CHAPTER 2

Gloria’s POV

Everyone in the foyer is preparing for the upcoming birthday party, but I keep going around and cannot get over it; I don't know why can't I calm myself down. The words of the she-wolf almost drove me crazy, why did she know my real name?

On this day, my 18th birthday, I'll be able to meet my mate. Then, with a long exhalation, I saw myself in the bathroom mirror. As far as I can tell, I am 5'9. Looking in the mirror, I couldn't bring myself to grin. What am I expected to do here for years doing nothing but pretending to aid them when I'm supposed to be looking for evidence?

"Hi Gloria, I am Rhia. How are you?" After thinking about her for so long, my wolf finally pondered inside of me. I let out a groan and shoved her out of my mind. On this particular day, I intend to meet a slew of Alphas and betas from various packs, so I'll be busy. I'll always be able to see them. But only now.

As I stepped forward, I had no idea Hades would bump into me. He was strolling down the street, likely on his way to find another woman. I could smell him now. When I think of him, I think of his perfume. He had a puzzled expression on his face as he stared at me.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, My fucking mate is who? He seemed to know it already. A smile spread across his face when I looked at him.

A pair of she-wolves hold Hades’s arms. They're having sex, and I know that he had sex with two she-wolves simultaneously.

No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to make eye contact with him. I'm enraged about the situation. His beauty drew me in. His looks were nice, but he didn't appeal to me.

"If you're Gloria Alvander, then yes, you're..." he muttered something under his breath and gazes up at there are lights on the ceiling that make him laugh with his obnoxious chuckle.

I couldn't help but be disgusted with him. He appeared to be disrespectful and unappreciative of me. Bitch.

"I had a feeling about it. My father is already aware that I will be the mate of a little bitch named you. I wish I had the power to influence the moon goddess's thoughts."

"After knowing I'm your mate, you can no longer be naive enough to think about Santa Claus." I interrupt him. I want to demonstrate to him that I am not afflicted by the misery of hearing him mutter such explanations and rejections.

"I, Hades Alexios, the future Alpha of Silver Bow Pack, rejected you, Gloria Alvander as my mate," he stated while looking at me.

When he said it, I smirked. I didn't flinch or react, and my heart wasn't racing. My eyes welled up with tears of joy and laughed simultaneously, and he arched his eyebrows in anticipation.

“Then thanks for your rejection; I, Gloria Lavender, the daughter of Shadow Mystic Pack’s Alpha King, accepted your rejection,” I told him with a straight face.?

When I said those things, he was dumbfounded and gave me a death gaze while biting his bottom lip and clenching his jaw.

"Lavender? You're faking it! Shut up! You're an adopted, Gloria Alvander!"

“You just need to know my real name, Gloria Lavender. Also, remember that my long wait is now over.” As I spoke, I flashed him a smirk and showed him my badass features with a wink. I was about to walk away when he grabbed my hand. Despite my best efforts, he was holding it firmly in his grasp.

That's what I said without turning away from him. But he didn't let go of it completely. I can see his regrets and sadness on his face when I look at him through his eyes.

"You can make all she-wolves to be obsessed over you, but not me." His hand was attached to my hand, and I put it down with a wicked look.

"What you had was all that mattered, Hades. I'm sure this is exactly what you're looking for... Thank you for making me the first woman to reject you. What a disgusting b****, how dare you touch my hand!" I rolled my eyes at him, grunted, and then walked away.

He was mute and unable to express himself at all.

I'm very sure he doesn't know anything about the relationship between my family and his. But he inherited his father's demeanor, which was one of a nasty, upbeat person.

Hours later

Outside, there are several cars parked. This is the final day I'll be working here. After this, I'm not sure what to do. But I'm getting better ideas, and I've recognized that I'm making them more robust by gradually aiding them in their endeavors. They're successful because I feel that my wishes make all decisions.

Hades was dressed in a suit and tie, and he cast a downward gaze at me. I was in a dress on the other side of the stage from him, with his father and mother seated on their thrones.

I chuckled as I saw his eyes filled with remorse. He had something to say. He was the center of attention. When he turned to face me, he was sipping on a wine. I can't stop the laughter that is rising inside of me.

"I'd want to express my gratitude to everyone who attended my birthday celebration. I'm thankful for all of my blessings..." He mumbles, unable to get the words out of his mouth.

It's as though he's fixed on me the entire time. Only one glass of wine was consumed since I accidentally misplaced my hold on it. Regardless of their discussion, he was still speaking into the microphone.

"Are we going to show them who is your mate?" Hugo said.

"Let's not bring up mate any longer, Dad. I'm sorry, but I can't join you."

"What are you talking about, son? We've already discussed this. Where is your partner? We must get to know her!" his words were cut off, and his father's gaze shifted to me.

Because of his father's disappointment and the trembling expression on his face, I can see he gets more nervous.

"Were you the one to turn her down? I've previously stated—"

It was ironic to see that Hades didn't even dare to tell his father that he rejected me.

"I turned him down because he wasn't good enough for me. No one has ever rejected him before, isn't it hilarious? Such a disgusting creature," Everyone looked at me in disbelief, murmuring and shaking their heads as I spoke in the middle of the stage.

"How dare you reject my son? You had no right to do so!"

"Yes, I have, and I'm sure everyone else does as well. And I will leave this Pack forever after today, I am no longer your adopted daughter or loyal soldier." I admitted that my words caused their eyes to enlarge.

"What? We have raised you for years and trained you to be a powerful Beta, see what you plan to repay us? You, bitch," Hades' father Hugo screamed and seemed to hit me. I wasn't worried, because I was strong enough to resist him. They have always underestimated me, Beta? Obviously, I am not.

However, someone grabbed his wrist and glared at him,

"Don't mess with my mate."
