Chapter 2

iASHLYN'S P.O.V

I, Ashlyn Rachel Watson standing at the center of a building withholding the tears that have stopped in my eyes as I didn't want to pour them out here, I simply wanted to take several breaths not wanting to release those tears here.

She's heard that the handsome billionaire in town needed a baby, well, she didn't have one but could get pregnant for him, she heard from a friend that Blaze Campbell is ready to pay a wholesome to get himself an heir.

She was here to grant that wish for him, especially if he is being damn serious, she doesn't mind if it has to take her comfort, but then, this whole idea is a scam. At twenty-three, I was a hostess at a local club she worked thirty hours and worked extra hours to survive with very little pay.

When she heard from the club that Blaze seriously needed a lady to accomplish his heart desires, I decided to jump into the first cab and come down here, willing to see things for herself.

I live a normal life in New York City, she enjoyed being with her parents, and baby brother focusing on whatever life they wanted to leave but when the tragedy left her lurking in her, The Watson's traveled on a business trip leaving me and my baby brother orphans.

Asher is now five years old and loves me so much, her greatest fear was for the court to seize her baby brother away from her, because he might never have to grow up seeing his parents, and now, has to leave in foster homes. When her parents who had enough money to inherit from their mother forced her to sell the Blue shade estate to the first buyer which showed when and d to put it out for sale. Each time I think that she had been duped by the man who didn't give her the complete money, she feels so frustrated.

One thing is I need to leave, not for herself, then, for her baby brother, this is so important to him.

The slap the security guard had landed on her face was heavy, but one thing she wouldn't do is to cry, rather, she turned out begging for him to have mercy on her, that is important especially as he wanted to see Mr. Blaze.

"Miss, you have to leave this premises right now, I don't even know who gave you the right to come in here without any invitation, you filthy lady, you better leave before I call my colleagues to handle you right now," the security man blurted out.

He was a young man of about thirty-five years, looked shabby, and more like uncontented with his post.

"Please, Mr. guard, let me see your boss," I begged but there is no way that she could even wrap her mind around it.

She knew this is the only chance she has got, and the more her heartbeat accelerated, made issues even complicated because she was frightened of losing her brother to hunger. The money in her bank was very little to pay another month's rent and the landlord was getting to her throat already, she hated it so much, and the fear that gripped her was overwhelming because, I, like, might mightllosene-bedroom flat I ting with her roommate, Asher, and might lose him forever. Thinking about that made her shiver, that was crazy, her heartbeat had accelerated, and the fear in her heart made her want to face the man in front of her begging for peace.

"Mr..." I started but his voice trailed off when he watched the guard raise his hand to slap her.

This is because I am poorly dressed, only in a long plaited skirt and blouse. She wore sandals, but the soles of the shoes had come out. I felt so embarrassed, and as she is poor, that is the only reason why the guard will treat her like trash. I felt so sorry for herself that it made her want to burst out crying, but then, the slap had not reached her face, that was a new one and she got frightened that such a thing had not happened, and in fear, I opened my eyes to stare at the man In front of her, it was... the... man I was here to see.

'Blaze Lucas Campbell,' the name sounded in her head as she met the man's gaze, she shivered, and her eyes were filled with tears, she couldn't shed any form of tears right now because she did not want the young man to see me as a weakling, that will kill especially if the memory has to be carved in his mind for almost forever. The pain that she felt all over her body was more than she can face she had not seen Blaze appear from anywhere, it was more like a surprise to him, and she stared at the man in bewilderment.

Blaze grabbed the guard's arm as he didn't want him to hit her again.

"Don't you dare touch the lady, you are warned. I mean what the hell is wrong with you, especially with the way you just behaved to this lady, don't tell me this is how you treat clients that walk in here, if that is the case then I am so disappointed in," Blaze spat out in disgust as he threw the man's hand away.

The security officer had fear planted in his eyes, he had not seen that coming at all, he dreaded the fact that the lady had these things flying through her mind making sure that it is more like a problem or not. He feared for his job life, which is awkward, and he feared the fact that Blaze had seen him in action.

"I am sorry, Mr. Blaze, it was an accident, I promise, just that the lady looks shabby and unkempt, I thought her coming here was a mistake," the guard spat out. It made matters even more complicated for him.
