Number 5

Roman was made to kneel in front of Damien. He didn’t have the power to struggle nor to ponder on why he was summoned for a supposed judgement.

Damien sighed, he was struggling on what to say to the mute omega for some reasons he had meted punishment on the Omega without at least getting his own side of the story. He knew that rape was a grave atrocity and that Irene couldn’t lie about it and that’s why he acted on impulse without clarifying things properly. But he had already made his resolve to let him go besides Irene didn’t argue with him for the past month because she was mostly busy torturing the Omega.

Banishing him was the only judgement he felt was merciful enough besides no one will be proud to be a rogue and that was a deserving punishment for trying to commit a grieveous crime.

“I as the Alpha of star moon pack has come to a decision that the omega would be banished for good from the star moon pack, if by any chance he is still seen lurking around the areas of the park then death shall be his punishment.” The people present gasped in shock, when they saw the mute Omega been dragged to the front of the Alpha all their thoughts was that he was going to be executed but the Alpha was being merciful?, That was a complete shocker.

Damien smirked, did the dumb Alpha suddenly decide to be merciful to him?. Now he had a rogue title added to his future Alpha title, biggest win indeed. His dad will be so proud of him. Damien sauntered out of their presence after passing out his shocking judgement on the alleged rap"st. His elegant robe flowing behind him.

Roman’s eyes followed his figure till he was completely out of sight wondering why he had meted him with such a less punishment, before he was escorted to the border of the pack, were most rogues lived to survive. Too bad he couldn’t see the face of the bitch that caused all this before leaving

“A new rogue?” The head rogue asked looking at Roman from head to toe.

“Yes but he’s mute.” Roman sighed, do they have to announce to the world that he’s mute all the time.

He wasn’t caught for all this bullshit and rogue society nonsense, the only thing on his mind was going back to Lorelei and that he would do.

“A mute rogue?, That’s a new one, isn’t he way better off dead?.” The head rogue questioned not minding that he was standing there. So this was how mute people are being treated.

“Hey, look the mute us eating stake.” One of the rogue spoke and he and his cohorts guffawed, how was he eating stake funny?. He glared at the rogues trying to spoil his peaceful afternoon with their gibberish.

“Wipe that glare off, you mute!. Who do you bloody think you are huh?.” The rogue wiped the plate of stake from his hands and the plate came crashing on the floor. If they was one thing Roman hated after bitchy and dumbass people, it was food wastage. His face turned red with anger and he clenched his fist tightly, holding the urge to give this specie a beating of his life till it was hard to breath for them.

“Oh mute over here still has the effrontery to glare at me again, get me that whip, Olivia.” The troublesome rogue commanded his lackeys, he seems to be the one bossing them around. The whip was handed on to him and he raised it up to meet Roman but his hands stuck midway, with no one holding it.

“What are you doing to me?..” he cried trying hard to drop his hands down but he just couldn’t…" Please let me go."

“But I wasn’t doing anything.” Roman said and shrugged and everyone around gasped in shock, how come the mute guy could suddenly talk.

“Why are you all surprised?, You haven’t had a male speak before?”

“Please it hurts stop this please!” The rogue begged and cry, his hands had paused when he tried whipping the supposed mute rogue who wasn’t mute at all.

“But I just said I wasn’t doing anything besides what happened to your sharp tongue, lost your voice??”In his first week in the rogue society, Roman had tried enduring their attempts to bully him still playing along with the mute thingy to avoid unnecessary attention. But he didn’t have to carry out the mission m, so what was the use.

“Please, I’m sure you are the one, I apologise for everything I have ever done to you I mean it just let me go this once. I promise I would never try it again, I promise. It hurts.” Table rogue begged in pain.

“how am I going to trust a promise from someone like you, I doubt that you could ever keep a promise?” Roman scoffed.

“I swear on my life, I can do a blood oath. Th- The pain is more than unbearable just make it stop.”

“Use a reminder to make sweet thing I’m not your usual banished rogue, be for me or don’t exist. You get me do you?” Roman asked and the rogue nodded hurriedly and Roman made his hands drop. Making body parts stop was one of his least capabilities but compared to others it was a wow factor.

“Thank you so much, I am forever grateful.” The rogue appreciated on his feet and his Lackeys also begged for forgiveness for all their wrongdoings. The saying is true that with power comes respect and this trouble making rogues begging for his forgiveness was a clear example. He didn’t know why he hadn’t kill them?, Well they maybe helpful around in the future after all.

After figuring out that Roman wasn’t someone to be messed with, the rogues had turned to his friends instead of foes. The bullying died down with them respecting him, besides he wasn’t a mute anymore. Though they were curious on why he lied about not being able to speak, none of them had the effrontery to ask him, probably because they were scared of been choked to death. Silly people!

Being strong and interesting enough got him new friends, he had straightened many of the damp heads rogues character and many look up to him but he had no plans of staying in a so called rogue society, he missed his mate. His all craved for her so bad, her alluring scent, her posture, her tempting smile and everything about her which made him urge for endless love making probably on the soft grass in a garden full of roses with the stars twinkling in the sky and an additional rhythm of their heartbeats moving together in sink. He knew he was thinking dirty, but who would blame him. His mate was a walking temptation that it was hard to not have naughty thoughts about her.

Her thoughts filled his head, that it was hard to think straight. A year without her was the greatest punishment, even though they would probably just stare at each other from afar it was worth a while. She really hope her anger about him leaving without informing her, would last for just a short while and everything would return back to the way it was or even better than before.

“Are you sure about leaving?”. His most trusted acquaintance, Andrew questioned. He wouldn’t term Andrew as a very close friend but their relationship was more than the rest of the other rogue.

“Yes.”he answered simply in his usual bored tone which all the rogues had gotten used to..

“The oldie head rogue might not let you leave, you know.” Andrew stated, liting his cigarettes. “He will have no choice, Roman don’t take no’s besides I am not someone he could look in the eye and give a blatant negative response to.”

“True, you are a male of means and power…” Need a stick?" Andrew said offering him his cigarettes. “Sure.” Roman said and collected the stick of cigarettes from him.

……

Andrew woke up the next morning and couldn’t find Roman anywhere and the amusing thing is that he left without informing anyone not even the head rogue. Passing security was one of the hardest things to do and the head rogue didn’t easily give permission for anyone to leave so he wondered what means did Roman use in leaving.

Never in Andrew’s existence had he seen someone as weird and estrange as Roman who exuded a strong powerful aura. Who or what he was is a mystery to him? For someone who was a rogue, he didn’t look anything like it. Instead he looked like a noble man with the way he carried himself and his eloquent way of speaking. Roman was really STRANGE.

….

Roman stood in front of the place he missed, the place he met her– his mate. He recalled the first time he walked in here, into the bar. She had payed no attention to him and focused on what she was doing but he found her unique and amusing. Her scent calling out to him and that feeling of a mate pull felt surreal and new to him, that he just couldn’t describe it. He took a deep breath" Lorelei, how I have missed you." Stepping into the bar, he net a sight he hadn’t expected, some nobody groping his mate’s backside, trying to harass her.
