The Calling.
Isabel always felt like she was living in a different reality than those around her. Her family didn't understand her and often dismissed her as a strange, dreamy child who spent too much time lost in her own world. But Isabel knew that there was more to life than what met the eye. She could see the world in vibrant, vivid colors, and could sense the energy of the universe all around her.
From a young age, Isabel's gifts set her apart from her peers. While other children were content with playing with toys and games, Isabel was more interested in exploring the mysteries of the universe. She would often wander through the woods, talking to the trees and the animals that lived there, and feeling a deep connection to the earth and to nature.
Her unique appearance was already striking, with features that seemed almost otherworldly. She had long, curly golden hair that fell in perfect ringlets around her cherubic face, and bright, crystal-blue eyes that sparkled with an innocent curiosity. Her skin was a deep, golden brown, with a natural glow that hinted on at the radiant aura that surrounded her.
Despite her youth, Isabel carried herself with a certain grace and confidence that belied her age. She had an ethereal quality about her, as if she were a being from another realm. Her clothes were always adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant colors, which seemed to reflect the colors and energies that she saw in the world around her. She preferred long, flowing dresses that swirled around her ankles as she walked, giving her the appearance of a fairy or a sprite.
Her eyes however, were perhaps her most mesmerizing feature. They were large and round, with an innocence and wonder that was rare in one so young. When she looked at you, it was as if she could see into your very soul, with a gaze that was both intense and serene. Her eyes held a wisdom and a depth that was beyond her years, as if she had already lived many lifetimes.
Despite her beauty, Isabel never used her looks to gain attention or to impress others. Instead, she remained humble and grounded, always focused on her spiritual gifts and her connection to the universe. Her beauty was simply a reflection of the purity and light that shone within her, a reminder that there is magic and wonder in the world, even for a child.
Isabel grew up with an innate ability to perceive the world in a way that others could not. She saw vibrant colors that were invisible to everyone else, and felt energies that others could not detect. As a child, she talked to the trees and animals that lived in the lush forests surrounding her small town nestled in the heart of the mountains. Isabel felt an unbreakable connection to the natural world that surrounded her, a world that was filled with magic and wonder.
The air in the forest was always crisp and clean, and the sky was a deep shade of blue that seemed to stretch on forever. It was a place where anything was possible, where Isabel's imagination could roam free. She would spend hours wandering through the woods, talking to the trees, and feeling the energy that flowed through them.
As she grew older, Isabel realized that her ability to see the world in a unique way was a gift. But even then, she couldn't fully explain what she saw and felt. Colors that were vivid to her were invisible to others, and the energies that she perceived were impossible for others to detect. The forests remained her sanctuary, and the animals her confidants. They understood her in ways that humans never could.
Isabel's imagination continued to evolve, and she saw the world in a way that was both awe-inspiring and mysterious. The beauty and magic of the forest became a part of her, and she carried it with her everywhere she went. To her, the forest was not just a place, but a living, breathing entity that she could communicate with.
Through her unique way of perceiving the world, Isabel discovered a deeper understanding of nature and a profound appreciation for the mysteries of the universe. She found solace in the energy that flowed through everything around her, and in the knowledge that there was always more to discover.
Isabel was only four years old when she had her first encounter with auras. While watching the children play in the park, she noticed a strange and colorful glow around them that sparkled in the sunlight. Excited by this new discovery, Isabel rushed to her mother and eagerly exclaimed, "Mommy, mommy, look! The children, they're all glowing! Can't you see it?"
However, her mother, looking puzzled, couldn't see what Isabel was seeing. She dismissed it as an overactive imagination, but Isabel knew what she had seen was real. She wished she had someone who could understand her experience and share in her excitement.
Like all children her age, Isabel lacked the vocabulary and understanding to describe what she was seeing. Nevertheless, she vividly remembered sensing the energy all around her. She had always assumed that everyone could see auras like she could, but she soon realized that this was not the case. Despite her mother's skepticism, Isabel remained convinced that the colors she saw were not imaginary but were indeed there.
With each passing day, the weight of Isabel's inadequacy to convey the depth of her thoughts and emotions grew heavier. She longed for a way to articulate the kaleidoscope of her perception, but it seemed as though no one else could grasp the vivid hues she saw in the world around her. This sense of isolation left her feeling like a solitary wanderer, misunderstood and adrift in a sea of conventionality.
