THE NEXT DAY

THE NEXT DAY

Aja woke up to the usual nightmare while Nikita tried to soothe her through the panic she experienced every time. It would take a couple of minutes to remember she was no longer back there and that she was safe now.

“It's okay, we are okay” she repeated out loud until her breathing went back to normal.

It was still a bit dark out when she woke up which means it was probably around 5 am, she was feeling hungry again so she decided to go out for a hunt and clear her mind.

As she ran through the woods something felt different like she had eyes on her. She stopped standing very still, while she smelled the air to get a feel of her surroundings. She focused on her hearing trying to listen to anything out of the ordinary. She stood this way until she realized she could hear a heartbeat quickly approaching her. Aja suddenly started to panic while Nikita ran as fast as she could away from whoever it was. Her blood ran cold as she realized there were multiple heartbeats and they were all following her, Nikita ran faster.

‘Were did they come from!’

Images of her past started to replay in her mind making Nikita whimper in fear, she tried to take a run in a different direction trying to lose them.

She could smell them, it was a werewolf, and as she changed directions she quickly caught the scent of another one approaching her from up ahead.

‘No no no, werewolves!’

They were quickly gaining on her, she had no were to run as they were surrounding her. The one behind her suddenly stopped and let out a low menacing growl.

Nikita whimperedthe growl, it was an aplha coman

Aja saw the wolves around her all growling at her as they got closer, she turned around to face the Alpha. She slowly looked up to find herself face-to-face with the biggest wolf she has ever seen. His fur was completely black, it’s shine was mesmerizing. His eyes were silver and cold, she felt like they were staring into her soul. Aja could not move she was so petrified, she didn’t want to be caught but was surrounded. Aja took a step back and the wolf in front of her growled in response, it was a warning not to move. If she ran, she knew they would hunt her down but if she stayed they were going to hurt her anyways.

‘I have to get out of here!’

As the wolves inched closer to her, she tried to think of a way to get away from them.

‘How!’ she thought ‘how? think...Nikita?’

“I don’t know, there are too many of them!!!” Nikita whimpered. Aja could hear the fear in her voice, which did not help her calm down.

The Alpha got closer and shifted in front of her, in place of the wolf stood a tall lean muscular man he had to be at least 6”3 he had a tattoo on his arm, one by his hip bone, another on his chest, and a six-pack.. His skin was a rich dark brown and his black hair lay on his shoulders in dreads. She quickly looked down not wanting to look into his eyes and found herself staring directly at his manhood. She quickly looked away, his nakedness made her gag in disgust.

“Shift!” his voice boomed over the forest. His voice was deep and low, it made her tremble in fear.

She had to escape somehow, she looked around

‘Maybe I could get through the wolves behind me if I’m quick enough

“I said shift!!!” he growled again, the wolves around her growled at her too.

But she couldn’t shift, if she did it was over for her, and she would be again trapped and tortured. She needed to find a way out. She quickly lowered her head pretending she was being submissive. After a moment passed she jumped over the wolf on her right and started running as fast as she could. She heard growling behind her but she didn’t look back; she had to keep looking forward and running. She couldn’t stop ever, not until she was far, far away from them. She suddenly felt something sharp crunch down on her right leg, Nikita howled in pain but another feeling she couldn’t explain accompanied that pain. She tried to get out of the wolf’s hold but he just crunched down harder, as she fell forward he fell on top of her. Being bitten and then feeling the full weight of a large wolf on top of her was too much, the pain caused her to lose consciousness.

The last thing she remembered was thinking ‘finally I’ll see my parents now’ as she passed out.
