Chapter 6

Grandma was dog eating so susan walked downstairs and was shocked to see the grandma was no longer there.

THE NEXT MORNING******

"Ma please wake up." Susan woke grandma up before 4am. The grandma woke up and rubbed her eyes. She was shocked Susan could wake up earlier than her, and she was happy because it's obvious Susan is a fast learner.

The old woman stood up from the bed, "I would like to brush my teeth and take my bath before eating." The grandma said.

"Okay ma." Susan said and dropped the food on the table. Susan went to the kitchen to do the dishes.

A few minutes later the old woman came downstairs , "I can't eat that food, it 's cold." She said, frowning her face.

"Okay I will put it in the oven now." Susan tried convincing the old woman.

"No, I don't want to eat it again."

"Why Grandma?" Susan asked, confused.

"Just prepare another breakfast for me." The grandma said.

"Okay ma." Susan replied.

Susan went upstairs to take the food the elderly woman rejected and took it to the kitchen.

"Please be quick with what you are doing. I'm hungry." Grandma said angrily.

"I'm Sorry ma, I will soon be done." The old woman glared at susan.

A few minutes later Susan was done preparing the food. She dished the food and served her.

"Your food is ready ma."

"You can leave." Grandma said to Susan angrily.

Susan went to the kitchen to take her food, she has not eaten since morning. She took her food and went to the room.

After she was eating she dropped the plate and decided to take a nap for a few minutes.

Susan was sleeping when the elderly woman came to her room, "why are you sleeping?" Grandma yelled.

Susan was sleeping so deep that she could not hear the elderly woman. The elderly woman moved closer to her and tapped her.

Susan stood up shocked, "I'm sorry." Susan said.

"Why are you sleeping?" Grandma asked.

"I just wanted to rest." Susan replied.

"Did you come to my house to sleep?" The elders woman said.

"No ma I was just a little tired, I can do anything you want." Susan said.

"Get up and prepare what I will eat." Grandma said and left the room.

"Okay ma." Susan said.

Susan stood up from the bed, took the plate she used to eat and went downstairs.

The grandma did not carry her plate to the kitchen, Susan carried the plate and went to the kitchen.

Susan prepared lunch for the elderly woman and gave it to her.

Susan was so stressed and tired, "Why is this woman treating me like this.?She should at least treat me right because of my condition." Susan muttered to herself.

Susan went to the elderly woman's room, she took all her dirty clothes. She arranged the room and took the dirty clothes downstairs.

"I'm going to my room." Grandma said but Susan did not reply. Grandma went to her room, "susan, susan." She yelled.

"Ma." Susan replied.

"Come to my room now!" The elderly yelled.

"Okay ma." Susan said and ran to the room.

"What is wrong ?" Susan asked curiously.

"Why did you change the position of all my things?" The grandma said.

"I arranged the room and decided to change some things." susan said

"Did I ask you to do that?" Grandma asked.

"I'm sorry." Susan apologized immediately.

"You should have asked me before doing it." Grandma yelled.

"I'm sorry." Susan apologized.

"Sorry won't help, put everything in their rightful position!" Grandma yelled

"I can't remember their position." Susan said.

"I will show you." The grandma said.

"I will do that when I'm done with the laundry." Susan said.

"No, I can't stay in this ro if it is not arranged." The grandma said angrily.

"You can stay in the sitting room. I will arrange it when I'm done." Susan pleaded.

"Arrange it now!"

"Okay I will do it." Susan replied immediately.

Susan started arranging everything, "no don't put it there, put it here." The elders woman ordered.

Susan was tired but she had no choice, where she would go if she left the elderly woman's house.

Susan was done with the laundry. She quickly ran to the kitchen to prepare dinner and got to the elderly woman.

The elders woman was sleeping. "I'm so glad she is sleeping, when she wakes up she will start with her trouble." Susan said to herself.

She stood up and checked the food she was cooking, when she heard someone footsteps, susan looked back and saw the elderly woman.