When she finally gained the words to articulate her experiences, the adults around her were quick to dismiss her claims. They told her that auras weren't real and that she was simply imagining things. It was a crushing blow to Isabel, who had always trusted that grown-ups knew everything.
It was a turning point in Isabel's life. From a young age, she had learned that people could be dismissive and closed-minded when it came to experiences that they did not understand. It was a lesson that stayed with her, shaping her perception of the world and the people around her.
The once bright-eyed and eager little Isabel began to doubt herself. She struggled to reconcile what she knew to be true with what others were telling her. It was a constant battle, and one that she would carry with her for years to come. However, despite the challenges she faced, Isabel refused to give up on her beliefs. She remained determined to find a way to share her experiences with others, and to help them understand the world as she saw it.
These experiences often left Isabel with a sense of unease and a burning curiosity about the unknown, always yearning for something more, something beyond the mundane reality of everyday life.
From a young age, Isabel knew that the world was full of magic and wonder, but as she grew older, she discovered that not everyone was open to her unique perspective. She saw beauty in the smallest things, in the way the leaves rustled in the wind or the way the sunlight danced across the water. But she soon realized that her experiences were not always welcome in the mundane world, and she learned to keep them to herself, like precious secrets that only she could cherish.
When she reached high school, Isabel understood that if she wanted to survive in the real world, she would have to hide her gifts and blend in with everyone else. She went to college, got a job, and started living a normal life. But deep down, she always knew that her true purpose lay elsewhere, that there was something more for her out there.
It wouldnt be until she stumbled upon the secluded cottage in the woods, that she would finally find her true calling.
It was an impressive accomplishment to amass a small fortune within six months of college graduation. But Isabel was never one to rest on her laurels. She was hungry for more, always searching for that elusive spark that would make her feel truly alive. That's why, when her boyfriend Brad asked her to move to a completely different city with him, she didn't hesitate to say yes.
At first, it was exciting to be starting a new chapter in her life with Brad. They had only been dating for three months before graduation, but Isabel knew from the moment she met him that he was different from anyone else she had ever known. He was ambitious and driven, just like her, and his family's obnoxious wealth only added to his allure. Together, they were a power couple in the making.
Isabel threw herself into helping Brad launch his startup company, pouring her heart and soul into the venture. It was a risky move, but they both believed in the business and their ability to make it a success. And succeed they did. Within a few short years, their company was on the Fortune 500 list, and they had become overnight celebrities. They were the talk of the town, the most photographed couple in the city, and Isabel couldn't help but feel proud of everything they had accomplished together. But as their fame and fortune grew, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was still something missing, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
Who did she think she was fooling? It wasn't that she couldn't put her finger on it. The problem was that she had run out of fingers. Has she always been such a difficult person? She would find herself thinking this more often than she should. Brad had given her a lifestyle that would make even Meghan Markle jealous. Why would anyone want to be a part of the British Royals? They all seem so uptight, bored, and unstimulated. The facade of happiness that they tried to project didn't stand a chance against the obvious emptiness and sadness in their eyes. As cliché as it may sound, Isabel strongly believed that the eyes are the windows to the soul. The Royals' eyes all seemed dead and, at times, not even human. They appeared cold, the type of coldness that comes with being cold-blooded. At this point, it would be easier to convince her that they are reptiles rather than humans.
She didn't run out of fingers because of the lizard people. She ran out of fingers because she needed to identify the root of the increasing emptiness, dissatisfaction, and irritation boiling within her core. That's why she was starting to see herself as an effing bitch.
In true bitch fashion, she couldn't risk being portrayed in the media as the true bitch she was. She already had enough people despising her out of pure jealousy and envy. Could you imagine the field day the tabloids would have when they found out she had broken up with Brad for no reason other than that he had given her more than she had ever dreamed of - waking up in new, exotic places more mornings than waking up in her own bed? Their success and popularity as a couple had come with a ridiculously excessive social media following, which made them influencers. This woman was literally being paid more than some people make in a year to show up dressed in the most exquisite fashion and jewelry, go to a party, and take a picture with her boyfriend. Brad had done absolutely nothing wrong, and most certainly not in the media's eyes.
