Chapter 5
"What are you doing?" a deep masculine husky voice asked that went shivers down her spine. Slowly she turns her head and there she saw a drop-dead gorgeous man he had never seen her entire life even though he is wearing his mask, she could just want to develop it in her brain and stay it there, no she is getting insane.
"Prince Hades," Xevy bow his head, and Ysabella did too.
"You're dismissed Xevy, I need to talk to her," he said and Xevy immediately obeyed and leave them. Ysabella felt the silence as Xevy was now nowhere in sight, they were just the two of them again.
The sunshine has warmth in its brilliance, reflecting a shimmer from the ends of her lashes, deep brown though they are. She had a kind of understated beauty, perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of how she is attractive.
He shakes his head for thinking such a thing, that was not in his plans to think. This woman annoys him a lot, in his mind.
"Having soldiers and visitors here are not allowed to talk and at the same time laugh with each other's conversation because it might give others a wrong comprehension Milady, if and only if you could if it is much important," he coldly said making her fumed, he had no rights for him to tell her who she will talk to or laugh with.
"With dear respect, my prince but I don't see any reason not to talk to him, I am just being friendly and I want to have friends, I don't want to sit there and do nothing and talk to thin air, it will make me crazy," she answered, she was holding her smile for she doesn't want to look as if she is joking around.
"There are a lot of things to do in here Milady so you will not get bored by yourself, I guess you have read the letter that has sent to you by your parents huh," he said looking straight through her eyes.
"I don't want to be ordered," she completely blurted out the words that want to escape from her mouth and now she was completely losing her breath as she can see his eyes went darker.
Hades had a lot to be expected to her, she was a dauntless, daring, bold woman he had ever met, and maybe that is he is attracted to her.
'Drawn? No, I am not,' he thought battling the conversation in his mind.
Flashback
"You shouldn't be attracted to her Helios," he muttered filling his glass with his chosen wine.
"You should be telling that to yourself Hades not me," he answered and drink till the last drop of liquor in his glass.
"You are the one who's giving me the meaning Helios."
"What meaning?"
"You're looking at her without her noticing, you're prying her privacy and you think I don't know?"
"Very observant huh, you're the one whos stalking, look you're stalking me now. You're making me cringe you know," he said and pour again a wine in his glass.
"I'm only doing this so we can catch Knight, I don't plan using some kind of innocent woman you know me but how can I be such a word in this kingdom if I don't do that, how can I fulfill my duties. Every person living in this world should decide for the whole body even though it takes someone to be a bait," he coldly said and play the rim of his glass and tossed it in his mouth the remaining wine.
As interesting as the room is, as aesthetically pleasant the four walls of this place maybe, as commodious as this structure is, it has brave them to the point of dread.
Unfortunately, that was not the case.
"Are you afraid?" Helos asked and Hades came into silence.
"Why do you ask?" he finally answered giving a sighed.
"You shouldn't be afraid that is why you have a mask, to hid yourself from the fear," Helios said and again pour wine in his glass, he needs to drink, he badly needed a drowsy sleep to forget the beautiful face of her. He strangely shakes his head and grunt in pain, bad decision to do he thinks the wine is already kicking.
'Why am I thinking of you damn you,' he thought and winced in pain, he holds his temples and gently massages it.
"The emptiness is always there, I consider myself decent at hiding it, masking it with normal human emotions, masking it with this thing. I'm tired of hiding Helios. There isn't any getting away from it," there was sadness in Hades' eyes as Helios can see but maybe it was just the alcohol that is now draining him.
"Your decision is still the law in here Hades, you're the king and I am just your decoy so just tell me what to do and I'll do it for you," he said completely losing his self, good thing they were just the two of them talking and they are in their private room and if not Hades would surely kick his throat.
"You're in my roof and you'll follow what I say," he bit his tongue he almost forgets that he was just the prince himself and not the king and he hoped she wouldn't notice it.
The breeze carries fine drops, each one a promise of the rain to come. As newly chilled air moves the clouds, streaks of brilliance breakthrough from a patient sun. It was just a sunny day earlier and within just a second the sky slowly composed of heavy dark clouds.
He let his eyes rest for a moment, feeling the ambiance of the surroundings not caring if she sees him in that way, this is how he is, hearing the sounds, taking in the aroma, letting his brain be still.
'Yes please get her nerves out of me,' he thought.
And when he opened his eyes he saw her looking at directly into his eyes, those seeking eyes, it was like hypnotizing him to be still and just let the raindrops soaked his skin, he didn't realize they were now too far away from the palace.
This breeze has a way of moving her hair and pinked her cheeks.
"Did someone already told you that you're beautiful?" he asked and he just sees himself in a total black out.