"Oh my God she has woken up." Susan said to herself.

"Are you just preparing dinner?" The elderly woman asked.

"No ma it will soon be ready." Susan replied.

"Be fast, I'm hungry." The grandma said.

"Just go to the dining table and wait, I will serve your food now." Susan said.

The grandma sighed and went to bed in the sitting room.

'Katherine isn't in the room. She made for the borders, if you send the guards to get her, they can catch up still." I pushed myself off the shards, while avoiding eye contact with susan.

'So you let the omega escape?" susan tilted her head at a disturbing angle as she glared at me.

'I didn't let her escape, she just managed to slip pass through me." I growled at susan as I pulled the shards of glass from my hands and clothes.

'I love you brother but this baffles even me. How in heaven's name did a little omega get past you! She's just an omega!" susan raised her tone from her usual proud low tone.

'I don't know Mel! She took me by surprise! So please, if you're done, get the guards and let them go after her!" I barked at susan but she didn't flinch. She just rolled her eyes and gave me her signature death look and returned to her deadly low tone.

'I love you and I would do anything for you but, this is your mess. You fix it." susan smiled at me. She was enjoying this.

'Get out of my room susan." I growled, my head bent, trying to control my anger and not start a fight.

'You're going to have to speak louder than that dear brother. I can't hear you if you're busy sulking with your head bent. 'susan said a chirpy, nice voice like a princess fairy.

'Get out! susan!" I barked even louder. The smile on susan's face vanished and she had her death glare on.

'Father still demands your presence in the training room." susan said before she turned on her heels and walked away. Leaving me to my silence and frustration.

'I would kill Katherine, even if it's the last thing I do." I said under my breath and headed to the training room.

"You should be done now." The elderly woman said

"I'm coming ma." Susan replied.

A few minutes later, Susan was done cooking and she served. She brought the food from the kitchen and served her.

Susan went to the kitchen to eat her food, she didn't want the grandma to complain.

"I need a cup of juice." Grandma said.

"Okay ma." Susan replied. Susan went to the fridge to get the juice.

She served the juice and went back to the kitchen.

Grandma touched the juice."It is too cold, please take it back." Grandma ma said.

Susan breathed out before she replied"okay grandma." Susan said and went to carry the juice.

Grandma was done eating, she washed her hands and went to her room. Susan packed the plate to the kitchen.

Susan remembered when people served her and did everything she needed. She began to cry.

Susan wiped her tears and continued what she was doing. She cleaned the dishes everywhere so she won't have much tomorrow.

She went outside to pack the clothes, Susan took the clothes and went to the elderly woman's room.

Susan opened the room slowly, so the noise wouldn't wake the elderly woman. She folded the clothes and put them in the grandma's room.

When she was done she went downstairs to put off the light. She was on her way to the room when she slipped.

"Ouch!!" Susan screamed. Susan Stood up slowly from the floor.

"I can't let anything happen to my baby. I need to be careful." Susan muttered to herself.

Grandma heard the noise and rushed downstairs, "what is wrong?" Grandma asked.

"Nothing, I just slipped a bit . I'm okay now." Susan replied with a fake smile.

"I thought they were robbers." Grandma said.

"No grandma, nothing serious, just go back to your room and sleep." Susan said .

The grandma sighed and went back to her room.

"Good night." Susan said.

Susan went to the kitchen, she switched on the light, she took a glass of what and drank.

"All this will be over very soon." Susan said as she rubbed her stomach. " I can't tell her I'm pregnant now." Susan muttered to herself.

She opened the fridge and noticed some things are not in the house and she needs to go to the market.

She took a book and pen and started writing things she will need to buy when she goes to the market.

Susan took a cup of milk, switched off the light and went to her room.

"I don't think grandma is wicked, she should be acting like this because of her age." Susan muttered to herself.

Susan turned off the light but was still unable to fall asleep. She realized it's time she lived not just for herself but for her baby as well.

"What can I do now?" Susan asked herself confused.
