Number 2

I covered my face with my small fists as he raised his hand yelled as I sat up in bed, my body drenched in perspiration, "I didn't do anything!" My spine tingled as I trembled in terror.

It was only a nightmare, and ever since that day, I've been having similar dreams. Each time was distinct.

I finally turned off my alarm at five o'clock and got out of bed to perform my morning ritual. I got dressed and started making breakfast downstairs.

Everyone, bar me, will awaken shortly to work or school. I had to learn independence because I was not permitted to attend school. Whenever I had the chance, I would visit the library and read books to educate myself.

If you're curious, I had to teach myself how to read. Living among those who regarded you with hatred and loathing was difficult, but I managed,

I finally turned off my alarm at five o'clock and got out of bed to perform my morning ritual room was far from everyone else in the attic. Even if it wasn't much, it was all mine. Regarding clothing, I would hurry through everyone's trash and snag any discarded garments.

Yes, my life was beautiful.

I prepared toast, eggs, and bacon for everyone. I never complained even though sometimes there wasn't much left to eat.

One of the kids who stayed at the pack home, Elena, yelled, "Clean that up."

She had purposefully spilled some juice on the ground. I snatched a mop and wiped the mess away. She then started spilling in another place. I cleaned things up, and I am not complaining at this point.

If you didn't already guess, she was incredibly popular and cruel. She consistently achieved her goals. She was the same way to everyone; it wasn't just me doing it. She believed she was entitled to these benefits because she was dating the alpha's son.

She threw the drink at me and said the word "pathetic."

Do you know what I did after that?

Naturally, I cleaned up the mess without grumbling. I didn't want to change until I cleaned the kitchen, even though my clothes were now sticking to me.

I cleaned up and retired to my room after everyone had finished breakfast. I quickly showered before changing into old, baggy jeans, a shirt, and worn-out Converse. I made my way to the library with my cross bun of dark brown hair that hung down to my hips.

I sat in the library's rear section, away from everyone's prying eyes. I picked up a book and started to read.

Sometimes, this was how my day went. Until I heard a chair scrape across the floor in front of me, I sat motionless away from everyone. I looked up, then quickly returned my gaze to the book I was reading.

My brother's close friend Ray was standing in front of me. Since I can remember, I've had a crush on him. He had silver eyes, a straight nose, a square jawline, and sandy blonde hair. Girls flocked to him all the time because he was so attractive.

I pretended to read while attempting to hold back the flush trying to emerge.

What are you reading, he enquired.

I looked up and around to check with whom he was conversing.

He laughed again and said, "Yeah, I'm talking to you.

I mumbled, "Shakespeare."

"Cool"

He replied, leaning forward and laying his palms on the table, "So I hear that tomorrow is your birthday.

I stumbled, a little startled by the proximity and the fact that he was speaking to me.

What are your plans for tomorrow, then?

"No-nothing"

He proposed, "How about I take you out on a date."

I blushed and pushed back a few stray hairs behind my ear, saying, "I don't know."

"Go ahead. Go out with me," Ray said, grinning hysterically.

Sure, I mumbled, hesitant.

I then overheard laughter from my neighbor. I focused on the source and observed a person holding a phone and several of his friends looking at the phone he was holding, and they were all laughing out loud.

Immediately I raised my head and saw Ray pretending to be laughing from the inside.

To him, it felt like a big joke; I was a joke by them all.

It was just written all over his face. Can you imagine me going out with such a loser like you? He said with a smirk, mocking me.

I quietly picked up my stuff with a few stray tears escaping my eyes, rushing out of the library; I felt humiliated. Their laughter got louder as I ran out of there.

Trigger Warning From Marina

Happy Birthday to me, I mockingly wished myself.

My Birthday was not a joyous occasion. Another reminder that I got to live and my mother didn't serve its purpose. I had nobody with whom to celebrate. I had no family or friends. I was just a girl living in a park, surrounded by strangers who had no interest in me.

My life was miserable and pitiful. My life was in such a shambles. I felt hollow and lifeless inside as if nothing was left for me. He treated me like a loser when I thought I had finally found someone to love me. I was so damaged.

I've occasionally thought that I don't deserve to be alive. If Natasha were here, my mother would reassure me that it wasn't my fault. It never seemed to help me feel any less guilty, no matter how many times I tried to tell myself that it wasn't my responsibility because I wasn't the one who killed her.

I shrugged off my melancholy ideas and focused on something upbeat.

I took a look around the painful area I was in. I had a bed that was raised up in a room corner. The absence of recent painting had left the walls peeling. I had a full-length mirror on one side, and crates held my clothing.

Aside from the clutter everyone else had put up here and occasionally crept out at night, and I had nothing else. Since most of the items up here didn't require storage, they did it on purpose.

I took a shower in one of the shared restrooms with everyone else. I always made an effort to utilize it when nobody was around.

My life stinks.

I got out of bed and went about my routine day. Everyone was present because it was Saturday today. I hastily fixed breakfast and then swept the house. I do mean the entire house when I say that. I had to clean every room, which was difficult for me because they were watching me.

Finally, I finished all of my responsibilities. I didn't have anything planned for dinner, so I had the rest of the day to myself.

I had my head down and carefully avoided eye contact with anyone as I returned to my room. As I was ready to leave Benjamin's room, I heard someone utter my name.

I stopped outside his door, which was slightly ajar, to hear what they were saying. I approached the door and paid close attention. I was aware that listening in on conversations was impolite, but I also wanted to know what they were saying about me.

I overheard Ray remark, "I'm going to fuck her tonight, and after I'm done, she's all yours."

Another voice adds, "I don't mind tapping that ass."

Someone said, "We could make this even more intriguing, and each have our time with her at once."

You watch way too much porn, a laughing other voice added.

The previous voice said, "Let a dude live out his dreams."

Unbelievably, a voice asked, "Your dream is to have a gangbang with one female and all your buddies.

"I fail to understand why the hell not? "he chuckled. Another person said, "It might be fun."

Guys, calm down. Everyone will have a turn, Ray assured.

Ray continued, laughing, "if she doesn't give in willingly, then we'll have to take what we want."

When I discovered what they had in mind, I covered my mouth in disbelief. They had all along planned to eat with me. I knew that neither one nor all of them could be defeated at once.

I wasn't just going to allow them to remove the only valuable possession I still had. I was keeping myself for when I found my partner. I wasn't going to observe passively.

'Ray asked Benjamin, "Are you okay with this?" briefly afterward.

Are you kidding me, I say? My mother's death is a direct result of that b*tch. Benjamin responded, "I don't give a fuck what you guys want to do with her.

I last heard "Good" as I started to leave.

I went to my room and took a used duffel bag. I was no longer able to remain here. Not that I haven't been living alone for a very long time now, but I was old enough to be on my own. Even though I lived in a house with many people, I was alone.

I chose to travel light and only brought what I needed.

I decided to pack light things so I could move more quickly and threw in only the needed goods. I tucked the luggage under my bed and decided to wait until evening to go discreetly without anyone seeing me.
