CHAPTER 3
Gloria’s POV
His mate? And my second mate? It's ridiculous; Hades, the asshole, just rejected me.
The familiar voice of the man yelled at them to keep their distance. I'm not sure if he's telling lies to protect me. His assistance is unnecessary, as he should know.
They could see his hand on my wrist. I tried to remove it, but it wouldn't come off on its own. I felt he had made a deliberate choice to be with me.
"Please refrain from touching her hand; we have to... " but it was too late when Jollie yelled; he was already running down the platform, holding my hand.
"Mate," he said in a scratchy voice, and everything about him was appealing. Despite what he did, I don't want to go against him. It's just not right, I swallowed, I'm sure I knew him. In the Crystal Blood Pack, he is Apollo Harris, the Alpha.
This guy has the potential to be lethal and extremely dangerous. I wonder whether he knew who I am.
"Mate," I mumbled with my soft tone, and my gaze is focused on his face and every part of it as I close my eyes when I feel him at my neck.
I awoke in his bed and took a moment to glance around. Such a stunning piece of art; it reminds me of a version of myself that I once had. I rise from my chair and am surprised to see him in the corridor. He was glancing my way.
For both of us, it's an awkward situation. Is this a situation in which I'm prepared?
"This is the first time any of us has met the other. Is it possible for me to accept you if I don't even know you? " I was able to connect with him through the power of thought. He shook his head. His pack has nothing to do with it. This is where he takes a break. I see how he could be just as affluent as the rest of us, now that I think about it. He didn't say a word, but he stared at me stoically, his icy gaze fixed on my features. He said I look good.
"Gloria, I find you. You have my utmost respect. You are my Luna, and you always will be." As he came closer and began to wipe my hair, he said something. The mere fact that he was staring at my face told me that he was head over heels in love. I haven't moved and have no idea what's going on.
How should I respond to him? I know I'm not very enthusiastic. I could tell he was delighted to see me; his aroma was intoxicating. I'm not interested in him, although he is my mate.
I was the first to set off on foot. He coughs in an Alpha-like manner. As I continued down the stairwell, I heard a noise.
Hugo and Jolie surprised me, as did Apollo's beta, who appeared swiftly.
"How dare you intrude upon my domain!" Apollo snapped at them fiercely, saying he was about to walk down, and clenched his fist, but I stopped him by grabbing his hand. I cleaned my throat, and he let me depart. Just because he doesn't want something terrible to happen, he does.
"The fact that our kid rejected you hurts us deeply. Gloria, we are sorry and we do not want you to leave us. I'd like you to retract what you said. He was sorry; he wants to chat with you. I'm counting on—"
"Then who are you to tell me to do that? Jolie and Hugo, I am no longer in your hands. I'm taking a step back now. We don't get along, and I don't need him. Changing his thinking was probably due to realizing that my power far outweighs yours." I screamed, interrupting them. Jolie had a peculiar tear in her eye and looked down at her toe as though she was sobbing.
"I know you won't believe us, but our son Hades is going to go after you, and he's the one who's going to get you—"
"My second mate has already been here, and I know exactly who he is. We all know how strong he is." I interrupted with a death stare, and their eyes widened in response. They're frightened by his stern gaze. As is his habit, he did nothing because he followed my instructions. I'm desperate to get my hands on him right now. But how?
"Please leave, Luna and Alpha of the Silver Bow Pack, Jolie, and Hugo. Don't make it impossible for our group not to get along. In general, we enjoy a cordial relationship. I want you to leave immediately and never return. I don't want you to harm my Luna, so please don't. Without you, she will shine." He instructed in a deep voice. He didn't even have to think about what he was saying before he could say it due to my trepidation about confessing my feelings for him to them.
As soon as they rolled their eyes, there was nothing they could do but depart.
"Apollo. The Gamma is currently in charge of the rest of the pack. Let us declare and return right away." I heard something from his beta. As a low voice, he's trying too hard. As a result, I was unable to listen to it, and he was unaware that I possessed the ability to hear sounds.
"It's all right, Apollo. Please tell me more about yourself." I told him. It seemed a little casual to me. When I hear the words, I do not react. My question is, why? Why won't they allow me to be happy the way I want to be? I want to fall in love with someone. But I'm not too fond of it, of course, I do. However, justice must be served first.
"Ren, please leave." He ordered his beta to leave the house as soon as he was summoned. We're making eye contact now that I've turned my gaze to him. He indeed was the finest.
"As much as possible, I hope nothing awful happens to you. Gloria, I won't allow anyone else to come near you. Only I am capable of loving and touching you. Everyone, regardless of whether you're my Luna or not, already has a high opinion of you. However, you're about to receive what you've earned, and it's in the palm of my hand."
Alpha Apollo, I don't deserve someone like you.
