Chapter 2

Yavana POV

I was resting against the glass of an exquisite Mercedes, the name of which I had no idea if correct. I'm also frightened to touch any component of this superb vehicle in case I make a mistake and damage anything visible in it.

APT School is the school for people who want to learn a variety of sports. It's not just an ordinary school like the person who goes to school. This is a training camp where the trainers have their licensed coaches. It s exclusively for the rich only. Amazingly, I get into this unaffordable camp.

What's more astonishing is that I'm right next to the most renowned stoner in the world, a famous boxer. Much more, I'm in his car now, and I'm scared that if another woman enrolled in APT sees me, someone will rush and attack me. APT School is well-known, and everyone there is on the same level; therefore, I'm not sure why the owner of APT School is by my side right now.

I'm neither foolish nor an idiot for not understanding that Holmes owns that training camp. Elijah can't deny it, no matter how hard he tries. I first met him through television when it was announced that Holmes had a child enrolled at that school. I am envious of him since he appears to have it all.

The popularity.

The wealth.

The glamorous face.

The talent.

He acquired his name from perspiration, not from his parents. I didn't know him very well; it just so happened that I noticed his name in a magazine when I was reading. When my neighbor took me there, I first saw the ballet dance at APT. That was the first moment I realized I had fallen in love with something.

"You won't die when you talk to me," he said because I hadn't glanced at him since I finished beating him. He stares straight ahead at the road and then at me. I can see him in my peripheral vision, so he's not gazing at me accidentally.

According to the magazine where all of his information is published, he is 24 years old and on the verge of becoming 25. When he initially entered the world of boxing, he was 21 years old. I'm not sure why he likes boxing, which will maim his face when he may play basketball, tennis, archery, or any other activity that will not damage his face.

I would take care of it all if I had amber eyes, a razor-like nose, and kissable lips since I could use it elsewhere, like modeling, but Elijah was different. He possessed all of these qualities, yet he chose boxing. It's no surprise that his face is flawless because he's half German and half Turkish. Add to it his brown skin tone, which contrasts sharply with the people of Germany.

I'm not sure how Elijah became connected with me. He just unexpectedly suddenly appeared in my everyday life to taunt me and spoil my day. I can see why he does this to me. I'm not like them; I don't have a car like this, nor do I have an expensive bag. Even the satin Ballet shoes I had retained were broken. I can't even afford a new one.

Surprisingly, a poor, needy, and proud person like me is on the ground they are stomping. I am not endowed with luxury, but I am blessed with parental love and the people who have been near to us. I attended that pricey training camp since my parent's friends and neighbors donated. After all, I had aspired to be a ballet dancer.

I know Elijah dislikes me, so he does everything he can to torment me, but I can't stop myself, so all I can do is avoid him.

I ignored him and continued to stare out the window. I want to finish ballet without being a stumbling block. When I become a reputable dancer, I will bail my parents out of distress and repay all the kindnesses shown to me by everyone who supported me. So, for that to happen, I'm not going to concentrate just on Elijah. I'm not sure where he'll take me now. I'm trying to avoid him, but he's still attempting to wreck my life.

If he hadn't just touched me, I wouldn't have realized the car had stopped. I'm overthinking it since I'm afraid I'll get new shoes if we don't have the money. If you buy inexpensive shoes, you will still have to pay a lot. I took a peek around to see where we were. My gaze was no longer drawn to my surroundings. When I discovered that I could see blackness, I peered and was surprised to turn to him while my hand was already embracing my body.

"Where did you take me?!? You must have something nasty in mind for me!" I quickly accused him, even pressing my back against his car door as his brows met. "Just like I thought!" I narrowed my eyes and lifted one finger to point at him while the other still clung to me. You've got a plan for me! Pervert!"

What I stated is entirely false. Who is Elijah Holmes? He won't ever be interested in me! My wings appear to be expanding, and I want to soar higher. Because of what I say to him, I like the ground to swallow me whole. He may even put me in prison!

He flicked my forehead, causing me to release my grasp on my body and drop the finger pointing at him. I stared at him as if the daggers were going to pierce his flesh. Even though it wasn't harsh for him to hit me, I massaged my brow. I gave him a sly smirk. No matter how heavenly I am, I transform into a devil when it comes to this man.

"It appears that you do not require ballet shoes. It looks that you need to buy a mirror and thickness of shame because you seem to be lacking in both." As he said those, his face drew closer to mine, and I closed my eyes firmly.

I was about to fall if he hadn't merely grabbed my arm. He suddenly opened the door, and I nearly slumped because I was resting against it. I smacked his arm again when he adjusted my seat, but this person seemed quite delighted because he chuckled, and his dimples appeared again. I diverted my gaze from his cheek, which I had smacked with a rose earlier, since I wanted to avoid feeling guilty.

"Get out of there and follow me." he urged, opening his door, and I raced out of his car. He was ahead of me, even though I was just re-adjusting my shoes.

In my haste, I stumbled and re-pressed the mouths of my shoes as I chased after him. I noticed a glass door. So, where are we? As he neared the door, it automatically opened. Wow.

I am ignorant to precise since I haven't seen many of them. My parents never took me to what they call malls or marketplaces.

I was still strolling when Elijah came in and waited for me. IT OPENED AUTOMATICALLY when I was near the door, and my hair stood on end from the cold air conditioning. This is most likely what they call a mall, based on what I've read in novels. We don't have a television, so I can't see how it looks. My ballet shoes were given to me by a classmate who had worn them out.

He just yanked me in, and as we walked out from the parking lot, the people's hissing became louder. Youngsters are running around, and my eyes are restless due to the various types of decorating inside. Many people pass by and don't understand why I cling to Elijah. Perhaps because I'm not used to being around so many people. I looked up as his pressure on my hand tightened.

"Don't worry, they won't bite you." he joked as we walked inside a boutique filled with gorgeous ballerina shoes.

My eyes sparkled since it was the first time I had seen brand-new shoes, and the design was uniform yet varied in color. Other patterns are available, but the white pointed plat ballerina shoes piqued my interest. I want to touch it, but I'm worried I'll ruin it by getting filthy or scratching it.

I would have ignored it since I know how amazing it is—how high the price is. However, Elijah stretched out to that ballet shoes as I turned away. We almost bumped because we faced each other, but I stepped aside thankfully.

I stood there watching him pick it up. I averted my gaze because I was envious; I wished I was as wealthy as he was, so I wouldn't have to consider how much it would cost me to follow my desire.

"How much is it?" he inquired before the male seller approached us.

In my head, I grinned bitterly. Perhaps he brought me here to appraise shoes for the person to whom he would present them. My gaze was drawn to how he delivered it and how the price reverberated in my ears. That is the value of our entire year's food.

I walked back to his car after we exited the store. I'm itching to get home and fix my shoes. Not only that, but I was ready to approach him when he restrained my hand once again. He raised a paper bag when I faced him, and my eyes widened.

"Once you accept this, you need to speak to me every day."
