Chapter 4 You are late
Angel's POV
When we went back to the Wolf Fang Pack, I almost passed out.
I felt like my body was a puddle of water, or like toast on the fire.
Kayden carried me into the room, then he left and when he came back, he got packs of ice and put them in the water. He helped me drink it but it didn't help my situation.
As I lay in bed, I remembered the image of Gabriel and Danna standing together, and my heart began to ache again.
"Angel, I'm serious. I can help you." Kayden wrapped his arms around me.
His body was colder than mine and I felt comfortable when I leaned against his chest.
"You don't have to do this, Kayden. You've already done enough for me. For the past two years, it was you that have been taking care of me the whole time. You taught me how to be strong, how to be confident, and brave. I'm grateful to you."
"But I didn't help you to make you grateful." Kayden suddenly became agitated.
He said, "You're special to me, you know. I like you. Angel, when I saw that man just now, I was going crazy with jealousy. I wish that you are my mate. I always look at the moon and hope that the Moon Goddess can hear my prayer. That guy doesn't understand how precious you are at all!"
With these words, he fixed me in his arms. I looked into his eyes and I blushed at the affection in his eyes. I felt my heartbeat quicken as his face inched mine closer and closer. Suddenly, he pecked my eyes, my cheek, and my lips.
I was surprised by the incident but the pain gradually disappeared. He covered me and took off the clothes.
I can see Kayden's feelings right now. He wanted to own me. He likes me.
Over the past two years, I have long discovered the feelings that Kayden has. I also found him very attractive.
Compared to Gabriel, Kayden was a much better choice for me.
So I barely struggled with that. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back, we almost lost control before Kayden pulled away. To control his feelings, he clenched his fists and gasped for breath, his chest heaving.
"I'm sorry Angel, we should stop. I don't want you to regret it after." Kayden said.
I couldn't answer him so I just hugged him.
If I hadn't met Gabriel, I would have fallen deeply in love with Kayden. He always thought on my side.
"Can you take me to the pool? I still feel burning." I said.
"Okay, come on." He picked me up and carried me to the pool.
"Just stay here, Kayden. I need you."
"Why can't it be the two of us? I hope we are the real mate." He said in a whisper.
I didn't answer.
Moon Goddess, what a twisted fate you did.
Gabriel's POV
Shit! This is how it feels when my mate is touching another man? I feel a kind of burn in my heart when her body was touched by another male.
Is she allowed that male to help?
The feeling of betrayal covered me.
'What a challenge. I wonder what will you do now?' Claw said.
'Thank you for your concern, Claw. I will take someone to the Wolf Fang Pack for inter-pack communication tomorrow.'
'Why the Wolf Fang Pack?'
'The direction that man took Ann away today leads to the Wolf Fang Pack.'
'Well, good luck then." Claw didn't say anything else, even though he missed his mate terribly, too.
I've been looking for my mate since I sensed her two years ago in my pack. But I've searched the entire pack and never found her.
Now that she showed up in front of me again, I will bring her back and make her my Luna.
The moon goddess would bless me.
Angel's POV
The second day, when I saw Gabriel in the Wolf Fang Pack, I felt a twinge of confusion.
I looked to Kayden, who also did not expect that the Alpha of the Moon Crescent Pack was the man he saw yesterday.
He said softly to me, "He came over for an interaction. I thought your mate was just an ordinary warrior."
I didn't know what to say. I could only see Gabriel's brow furrowed. I guessed he had the same idea as Kayden.
For the sake of peace between the packs, the two Alphas were shaking hands with each other today, despite having fought only yesterday.
My heating had gotten better after a night of soaking in cold water. I had tried my best to stay calm and control myself from thinking about the unpleasant things, but when Danna appeared from behind Gabriel, I still felt a crack in my mask.
Why can't she just disappear from my life?
Including Gabriel!
Kayden had a lot of things to do, and he arranged for someone to take the Moon Crescent Pack warriors to rest, then went to work.
Before Kayden left, he told me to stay away from Gabriel. I nodded.
But Gabriel found me anyway, and he grabbed me by the shoulders and looked at me seriously.
"Ann, I'm here to see you. You're my Luna, you should go back with me."
If it was two years ago, I would have been very happy and excited to hear that and would have left with Gabriel without hesitation.
But I'm not the same person I used to be, especially since Gabriel owns Danna now.
I sneered coldly and shook off his hand.
"I'm sorry, I already have a partner. "
"You are late."
