Chapter 2 Do you need my help?

Angel's POV

Two years later

"Hey guys, where do you want to go?" I chased some Rogues to the mall near the pack, asking them as I looked at them one by one.

"It's none of your business, leave our path now." One of the Rogues growled at me.

I just smiled at him. What a naive child! Does he still think he can escape from here alive?

"If you don't want to die right away, shut your damn mouth," I said.

Rogues got angry and they growled at me again. They rushed to me together.

I blocked all their attacks and returned them all.

Slade wants to show her power. She is a pure white wolf, which is extremely rare. But I refused, for there is absolutely no need to deal with these Rogues.

I finished them quickly, and Kayden came here at the same time.

"Angel, I told you to wait for us. What if the Rogues hurt you?" Kayden shouted anxiously, he is my new alpha.

Kayden found and saved me in the forest and let me join his pack, which is the Wolf Fang Pack. He is so nice and he is like an older brother to me. He takes good care of me.

"It's OK." I smiled at him, but suddenly, a strange heat rush into me.

Oh god.

I feel hot inside. My whole body started to lose strength and gradually became soft.

"Angel, you are in heat! We must get out of here before other unmated wolf smells you!" Kayden took off his jacket and wrapped it around me, trying to hide the smell.

There were not only humans in the mall, but also many werewolves.

I followed Kayden to leave.

But Slade's situation was more serious than I thought.

'I need our mate…' Her voice was more heavy than usual.

Because we left our partners, Slade and I both had a hard time getting through this heating period over the past two years.

Each time we repress it, it makes the next time worse. Just like today, I feel like I'm about to lose control.

The only solution is to go back to our mate. But…

Kayden took me out of the mall, to a quiet, deserted place. He spoke slowly and firmly,

"It looks like you're struggling. Do you need my help?"

"No, no..."

Of course, I know what he meant by help. I do need someone, but I couldn't do it and let another man help me.

But Slade had a very good feeling about Kayden.

'Why don't you let Kayden help you? I think he's perfect for you.'

'Are you forgetting that we already have a mate?'

'But you need Kayden so much right now.'

'I'm sorry Slade, I can't do that.'

'Why? For you still like Gabriel?'

I said nothing, maybe Slade was right.

When I thought of Gabriel, another huge heat forced me to touch someone.

Kayden was the only one by my side.

No...

At that moment, I thought I was going to die. But suddenly, a familiar, addictive smell rushed into my nose.

'Angel, Gabriel is around here. I can feel the Claw!'

'I can feel, too.'

Kayden didn't know what happened, but I can feel my mate, whose name was carved into my bones!

'Why don't we find Gabriel and then let him help us?' Slade said.

Her suggestion was so seductive that it was irresistible to me in heat.

'We are his mates. He has the power and duty to do that. Come on, Angel. I know Claw's feeling, they are equally eager for us!'

Gabriel's face appeared in my brain, and the suffering also made me brave.

I'm no longer the ugly, weak girl I was two years ago. I'm gifted, powerful, and attractive now.

Why should I be afraid to meet with him?

I can't deny that I hold expectations of my mate again.

'I'm going to find him.' I talked to Slade, and then she became cheerful obviously.

But how do I explain it to Kayden?

I decided to tell him the truth.

"Kayden, my mate is nearby and I need to go find him."

Because of Gabriel's appearance, I'm better than before, but still like burning in flame.

"Your mate?"

Kayden's face turned pale, but he nodded anyway.

"I'll go with you."

I followed the smell and found him in a corner.

With the bitch Danna!

In a quiet and deserted corner, wearing the same color clothes, Danna hugged Gabriel tightly, her head resting on Gabriel's shoulder.

They seem to be very close, Danna is far more like Gabriel's mate than I am...

"I'm so happy you go out with me today Gabriel--"

Gabriel didn't answer, but he didn't break away from Danna's arms either. He was looking around for something, nervously.

One of the mates is in heat, which also affects the other.

Was he looking for me? Did he still remember me?

How could he do this?! How could he be so close with Danna?!

'Should I go over there?' I asked Slade, resisting the urge to rush over and hug Gabriel.

God knows how much I crave Gabriel's touch and kisses right now.

'Of course! I'm a werewolf, would never share my mate with anyone else!'

A wave of huge anger covered me. I was about to walk over and pull them apart, while Danna gave a kiss on Gabriel's face.

"What are you looking for? Why don't you look at me? I'm your mate!"

The words were like a thunderbolt, causing me extremely shocked and frozen in place.

M-mate?

How could they?

I lost my strength and fell backward. Kayden held me up.

I looked over to Gabriel, who was not far away, and for a moment, I felt I was a joke.

Why?

Didn't I matter to him at all? Two years passed, and he hadn't tried to find me, instead, he had found this bitch Danna as a mate!

Why did he have to tear my heart out over and over again?!

'You are so sad, Angel.' Slade said.

'Don't you? Our mates betrayed us.'

'NO, it's Gabriel, not Claw. Claw is loyal.'

I closed my eyes and turned to Kayden.

"I want to go home."

The heat was still torturing me and anger made me lose my mind.

"Of course, we will go home now." Kayden was considerate enough to avoid asking questions. He hugged me.

Gabriel noticed me because of my voice, and he turned around.

I wanted to avoid his sight the first time, but Kayden took my hand and gave me courage and security.

Why should I hide from Gabriel? I hadn't done anything wrong.

Gabriel frowned as he glanced first at Kayden and then at our hands.

His eyes gradually became sharper.

Would he recognize me?
