Deal
The only person who seemed bored this evening is Cole Brown. He grits his teeth as he watches the young lady enter the club tonight.
The air was filled with blood, he knew then that the evening was just starting. Galaxy club is known for its records, and it was never good.
Tonight, he had wanted to chill out his brain cells, as the Alpha of a very powerful mafia group, he knew when another wolf walks into a place.
But this wasn't any kind of wolf, wolves don't lurk in town with their traces so evident, except him of course.
Cole had seen the she-wolf and he had known the power she emits is strong, he had followed her with his eyes, but he noticed the man that had followed her minutes earlier.
He had been mesmerized by the lady's beauty, how sweet she was, and how she looked so fragile.
When Leo attacked her, he knew it was his call to be a hero. He hadn't wanted to soil his hands tonight, but he needs to know more about this mysterious lady, and why she was here tonight.
As Leo pushes forward, his hands getting ready to slap across Emily's face, he stops him, by sidestepping the lady from his reach and grabbing the man's arm in his own, pressing harder.
Leo may be in control of the club when Cole isn't around, but he fucking owns this place, and everyone in the club swore allegiance to him.
He might be ready to sign off elsewhere if he tries to touch a single hair from this lady's head.
"You big bastard. Leave the lady alone," Cole growls out the warning once, before twisting his wrist, and pushing it away.
"But... but... she attacked me first," he says anger filling his body.
"No, she did not. Even if she did, leave her alone. You wouldn't raise a finger at her, if not, I will chop the entire arm off and feed my dogs with it," he threatens him.
Cole would normally play with his threats lightly, but he knows exactly when to make them know that he is not joking. Now is one of those rare times, and they better stick to respecting his orders and staying on their lanes because he bloodily has no right to push forth with the threats.
Leo grabbed his sprained wrist and looked at the young lady for a moment before he sighs, stepping backward.
Cole heaved a sigh before he throws his head to the lady's side, her eyes glued to the side of the door as if she was seeing someone that shouldn't be there.
Her face grew white and pale, and when he followed the direction of her eyes, he saw the big bad man by the door, he was in the shadows, in such a way that his presence was felt, even though he couldn't unravel who he was.
Cole knew he was dealing with another alpha, a strong one, his energy wasn't precise, but he wasn't going to get off like that.
Emily had been staring at Kane who didn't dare step out of the dark shadows, she had been focused on her task so much that when a pair of a strong hands cupped her arm for the second time that evening, she gasped, thinking Kane had caught her at last.
"Come with me, you need to act as normal as possible," Cole says taking several extra steps to the center of the club, where the music was getting louder.
Emily's heartbeat accelerated, she was scared, afraid of this man, and what he might possibly do to her.
"I have... to go," she mutters, taking several steps backward.
Cole's strong pair of arms snake around her, keeping her in place.
"If you want your stalker to leave you, then you must do as I say," Cole grinds out to her, making his point known.
"No, I will not take others from you, I take others from no one, not even my father," Emily grits out.
Confusion clouded Alpha Cole's forehead. This lady is a ball of mystery, and if he knows what is good for him, he shouldn't get involved with her, he shouldn't even be anywhere close to her, but he seems attracted to the negative energy.
"Is it your father then you are running from?" he asks sharply, his words cutting through her.
Alpha Sinclair's death comes rushing to her mind's eyes. How his gushing blood filled the air, how he sank to the ground, her body shivered.
She shouldn't be here, she should not be with another man. The pain on her side throbbed, she was starting to feel the pain more than she can imagine, and it got her frustrated.
"I have to go," she says stumbling forward, she fails to keep her balance and starts digging herself into the ground.
The young man's arms come around her waist, fitting ever so perfectly on her arm, as he pushes her to his broad chest.
When she sniffed his scent, it was filled with this manly aura, fresh lemon scent coated his body, and some kind of violet mixed.
Emily felt his power, she knew he was an alpha too, but she knew her instincts warned her to not trust another alpha. She was on the run from one of the most powerful alphas in her clan.
When he spun her around, forcing her to look at him, his voice was rough when he spoke to her.
"No, you wouldn't leave, not like that, first, you have to trust me, I will get you protected, and out of here in no time, keeping your stalker feet away from you," he says gently.
Not quite what she wants to hear but this seems like a positive step, the only real one to get to her brain.
"What do I owe a stranger like you for helping me?" she asks in fear.
Cole could read that fear in her eyes, now wasn't the time to scare her off, she looks so vulnerable.
"A 'Thank You' will do," he shoots out to her.
The young lady didn't have time on her side, she might be homeless and stranded by sunrise, but at least, she will be a strong woman, she wouldn't have Kane on her back wanting to kidnap her.
"Deal!" she says weakly.
The soft smile that sprawls the corners of Cole's lips makes it difficult to concentrate.
