Chapter 4
Another scene appeared in her dream.
"Where are you here? Oh... you thought you could leave without a word and come back for me to accept you, just like that." Carina said.
"Am sorry for my actions."
"That's what you keep on saying, am sorry..." Carina rubbed her temple. "Please just go, what we shared then was special but you left me when the romance was on fire. It's over between us, just go. Leave like how you left me then."
"You say it, but you don't mean it. You don't sound convincing." He said, taking a deep breath. "Okay, if you truly want me to leave, just say it one more time and I will leave."
Carina fought the tears in her eyes, before she could say a word, the tears ran down.
He reached out and touched her cheek. Tenderly but with infinite strength.
She held still, "Go." She said softly.
Just then, as he was leaving, he turned back to look at her one more time, to his utmost surprise, she saw her collapsing. "Carina!"
She opened her eyes, beholding his face. When she turned away from him, she noticed she was in new surroundings.
"You're in a hospital. You weren't feeling fine."
"Thanks," Carina said.
"I will be staying with you for the next few days until you get better."
"I don't want you to."
"But I choose to."
"Why?" Carina asked, arching a brow.
"Because I love you, I have never stopped and I will never stop. I love you so much that the word love isn't enough."
"You told me you loved me before and you left, do lovers leave the ones they claim to love?"
"I know I did you wrong and I will never stop apologizing if that will make up for it. I know you feel something for me too, you still love me, please... just forget the past and let's focus on the present that is our love."
"I don't feel anything for you anymore."
She smiled. "We both know it's a lie."
Carina woke up. Her head arched from the liquor, and her eyes, still dozy. "Romance, ro -" She soliloquized and fell back to sleep.
Another scene sets in - A cool breeze blew past them as they stood outside.
"I feel better now, thanks for being with me the whole time but you have to g-"
Before she could complete the sentence go, he silenced her with his mouth. His lips crushing against hers, it was a slow kiss at first, and then it got deeper as she matched with his force.
Carina parted her lips but his tongue seemed entrance, delving into the contours of her mouth. Their tongues mated for a while. She was enjoying the kiss so much she couldn't break out but wanted more. She moaned as the spark of pleasure thrilled her.
In the branches above, a bird burst into song to show mother nature enjoying their romance. The bird sang forth even louder as he broke the kiss to trail his tongue down her jaw and neck. Sensual and sloppy kisses.
Her full breasts pressed against her top. Her nipples stood out, erect, and he knew it was arching for his hands, his mouth.
The breeze stirred the leaves, bringing with it the sweet scent of flowers. They breathed in its delight as his mouth found her once again, she responded to this thrilling pleasure by curving her fingers around his shoulders, digging at him with her nails.
He cupped her breast with hands, moulding, and caressing.
In the magic of the moment, Carina arched into his hands, wanting more, needing everything.
He trialled another kiss on her neck. Her heart stopped beating for a minute and she froze when he reached her collarbone.
He tasted her on the neck as she bit back a moan. He moved a hand lower, over her ribcage, her abdomen, to the apex of her thighs, curving his fingers around her. A soft sigh of pleasure slipped from her lips, mingling with the sultry sounds of the evening, she couldn't help but cry out with pleasure as he kept on nipping and exploring.
He planted yet another kiss on her lips. He did it slowly. Before he could even reach her lips, he felt her nipples graze against his chest. Her body tensed up immediately. Then their lips connected. Carina's mouth was soft and warm.
The kissing became more passionate as they realized the degree to which they could touch and explore each other's bodies. They groped each other, blindly but tenderly. A potent, explosive sexual energy that they never felt before. It burned inside them like a fire.
Carina enjoyed the moment and never wanted it to end, but then, the hurt of him going away hit her. She caught herself in this pure romance and pulled her away from him. "Just go, please..."
He respected her word and left, without turning back to look at her.
Carina woke up with a headache. A stinging pain hitting her head. She couldn't remember anything that happened after drinking the liquor, but a part of her knew she played a part in a good romance book she should write.
