Chapter 5 - Taking off the ring

After a peaceful night, Alice had returned to his normal self, prepared breakfast for himself and hurriedly drove to the office, after acquiring the project of Nicole Group yesterday, she had to prepare the information for the morning meeting.

She had to arrive a little earlier than the others to get things ready.

The sun had only just come up and she was already sitting in her seat. The information on the Nicole had already been compiled and she took it straight to the president's office.

Alice paused, but still took the information over and gently placed it in front of him. A slight commotion still woke him up, and she continued to look at him with an expressionless face.

He pinched his brow and sat upright, seemingly not having slept well, with a greenish-black tinge under his eyes.

"Here is the information on Nicole, please look over it." She spoke with him with a formulaic tone.

Tony glanced at it before saying coldly, "Get out."

Without saying a word, she turned to leave, but then she heard him say, "Make me a cup of coffee, no sugar and no milk."

Alice's steps paused and finally resumed as normal, except that the sound of her heels stomping on the ground was a little louder than usual.

A cup of coffee and a breakfast, as a subordinate one must be properly considerate of one's boss, and by the time she brought these things over, Tony had returned to his normal self, as if he hadn't been in this place all night.

When she brought the things, she naturally wanted to leave, but Tony suddenly stopped him again, "Wait a minute."

Alice looked back at him, "Is there anything else you want to order?"

He got up from his chair, weighed the breakfast and gave her a meaningful look, "Alice is really affectionate, he even knows exactly what I like."

Alice glanced at the breakfast and didn't say anything, having once helped him with the shopping, these were silently written down, but he didn't expect to be brought out at this time.

He walked around the desk to her and gently pinched her chin, forcing her gaze all the way to himself.

There was no emotion in her eyes, so clean that there was no trace of dust, like stardust, which left him a little stunned, and after a moment he released her again, his tone returning to calm, "Get out."

Alice also did not bother to pay attention to him this neurotic, turned to go out, once out of the door to look at their various speculation and contempt of the eyes, she paused, those people only to collect themselves and began to do their own things.

She was about to return to her office when Tony's secretary suddenly approached her with a serious face and even with some anger, and when she saw Alice, she said directly, "Please don't use the same thing you do with men outside on the president."

Alice was silent, the scene just now was kind of watched by them. She wasn't going to refute it, so she didn't make a sound either.

The secretary glanced up and down at her, her eyes suddenly nailed on her finger and asked with slight surprise, "You're married?"

Alice also looked down, the ring on her finger had not yet come off, so she took it off in front of her and smiled amiably, "No, just for fun."

Seeing how dry she was, he could say nothing, but grimly watch her dash away from the place.

The ring was lying in her pocket, and when she returned to the office, Alice took it off and threw it into the velvet box on her desk before continuing her work.

She was too busy to eat a bite of lunch until the afternoon, and then she had to prepare for the evening's social engagements. She pinched her brow with some annoyance, a sudden pang of nausea in her stomach.

Disregarding her image she quickly made her way to the bathroom, her stomach empty and all she felt was something warm coming out of her mouth and in the middle of her nose.

It was only when she slowed down that she saw the bright red blood being in it, and she froze for a second before coming to her senses.

Someone was talking outside and she subconsciously pretended that nothing was wrong, pressing the water tank down to flush the bright red mess down.

There was still sticky hot air in her nose, and she held her head up for a long moment before it eased up. The nosebleed had stopped, but her head was still a little dizzy.

Alice didn't know what had happened to her, and she felt a little out of sorts when she came out of the bathroom.

The uncomfortable feeling lingered around her, and she finally couldn't help but go to Tony's secretary to say hello and hastily pack her things to leave.

Tony came to the door after she left, and when he saw that no one was in her place, his face sank and he asked in a cold voice, "Where is she?"

The secretary at the back heard the anger in his words and answered carefully, "She just left on leave."

"Who gave you the authority to allow her to leave." Tony turned around to look at her, the coldness in his gaze was as if he wanted to freeze her alive.

The secretary gave a start, and although she didn't say anything more on the surface, she couldn't help but grumble in her heart. Tony gave a cold snort and left from the place with an angry face.
