Chapter 5
Selena Jones
"We can't be mates. There's no way in hell I'll settle for a thing like you." He said as he started walking around me.
Andrew was pacing around me in a small circle. He was so close to me that I could smell the cologne he used along with the faint yet undeniable scent of lavender that plagued my senses since finding out he was my mate.
Then a thought came to me. He didn't want me and I sure as hell didn't want him either so what if I got him to reject me as his mate here and now? It was worth trying.
"Then reject me," I said, keeping my head down. I was hiding my expression from him for a reason. There was suddenly a gleam of hope in my eyes for the first time.
He stopped abruptly. Stephanie was still taking forever to get dressed while she watched what was happening with keen interest.
"Selena Jones of the Red Sentinel Pack, I, Stormy West, the future Alpha of the white moon pack, hereby reject you as my mate!" He said.
I looked up that minute with a grin on my face. Finally, I was free of the obnoxious bastard.
"Thank you for that."
I could see the disbelief on his face just a split second before it was quickly replaced by a smirk. He must have thought I would feel bad that I had been rejected by the future Alpha of their damned pack but the truth was that I didn't give two fucks about any of that. I was just so glad that I had finally gotten my freedom from him.
"Is that all?" I asked with a new sense of pride coming over me.
I was bare ass naked standing there in front of him as vulnerable as I can be but that wasn't going to stop me from standing up to the bully with my head held up high. I just had to be careful to do it as subtly as I can to avoid getting into too much trouble.
"Get out of here. You disgust me." He turned away heading into the bathroom to wash up.
I bowed just as I was meant to then pick up my clothes and wore them as fast as I could put my undies into my pocket. When I was done cleaning the toilet and washing up, I would surely get my undies back to their rightful position.
"Make sure to report back this evening for your punishment. Is that clear!" He yelled over the sound of the shower.
"Yes, sir," I responded, raising my voice just enough for him to hear it.
I was about to grab the mop and bucket to walk out when Stephanie jumped over the bed and closed the distance between us. I knew it was too good to be true for me to walk away from the room just like that without any final incident.
"Stay away from Andrew. He's mine." She whispered to me.
"Yes ma'am," I responded bowing.
I turned around with my pieces of equipment and left the chamber as fast as I could. I was glad for the opportunity to finally be free in the fresh air of the palace blowing over my skin.
It took me less than an hour to clean up the toilets all around the palace. I went back to my room fully exhausted and craving an amount of rest that would give my soul nothing but peace. I tore off my work clothes and walked into the shower installed in my empty cold room. I stayed longer than I would normally, making sure to allow the water to move over me in gentle little waves.
I got out and wore a fresh set of undies along with the afternoon uniform. I would wash the one I just got out of very well after completing my afternoon rounds. I would make sure to scrub every reminder of Andrew out from the fabrics while making sure I don't tear it in the process.
Anthony's house
"Any improvement on tracking the witness?" Anthony asked.
"Yes but not anymore." The professor replied.
"I don't understand." Anthony said.
"At first, her location was based within South Africa, but then everything disappeared from our track, which means that she is no more within Africa." The professor explained.
Anthony held his head frustrated.
"Keep on tracking her even if it will take years." Anthony said and walked out of the room to meet Nathaniel at the seating room, and he was there with a cup of wine on his left hand.
"The professor was able to track her location, but she suddenly moved and he lost all tracks of her." Anthony said.
"I think someone is helping her escape from all places, and that person is keeping her safe from you and your father's killers." Nathaniel replied.
"I also thought of that too, but I'm not planning on killing the witness, she is innocent so I won't kill her for any reason, I only need her help in finding my father's murderers and that's all, but who is keeping her safe?" Anthony asked.
"I don't know, but that person must be so kind hearted to take this risk, he is dealing with two most dangerous wolf lord on whom we have no evidence about, I heard that they have attacked her three times just to kill her, then bomb the market so she could suffocate and die, so the person keeping her safe is kind and has a courageous heart, I can't imagine myself taking that kind of risk for someone I barely know." Nathaniel exclaimed.
"I think so too, but I don't the internet professor to keep searching for her, all I need from her is for her to show me their faces so it can be easier for me, this revenge is more important to me than anything, I can't bare my father in the grave while them enjoying the world fresh air everyday alive, it's hurting me more that I still haven't done anything about it." Diego said.
"Let's just hope for a better improvement." Nathaniel said.
"I'm sure they can't hide forever." He added.
London
The next day.
The yummy scent of fresh baked pancakes woke Selena from sleep.
She stretched her body and opened her eyes to see Alpha Andrew holding a tray of plate and a cup of coffee.
"Good morning, pancakes specially made for you." Alpha Andrew said.
"Aww, thanks Ric, I thought I was dreaming, the aroma is mind blowing."
Selena replied.
"Get up, go wash your teeth then you can eat, I want to take you somewhere." Alpha Andrew said.
"Where?" Selena asked.
"It's supposed to be a surprise but I know you won't let it be, you will be curious to know." Alpha Andrew answered.
"Guess you already know, now I can't wait, where are we going?" Selena asked.
"To the company I'm working, I'm the manager there." Alpha Andrew answered.
"But why? I mean for what?" Selena asked.
"You will be working there with me don't worry, you don't need to worry about interviews or anything, I knew you are intelligent and I'm the manager, so consider yourself as one of my staffs."
Alpha Andrew said, she was quiet.
"I'm sorry if you think I'm making decisions for you, I just thought you will be happy about it, you can say no, it's fine by me." Alpha Andrew said quickly.
"No, is not what you are thinking, I'm just surprised and not able to believe the kind of person you are, why you are doing all this for me?" Selena asked.
"Because you are special, and I used to stay long at work, I don't want you bored and lonely all day at home, plus working will make you associate with a lot of workers there and you won't be scared of getting fit in London." Alpha Andrew replied.
"But what if...."
"Nothing will happen, I'm there to protect you from anyone that wants to look down on you, makes sure to dress well ma lady." Alpha Andrew said and she blushed.
"You are so kind, thank you so much and I won't let you down, I promise." Selena said.
"Stop thanking me already, I already told you times without numbers that you are very special to Alpha Andrew, and he will do anything for you." Alpha Andrew said and she smiled, her eyes getting wet.
"Okay, I forget to tell you that we don't have enough time for you to cry." He teased.
She rolled he eyes.
"That's even cuter." He said and she pushed him out of the room.
"I will go get ready, be a good boy and wait here." Selena said patting his hair.
"For real, I'm a boy?" He frowned.
"Maybe now that he rejected you, we won't have to feel that pain anytime he shoves his dick into another woman." my wolf said to me. She sounded just as glad as I was. I hoped the pain would be over along with the stupid scent of lavender associated with him.
I was just about to take a quick nap when the door to my room burst open as if a mighty demon had just come to claim my soul. I jerked up in a panic to see three soldiers rush in, along with them was Andrew's sister, Sandra.
Confusion appeared on my face. Why would Sandra burst into my room with soldiers? I was sure during our brief uneventful meeting in the morning I had been careful enough not to step out of line. So what exactly was going on here?
Behind them, Stephanie walked in taking her place beside Sandra with a half smirk hidden on her face.
"Tear the place apart boys. She stole my gold necklace from Andrew's chambers."
