched with jealousy said earning gasps and talks from everyone on the line with few boy's who gossips about females.
Hazel gulped as the man tucked his hand into her pocket. She had no idea of what was happening as she failed to ask Ives because of his mischievousness.
She frowned and paid deaf ears to the gossips around her. After the man was done he with her, be gestured for her to enter the class. It was a normal thing for her in school, they would always say bad things because they couldn't get what they want.
The monthly test was not that hard for Hazel as she answered her questions diligently. She could still see one or two people fumbling around their pockets or whatever they had hidden.
She threw a look at Ives who was writing without pausing making Hazel wonder if he knew what he was doing. Ives was the most stubborn and cared less about his education even though their parents were rich, Alpha Louis would want all his children to be educated, same also for her father.
After the days test everyone starts heading home, Fay rushed to her friend and embrace her, "Hazel you're so mean," she grumbled and pressed Hazel into a body crushing hug.
"Fay, you're squeezing life out of me," Hazel said in a wavery voice.
"Oh sorry," Fay said quickly. She is a girl with dark brownish hair and cute face, black eyes, expensive clothes and jewelries doned her slender neck and hand.
"What happened between you three Hazel, a rumour has been flying around you sleeping with...."
"Hazel," a deep familiar masculine voice and she turned on her heels to look at the person.
It was Ives, his expression showed that he wasn't happy seeing Fay telling me about the rumours. "We need to leave," he said and grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the crowd leaving Fay grumbling away.
Hazel was in her room when a guard was sent to call her that her father request her presence immediately.
She left the assignment she was doing and went to answer her father. Surprisedly, it was the room she had heard them talking about the killing of werewolves in their homes.
The room was not too luxurious comprising of a large table made of strong black wood and twelve chairs, a glass window and another door which might be a restroom. Getting into the room, Hazel wasn't surprise to find the three brothers seated at the other side of the table. Hazel joined her father and mother, Erin.
"Good evening Alpha Louis and Luna Alison," Hazel greeted the couple and her father before taking her seat.
Ives was sitting across Theo Walter, Hazel's father while Hazel sat across the Alpha Louis.
"It's good to see you Hazel." Alpha Louis said and moved his eyes around the table.
"Now everyone is here there's a problem in the packs. Recently, four out of hundred pack inside Dew Pack has been eliminated." The Alpha said flatly.
Hazel then understood what they were arguing about in the morning. The four packs were eliminated and the people were killed.
"This is the fourth time of its happening and I want to advice you all that no matter how long we take before returning, DON'T leave this pack house."
Everyone nodded in the room except Ives who was playing with a fruit knife in his hand as he peel the apple. His father threw a hard glare at him, even when he saw his father.
"Ives, do you have anything to say?" Alison asked harshly. Ives has always been a bone in their throat.
"No. Just getting bored," he said and stood up from his seat. His father was angry and embarrassed but couldn't say it, instead of Ives to leave the room, he came to stand beside Hazel and handed her the bunny apple.
A small blush appeared on Hazel's face as she stared at the bunny shaped apple, Ives had took his time to peel and shape the apple only to give it to her.
"Thank you," she said with a smile on her lips.
Ives smiled and patted her head before leaving the room.
All eyes then shifted to Hazel. "That was quite a display of affection, isn't it Louis?" Luna Alison asked while staring at Hazel with a dull expression in her eyes. She wasn't happy about one of her son getting affectionate with a common Beta's daughter.
"I see. Ives would be coming with us then," Alpha Louis said and dismissed everyone on the table.
Hazel was pulled out of the room by her father towards their floor with her mother trotting behind. When they got to the second floor, her father walked her towards the living room and made her sit on one of the couches.
"Hazel I demand an answer and you must give it to me!" Her father said with a thunderous voice making Hazel wince.
"What relationship do you have with him?" Her mother was the first to ask. She was a gentle woman who would come to her daughter's rescue anytime.
"We are not in a relationship, he just peeled an apple for me,"
"Hazel stop lying, how long have you two been together?" Beta Theo was speechless when his daughter didn't reply meaning it was a new one.
"What else have you done with him?"
"Nothing, just training."
Theo Walter slapped his hand on the table and it crashed into pieces. "Are you still lying to me Hazel?"
Hazel kept quiet and lowered her head, she couldn't tell her father she had make out with Ives. Her mother came to sit beside her and pat her hair, "you both did it?"
She nodded her head slowly while her father gaped at her in surprise.
"You slept with him Hazel! How could you bring shame to us."
"I...I am sorry father, really sorry."
Beta Theo exhaled sharply and sat across the shattered table. "I'm not angry with you, I'm worried what will happen if his father finds out about what he had done."
"How?"
"Ives is supposed to be the Alpha after his father. Even though he came out last, he was the most willful one among them and his father declared to all the court members that he would become the next Alpha after him. If he finds out about it, he would definitely shift that position to Ryan."
"What if I'm his mate? It'll be different right?"
"Yes." But you're not his."
"The blue moon will rise in two days, you might be a mate to one of his brother and not him. The moon goddess has her own way of blessing her people."
Hazel folded in her mother's embrace as she thought about Ives. He was going to be the next Alpha, an idea suddenly struck her, "father would you do me a favor by not telling Alpha Louis?"
Her father was about to answer her when Alpha Louis voice rang inside the living room making them flinch and shocked.
"You must be a smart one Hazel but an offense cannot be reversed, we'll wait for the blue moon to see if he's your mate. Then he can still held onto the position but if not, he'll have to fight for it because I cannot make a decision of whom to put other than him."
