Chapter 2

"For crying out loud, whose kids are these?"A couple of women in their early twenties wondered while they stared at Susan's twins aboard their flight to the United States.

"It's offensive to take pictures of them, what if their mom finds out? It's creepy, come on, stop it" one of the young women said to the friend of hers that was taking photos of Susan's Kid's.

It had been five years ago since Susan fled the country after the mysterious event that happened to her at the hotel. Now, she was returning with her four-year-old twins, a boy and a girl named Michael and Judy respectfully. These kids of her's came to be as a result of the rape incident that she fled the country for.

Susan's kids were adorable. Her son, Michael, had a plain blue short sleeved shirt on, tucked into black chinos trousers and a denim jean jacket on top. His sleek blonde hair rested on his shoulder, stretching his face out to buttress his streamlined eyes. 'Cat eyes' Michael was usually referred to as by his friends back in the country they had just left. He was as handsome and as sharp as a drawing by the most talented artist there was. Judy, his sister, had similar features as her brother, except that her hair was longer, and woven to a ponytail at the moment. Her eyes were no different from Michaels, and for a four-year-old, she was already so curvy, her mom knew to keep an eye on her always because of how nasty the world was. Perverts were roaming free. After all she had been raped by an unknown person who didn't care to consider how battered her face was. Both Michael and Judy had blood-red lips, that sucked on lollipops at the moment, they looked divine in their flawless skin, they were indeed without blemish

"If you don't stop taking pictures of us, I'm going to tell my mom" Michael warned the one lady that had her phone in front of her, snapping away at him and Judy.

"I told you to beat it" the culprit's friend snapped at her, snatching the phone before they all got in trouble.

"Are they travelling alone? I shouldn't think so. These kids look like they are worth a billion dollars, someone might steal them" the lady that was taking the pictures asked no one in particular, she was only thinking out loud, but it was to the hearing of her other friends.

"Are you blind? Can't you see their mom beside them?" another of the lady's asked her in reply. 'You always have crazy ideas going on in your numb skull, don't ever be tempted to carry out any of those thoughts of yours, you might not ever see the light of day again. Jail is calling you, I can smell it' she ranted. Beside these admirable twin toddlers, the ever so pure and innocent Susan sat, taking a nap. She looked evidently exhausted. She was dressed casually in red baggy pants, and a loose button down khaki long-sleeved shirt that she rolled all the way up to her elbow.

"Are you going to wake mummy up to have something to eat, she looks hungry, I can tell" Judy told her brother Michael in a loud whisper.

"Let her be, don't wake her up. You need to stop pissing mom off all the time" Michael snapped at his sister. Michael was the older twin. It had to be as a result of the tough circumstances they grew up in with their mom because he was wise beyond his age. His eyes had the sort of depth that anyone could get lost in, and his aura oozed of mystic wisdom, unlike his sister Judy, she was naive and it showed. Judy smiled sheepishly at her elder twin brother and promised to try and stop being a nuisance.

"Mom, mom, we are here" Michael shook his mom gently until she woke up. The plane came to a halt after descending into the MAXI AMERICAN ALLIANCE AIRPORT. They had arrived at their destination. Susan cooed tiredly and fluttered her precious eyes open to look at her handsome son staring at her right in the face as if he had never seen her before.

"Michael' Susan exclaimed silently. "Stop being so creepy' she added. The boy flashed a cute smile and started to sort the property that belonged to them from his mother's lap.

"Have you guys had anything to eat?" Susan asked in a concerned tone. She had slept through out the entire journey. It was the only opportunity she had to have a befitting nap because she was always on her feet working to make ends meet for these adorable kids of hers.

"Yes, we had the sandwiches you allocated to us" Michael replied, eyeing his sister Judy, not to tell their mom that he had given Judy his share because he imagined she was more hungry than her sandwich could fill her up. He was the man of the family, instinctively, he always looked out for his mom and sister.

"Great" An unassuming Susan replied, rubbing down Michael's hair while she got up to step out of the plane. Michael and Judy exchanged secret glances at each other.

"Are you not hungry mom?"Judy asked in her usual high-pitched voice. Susan smiled and lifted Judy up in her arm to look her in the face while they walked into the airport.

"I'm fine' she replied. " "I'd have something to eat soon, as far as you guys have eaten, then I am satisfied as well" Susan explained. After five years, Susan was back to the United States with her four-year-old kids. Her past had already started to trickle back into her memory while she advanced into the airport hall to sort her luggage out and advance into the city. She had mixed feelings of worry and emptiness. She didn't know what surprises the future held for her.
