Chapter 2

Jessicah Remington knew life was fair to her, she has parents that love her, and at twenty-three, she has a dream job in New York, an apartment worth living in and her best friend that clubs like a bitch.

Her bitch of course. But life hadn't being this challenged since she can remember.

"Sold!" is the only word she hears as she is being auctioned out for the weekend to a man she didn't choose to.

His black jet hair is slightly shaken, he had a set of emerald eyes, they burn into hers making her red gown that cuts across her mid high thighs very exposing.

She didn't want to wear this, but her friend Michelle had influenced her so badly.

She is dragged away to a room where she will have to meet her bidder. She will claw him. The young woman is tied down to a chair in a spare room upstairs, her mouth still gagged when her bidder walks in.

"Jessica Remington," he calls out chuckling happily.

The look on his face is that of one who has won some sort of lottery, it is sickening.

He peels off her duct tape to let her vent her mind out.

"Who are you?" she shoots out, tears falling down from her face.

"Harold Blackwood," he goes to untie her from the chair she is set on.

"I asked these fools to handle you with care, I wonder what the fuck had gotten into their heads," he says, his face contorted with annoyance.

Jessica lost her wits.

"Handle me with care? I was kidnap and sold on the spot, and no one said a think?" she asks standing to face her now buyer.

The young man hold's her chin with his hard hands, he stares at her intently, making sure she is staring at him.

"One million to purchase you? I fucking own you," he tells her.

Jessie spits on his face.

"Get yourself a puppet, asshole," she screams and starts walking for the door.

She is stopped by this man, he has his hand wrapped around her shoulder, and he pushes her immediately.

"We are living in five minutes," he informs her.

Understanding dawns on Jessie, this should be a really big misunderstanding, and whatever wasn't understood will cost her life, and her freedom.

"You must be joking, this is some sick joke and isn't even April fool's day," she yells at his face.

Harold tips his lips to the side of his mouth, revealing a crooked smile.

It is not funny, and that shit irritates Jessica.

"You can call it a joke but you are still mine," he mutters out to her firmly, walking out of the room and leaving her there.

Jessica slides down by the wall, crying down tears she hadn't known was bottled up in her since tonight.

**

Harold Blackwood knows this is wrong, but he doesn't care, he has been single for thirty years of his damn life and all he had to do was watch everyone have a mate while he only wished for it to be him.

He has built himself a strong pack, The Red Moon Pack stands out in the whole of Seattle, and moving back there shortly feels him with joy.

The moment he had felt her enter, he knew his name by his wolf instincts, it is the way he shows up to her that is crazy, he will need to work up with a plan and show her that he is worth keeping.

Jessie watches a security officer walk into her room holding the key to her cuffs, when he releases her, she sucks in a breathe, happy that she has been released.

She needs a plan, Harold Blackwood is nowhere to be found and the distance between running away and sticking with this man is so light, she needs to seize the chance the moment she has it.

"I can walk," she shouts at the man beside her.

He doesn't reply.

As he pushes her into the night air, leading her close to the big black car, the club is backing the woods, Jessie scared, but she wants this, she needs to try.

With all her strength, she raised her leg and stomps on the man's leg with her heels. When he shouts, she hits his face with her elbow, dashing out into the woods.

If she wants to escape, this is the only chance she has gotten.

She dashes into the forest, kicking off her heels to help her run. She has always been a bad athlete, her asthma and bad vision wouldn't let her train in peace, a lot of things could go wrong, but also, a lot of such crazy things can go right.

"Calm down, Jessie, and look forward," she tells herself running faster than she can support it.

"Alpha, the girl is gone," the officer says clutching his bloody nose with his hands.

Harold steps out of the car his face a hard blow go humanity.

"You must be kidding right? what do you mean by she is gone? we just got her," he tells him as he looks around.

"Alpha!" he says.

"Get all the men, start a search team, bring the lady back to me in one piece," he grinds out before taking off, walking towards the woods, making himself known.

His mate will pay for the trouble she has to go through just to claim her as his own. She must be worth it, if not, he will be so mad for even trying.

Jessie has only being on the run for one hour when she starts hearing footsteps behind her.

It seems like the wood are playing a trick on her, she has being running in circle with no clear way out, she hates it, and when she thinks she might be any luck, the wet earth makes her lost balance, throwing her off her feet, causing her to roll until she hits her rib on a sharp edge branch.

"Arghhh! help me please," she cries out in defeat.
