Chapter 4

"Grandma...."

The five-year-old boy ran excitedly towards his grandmother, sitting relaxed on the sofa. He

stretched out his arms to code that he wanted to be hugged by his grandmother.

"Oh, my handsome grandson is home." His grandmother was enthusiastic, holding the grandson on her lap. "How was it at school? Is it fun?"

"No! Not fun!" replied the boy as he pursed his lips. "The teacher just told me to keep learning, and Andy didn't like it! Andy wants to play," he protested to the grandmother, complaining about everything that happened when he went to school earlier.

"If Andy continues to play, then when you are big, what will it be, honey? The task of a student is to learn so that they can be smart, right?" explained his grandmother, not forgetting to rub the grandson's brownish mane, trying to comfort him.

"It's true that your great-grandmother said, Andy. You must be diligent in learning to succeed and continue your great-grandmother's company." A man's voice was heard from the direction of the main door, joining the atmosphere in the living room.

"What are you talking about, Freddy? Andy's a kid, and you've talked about the company to him?" Madam Alexander interrupted, staring at her son with a disliking look.

"And one more thing, don't teach my grandson things he shouldn't know yet! I hope you understand what I mean." Her tone seemed full of emphasis.

"I did all that just to remind you, mom. So that you would never break your promise again."

"I remember, and I knew what I had to do. So don't try to teach me to make decisions because what I do is always right. You wouldn't know it was, Freddy!" Madam Alexander's tone began to rise, signaling her emotions were already on the top. "So, just do what you must and don't try to cross your limits!"

Madam Alexander lowered her grandson from the lap, then stood up and left the gripping-looking living room.

Her grandson, who didn't know anything, could only look at the departure of his great-grandmother, then turned towards the grandfather, who was still faithfully standing with an annoyed look.

"Grandpa, what's wrong with grandma? Grandma is angry, right? Why did grandpa make great-grandma angry?" Andy threw a barrage of questions at his grandfather. He was desperate to know what had happened to his great-grandmother.

Why did his great-grandmother suddenly leave, and why did his great-grandmother seem so angry after hearing his grandfather's words?

"Nothing, come here." Immediately Andy approached his grandfather after hearing the sentence.

Andy reached out, indicating if he wanted to be carried. The grandfather understood what his grandson meant and immediately took him on his back.

"Grandpa, you should immediately apologize to the great-grandma for making her angry. I don't like to see my great-grandma sad."

The boy pleaded with sparkling eyes looking like he was crying, but the wrinkles on both foreheads showed emotion.

"Okay-okay, later grandpa will apologize to my great-grandma. Grandpa claimed to be wrong." The grandfather finally made his little grandson relieved. "Now, let's meet your mother. She said she made a cake."

"Wow, really?" asked Andy enthusiastically, raising his hand and cheering with excitement. "Yeay, finally! I can eat the cake made by mom again."

Surprised because Andy released the handrail on his back, the grandfather immediately shouted worriedly.

"Andy, hold it! Don't let go of your hands! You will fall, and I will be the one whom your mom scolds."

"Sorry, grandpa. I'm delighted," he said, apologizing while accompanied by the typical laughter of a child.

His grandfather immediately went from the living room to the kitchen to meet Andy's mother.

Realizing there was someone else there, Andy's mother turned to check, and it turned out that her son had returned from school with his grandfather.

"Andy, you've come home from school? It just so happened that mommy just finished making the cake."

Andy's mom took her cake from the oven, arranged it on a plate, and gave it to her son.

When Andy wanted to take the cake off the plate, his mom said, "be careful, it's still hot, just took from the oven."

Andy nodded, then put the cake he had taken into his mouth with a single mouthful.

"How is it? Yummy?" asked the mother, asking for an assessment.

"Mom's cake never disappoints," he praised while continuing to chew the cake made by his mother.

"Thank God, Andy likes it. Actually, it's a surprise, but it turns out Andy came here."

