Chapter 3 Crashed in front of a stranger's car.

"Eldora!" A hard slap went across her white pale cheek and made her cheek turn red.

Touching her cheek Bellona tried to cover up her tears as she kept her attitude up looking strong.

But she was yet to excavate the truth, her mom slapped her on the other cheek the second time. This time Bellona fell on the ground. She couldn't help hiding her tears anymore.

"Mom?"

"You shameless girl! How dare you shout at your sister? After killing your father, do you think you still deserve to talk out loud?" Ellie looked at her angrily.

Bellona was not given any chance to do anything. Her mom started throwing her belongings out as if she was some pet or maybe even worse than an animal.

"Mom, please. Where will I go this late night? Please let me stay here..." Bellona begged her mom again but without any mercy, one by one all her belongings were thrown out of the house.

Ellie pointed her finger towards her and shouted at her, "Go to hell! That's where you should go. You are a murderer! You have killed your father. From now on, I have only one daughter and that's Eldora. We will live here. You are no longer my daughter, never come back here again!" With that, Ellie went inside and closed the door.

No relatives, no friends, where could she go? Bellona ran to the door and knocked, "Mom, please. Let me see papa... I want to see him, please let me stay. Please, mom..." But nobody opened the door for her. Why was fate so cruel to her? Why was her father taken away from her?

Her father was her everything and now, she was thrown out on the road. She was not given any chance to see her dad either... How cruel!

The sound of thunderstorms got her, she looked terrified. Everything passed so fast, her happiness always lasted a short period.

"Mom, please let me in. Don't kick me out... I am scared, mom..." Bellona knocked at the door again. She didn't know why her mom hated her so much since she was born... Another thunderstorm and she shivered in fear. Up until yesterday, her dad was the person who always was there for her, protecting her but now? Nobody. She had nowhere to go and her only family didn't care for her.

Well, it was supposed to be. Wasn't it? Since her childhood her mom left the house, so how could she expect her to have any caring for her?

Bellona glared at the clothes on the ground. Kneeling, she touched one of the dresses that was given by her father. "She was lying. I miss you, papa." A drop of tears escaped her emerald green eyes.

She started collecting all the clothes that were on the ground when suddenly a cat and a rabbit ran to her. "Charlie, Pumpkin..." Bellona took them in her lap quickly and hugged them. At least she had her pets.

Fate was not cruel to her, it had to be raining. Getting all the clothes in her luggage immediately, Bellona took her pets in her lap and started walking in search of a shelter.

Now, a shelter was all she needed but damn, she could not find any. She did not have a car, not even a cell phone, where could she go? Whom could she contact?

"Mama is sorry, you guys have to get soaked in the rain with me..." Even after walking for ten minutes, she could not come across a shelter.

Along with her, her pets were suffering in the rain too. Her mom and sister didn't even care to give her food, at least for her pets. They were so cruel that just the day the only person who used to protect Bellona left, they kicked her out without any mercy.

Suddenly seeing a jungle of wild grasses, Bellona looked at the shrubs. There was a tree with a big leaf but it seemed to be a short tree and a rather weak one. It was in the middle of the field as if it was the king of the forest with a big head.

"You two stay here, I will go and get a leaf for us." Stopping at a nearby place she put Charlie and pumpkin on her luggage then she ran to get the big leaf.

Suddenly the rain started getting heavier. Bellona looked up and saw the black clouds shadow the sky. There were no stars in the sky. 'Seems it's going to rain more. What can I do?' Bellona let out a sigh of resentment.

Getting a leaf, Bellona turned to go to her pets. But as she looked in the direction she saw Charlie missing, she quickly ran to her luggage.

She looked around but started searching for Charlie. "Where is Charlie?" Taking pumpkin in her lap Bellona started searching for her missing pet.

In the heavy rain, she was still searching for Charlie. When she was standing on the opposite side of the road, she saw Charlie standing at a place. "Charlie." She could not be so happy and ran to cross the road to go to her pet.

She was so excited that she did not wait for the signal. Suddenly as the light of a car coming towards her flashed on her, Bellona felt her legs paralyzed. She could not move.

She could see the car reaching her but she couldn't do anything. In the blink of an eye, everything turned upside down.

With heavy breathing, she could see the world with her half-opened eyes. She could see the city she grew up in still raining. Her world was getting lost in darkness, she could not move at all. Lying flat on the street she tried looking around to see if she could see her pets but she did not have any energy.

Her world drowned in darkness as her eyes were closed. But in her subconscious mind, she could hear a familiar voice calling her name.

"Bella! Bella! Bella!" No, that voice... It was impossible, she knew. She was not in a situation to know if she was dreaming or it was really what she heard.

Her hand fell on her chest lifelessly when she breathed out the last air from her lungs.

"Excuse me! Miss? Can you hear me?" The driver who was driving the car tried to check if she was breathing.

"Sir, she is not breathing." Checking Bellona was not breathing at all, the driver informed his boss who was sitting in the car.

Hearing him, the man inside the car came out. He shot a glance at her and then he took her in his arms and said, "To the city hospital."

"Yes, sir."
