Chapter 6 Gabriel is in danger!

Angel's POV

"What happened?" Kayden talked to me in a normal tone.

"Nothing. I'm fine, don't worry about me." I walked over and took his hands.

We were going to leave, but Gabriel tried to stop me.

"There are still many things we need to talk about!"

"I have nothing to say to you."

Gabriel intended to close the door, but Danna gradually regained consciousness, and she held Gabriel's hand to keep him from leaving.

"Take care of your mate!" I said. I guessed this outcome.

Kayden and I were both blessed with teleportation power and we soon got out of there together.

We went to my home, where I had lived for two years in the Wolf Fang pack.

Kayden showed me his sadness. I sat down on my bed and waved to him.

"Do you want to come here and lay down with me like old days?" I said.

He slowly leaned over on the bed and lay down.

"Do you remember the day you saved me from the Rogues? Whether you remember it or not, I will always remember it. You brought me back to the Wolf Fang pack, made me a member of this pack, and when I was hurt or had nightmares, you would sleep with me and reassure me. You are the best thing that ever happened to me."

I said hugging him. I'm trying to comfort him. I love him but not the kind of love I have for Gabriel.

I grabbed Kayden's face and kissed him. It just lasted for a few seconds.

"Your mate can feel this Angel, and you are the best for me, too." said Kayden.

"It doesn't matter. You are special."

Kayden gradually calmed down. He hugged me back but did not say any word.

We stayed that way until late afternoon.

In the late afternoon, there was a frantic knock on my door. I opened the door and Danna was glaring at me.

"Gabriel's gone! He tried to come to you after you left, but he disappeared since then! I can't contact him in mind link!" She yelled.

"What does it have to do with me? Maybe he just went for a walk." I had no patience for Danna. She had survived the first time, but there would never be a second chance.

I prepared to close the door, but she beat angrily on the board.

"How can you be so cruel? Gabriel is missing because of you!"

I closed the door without hesitation.

"Can I help you?" Kayden stood behind me for a long time.

I shook my head, "No, it's not our duty."

"But he is your mate."

'Angel! Gabriel is in danger! I can sense that!' Slade said.

After her saying, I feel tense heartache.

As his mate, the moment we find our mate, our mate-bond is partially formed.

"Angel, what is happening to you? It seems that you are uncomfortable, because of your mate?" Kayden asked.

He got the point. I don't want to lie to him, so I nodded.

"Looks like we must find Gabriel quickly." Kayden gathered a lot of warriors and then led them around to look for him.

Kayden repeatedly told me to stay and rest, but Slade was uneasy and she was worried about Claw, so after Kayden and the others left, I ran out with them.

After the mark, I could get a rough idea of Gabriel's location. I kept going for a long distance. It wasn't until I went to the location of the boundary of the Wolf Fang Pack, that I finally saw Gabriel's figure.

He was surrounded by a large group of Rogues and had suffered a small injury to his arm. I used the mind link to tell Kayden that I had found Gabriel and the location of the Rogues.

When he heard the word 'Rogues', he simply said he would come over soon.

'There are too many Rogues, we can't leave Gabriel alone,' Slade said.

'I know.' I jumped in front of Gabriel and deflected a strike from the Rogues for him.

"Ann, are you here to find me?" Gabriel was both shocked and excited to see me like he'd guessed I'd come.

Had I been tricked by him?

But now was not the time to think about that. The Rogues became more vicious and rushed towards Gabriel and me one by one.

These rogues were weak, and I quickly defeated many of them.

"This is the first time I've fought alongside you, Ann. It feels good." Gabriel said as he finished off a sneaky rogue behind me.

But I didn't want to talk to him much. Because of him, I wasted my rest time fighting here!

It didn't take a long time to beat down a good chunk of the Rogues.

It was an easy fight. How could Gabriel, being an Alpha, get hurt?

'Maybe he just wants you to come.' Slade heard my inner voice and said casually.

It was like I had been hit by a meteorite.

An inexplicable wave of emotion engulfed me and my movements became rigid for a moment.

"Look out!"

Gabriel shouted out, but it was too late.

The leader of the Rogues had already appeared in front of me, his sharp claws flashed a white light in the air, I had nowhere to run, but to wait for a strong force to knock me out.

I closed my eyes, but several seconds passed, and the hit I had imagined did not occur. Then I opened my eyes and found Gabriel in front of me, and that attack landed on Gabriel!

"Gabriel!"

When he collapsed, I realized for the first time that I was so afraid of losing him.