"Actually, grandpa who—"

"Yes, it just so happened that Andy told me that he wanted to eat ice cream, so I brought him here."

Almost Andy would leak the secret if his grandfather did not interrupt his words quickly.

"Ah, that's how it seems. But, didn't Andy have promised mommy not to eat ice cream often."

"Yes, promise, so now Andy does not eat ice cream but eats cake made by mommy," he evasive. It ends with the typical laughter of a child.

Where could his mother be angry at this adorable son? But even so, she also had to be firm against him.

Every time Andy eats ice cream, afterward immediately coughs and has a fever. Doctors said that her son could not eat cold foods like ice cream and other cold foods.

But why is there ice cream in the kitchen? Yes, that must be what makes you wonder.

Just blame the father who over-indulged Andy. Andy's mom was afraid that her son would become a spoiled child who always depended on his parents.

Ah, maybe you think Andy's mom is too much. But that's the truth.

In fact, Andy had asked his father to buy an iPad for him because he saw friends at school playing with iPads during recess and looked very excited in his eyes.

Fortunately, the firm rejection from Andy's mom could make her son understand.

"All right, let's now change your clothes first. After that, continue to eat the cake," ordered Andy's mom, her hands outstretched to stroke her little son's brown mane.

"I want to change clothes with grandpa. Mommy, just rests later, tired. Mommy has made Andy a yummy cake."

"Yes, honey. After all, every day, mommy also cooks in the kitchen. Where maybe making cakes like this can be tiring? You're just so adorable," replied the mother, smiling at her son's sentences.

"Sorry if I'm presumptuous, sir. I wonder why you'd so much want to make Miss Lee part of your plan?"

"I don't know either, but..." Before returning to talk, the man hung his sentences for a moment, "I feel familiar with her. Maybe that's what made me choose her to join my cause."

"Are you going to tell all the plans to Miss Lee?"

"How long have you been working with me, Secretary Shine? How could you still not recognize my character?" The question demanded that, put to his secretary.

"Sorry, sir. I thought if you would tell her too, regardless of your nature. Because as you said earlier, you feel familiar with Miss Lee. It's possible that you can trust Miss Lee."

"None of that will change my way of thinking, secretary Shine. I'm just using her as a tool to accomplish my goals, nothing more."

The Master didn't need to repeat the remarks to make his secretary understand. Secretary Shine immediately understood what his Master was thinking. He also did not dare to argue or just give advice. If his Master had spoken briefly, it meant all his words had to be fulfilled.

"Yes, sir." Secretary Shine nodded. He was refocusing on his driving activities.

The red car ran at an average speed, leaving the engine sound at work.

No, the sound of that car engine is not as loud as you think. The car is expensive enough to make noises of motor vehicles in general.

There's even advanced technology in the car. You can ask to travel to any city, or it can pass even the country just by driving this car without the need to drive it.

Yes, this self-driving car can go up to 428 km/h in just 2.4 seconds.

So crazy, isn't it?

The car is a modification of the Hennessey Venom F5 engine and the body of the Tesla Model X.

Only the young Master of the Alexander family dared to modify a car like this.

Amid the silence of the atmosphere, the Master suddenly spoke again, "Secretary Shine, please take me to Mr. Smith's company. I need with him."

"All right, sir."

Silent for a moment, Secretary Shine remembered something and asked again, "then, for Miss Lee matter... what should I do next, sir?" he asked carefully, afraid to ignite the Master's emotions again.

"You don't have to worry. I'll take care of it myself. After you drop me off, go to the company and finish my work for tomorrow's meeting." The Master's orders were immediately fulfilled with a nod by his secretary.

Secretary Shine was a person who was very obedient to his superiors. He didn't even dare to make his own decision even though he had handed over the company's affairs. He was still waiting for a decision from his Master.

That's why he still works with the Alexander family, a well-known family in Canada. The owner's family of the second largest company in his country.
