Part two- Chapter 27

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is when a relationship dies between two people while they are still alive

ORSELINE P.O.V

Alpha Abraham turned to look at Cortez who came out of the shadows along with Granel. So they came together? I don’t know why they came but I was glad they did.

The rogues growled ferociously when Granel removed the tube from his pocket, which I don’t know how he had, and threw it close to where Alpha Abraham stood. “Granel?” Alpha Abraham said when he did that.

Once the moon flower scent hit my nose, I sucked in a breath.

“Moon flower” Alpha Abraham said and glared at Granel.

“Yes. I didn’t know having it in my car for ‘just in case’ situation would come to help me in this situation.” Granel spat. “Never expected you to be in this Uncle” Granel said disappointment clear in his tone.

“You are the one to talk?” Alpha Abraham asked with a growl. “You are with her in killing Grier and Herrick?” Alpha Abraham asked Granel.

“We only have fifteen minutes” Granel said avoiding answering Alpha Abraham’s question. I knew he was talking about the time pending before moon flowers influence exhausts.

“Kill them all” Alpha Abraham thundered and Darya gasped. There was complete silence and we all turned to face Darya who was crying.

“Get inside the car Darya” I ordered to her in my Alpha tone which she had to obey. Shakily, she got inside the car.

“Kill everyone, kill that girl too” Alpha Abraham thundered and I closed my eyes. This was Darya’s father? He didn’t deserve to have her as his daughter.

“Guard Darya” Tyson told me and then lunged at the first rogue. There were twelve of those filthy mutts and I knew none of them had a chance against us.

I stood beside the door of the car and fought only those wolves who survived from the guys. Cortez would rip those rogues within minutes. One rogue jumped and landed on the hood of the car. I heard Darya shriek when he did that. Holding him by the ankle, I dug my claws in to it and pleasured at hearing the sound of his cry. He used his other leg to kick me off but before he could do that, Cortez held the back of his shirt and dragged him away. I looked at Darya who was fidgeting inside. She shrieked again and I followed her line of gaze to see Cortez decapitating the same rogue.

Granel was shoving a rogue who had shifted into his wolf while Tyson was clawing another rogue in the chest.

Darya’s scream made me turn back to look at her, only to see that the car’s door was ripped apart and a rogue holding her by her arms had pulled her out. Darya was fighting his hold and crying at the same time. “Orseline” she screamed my name, sobbing and I lunged at the rogue. He roughly collided against a tree after I shoved him in the chest. Walking towards him with inhumane speed, I held his throat and forcefully smashed his head against the tree. Holding the front of his shirt in a tight grip, I pushed him down on the ground and then elbowed him in the chest to which the rogue yelped in pain. Gritting my teeth, I held his head and then twisted it. The snap of his bones was a proof that he was dead.

“Done” Cortez growled.

“Done” Granel repeated.

I turned to see that every single rogue was dead.

Darya was on the ground, sobbing loudly with her hands on her ears and her eyes closed shut. Pain slashed through me when I saw her like that. I didn’t even want to imagine how a twelve year old was feeling after witnessing the scene in front of her.

“Let me go, you son of a bitch” I heard Alpha Abraham growling and looked up to see Tyson holding Alpha Abraham. Tyson had pinned Alpha Abraham to the bonnet of his white Lexus.

“He was trying to run away” Tyson said casually. “What should we do with him?” Tyson asked his eyes on Cortez.

I looked at Darya who was still on the ground and sobbing loudly. I walked towards her and slowly held her shoulders. She didn’t fight my hold and so I helped her to stand up. “Let him go” I said and looked at Cortez. He was the person who had to give his final consent because everything was taken away from him by Alpha Abraham.

I was more than surprised to see Cortez nodding. I didn’t want Darya to witness Alpha Abraham’s death after all he was her father. I was ready to spare Alpha Abraham even after what he did to my brother and others because he is Darya’s father. Whether he cared for his daughter or not, she was still is his daughter.

“Let him go” Cortez repeated. I was glad Cortez agreed to it for Darya’s sake. I knew it must be hard for him to spare Alpha Abraham but he would do it for Darya. Tyson loosened the hold he had on Alpha Abraham’s neck and he stood up.

Alpha Abraham turned to glare at us, especially Darya. I shook my head in disbelief when I saw the disgust he had in his eyes for Darya.

“Just because we are letting you go doesn’t mean we won’t keep an eye on you” Cortez said his harsh glare on Alpha Abraham. “Give me the name of your ringleader” he asked Alpha Abraham who was glaring at Darya.

“You… You are the cause of this, cause of everything” Alpha Abraham said pointing his index at Darya. Darya involuntarily took a step back after he said that. I growled at him for his bitter words. She wasn’t the cause of anything, he and his group of buddies were. “You killed my mate” he spat and I closed my eyes. What happened to his mate was unfortunate; he shouldn’t blame Darya for that. “You are born to kill.” He roared. “I am so glad I didn’t bring you up as my daughter” he said and I gasped opening my eyes. Darya fell on her knees after he said that. How could he say such a thing to her? How could he be so heartless to want to kill his own daughter? She had come here to meet her father, trusting him, hoping he would give her some love. It was he who brought the rogues to kill us. He was the one to be blamed, not Darya.

I knelt beside Darya and placed my hands on her shoulders. She hugged me and sobbed against my shoulders.

“Leave now Abraham before I kill you” Cortez thundered at Alpha Abraham.

“Not until I kill this vile creature” he spat and jumped to attack Darya, who was still sobbing against my chest.

In a flash, Tyson attacked and wrapped his arms around Alpha Abraham’s neck before twisting it with an audible sound of his bones breaking. Tyson loosened his hold on the Alpha’s neck and stepped back. Alpha Abraham fell on the ground in a thud while I stared at him with my mouth hanging open. It was difficult to breathe after I saw it.

“No” Darya shouted and rushed towards Alpha Abraham’s. “Dad” she screamed and shook his lifeless body. My gaze dropped on Tyson who was shaking with anger. He was gritting his teeth and glaring at Alpha Abraham’s dead body. “No” Darya cried out loudly.

Tyson gaze met mine after few minutes. His dark eyes slowly turning to his normal blue color. He nodded slowly and took a step back. It had to be done, that was what he wanted to say. Alpha Abraham had to be killed. If we had let go Alpha Abraham today then there was no guarantee that Darya’s life would be safe. He would hunt her and maybe even try to kill her. I gave him my own nod and looked at Granel.

“I will take her away” he said and walked towards Darya. With great difficulty he managed to pry her off Alpha Abraham. She was still fighting him when he carried her in his arms and took her towards his car, which I noticed was at the corner of the street.

“How come you both came?” I asked him.

“We were having our dinner when Granel recalled he was about to come here. I just came along since I was bored. I didn’t expect this” he said and paused. “We were about to go to his house when we sensed the rogues scent here” he said and then went to help Tyson.

“What do we do now?”

“Burn those pieces of shit and then do, what we always do to an Alpha” Cortez replied. I nodded and picked up the glass pieced of the tube which Granel had thrown.

I saw Cortez piling up rogues body and then Tyson pouring diesel on those. Cortez then threw the lighter he had in his pocket, immediately flaming the pile of bodies. I was looking around the street for cameras and realized that some were on the streets. There were only three but since it was dark, I doubt anything could be recorded in it but still we didn’t want any risks.

“I will take care of the camera’s” I said and then destroyed each and every one of it along with Tyson.

“Raven is going to be here soon and Alpha Peter will come to Supreme Pack tomorrow.” Tyson told me when we were breaking another camera.

“Who informed them?” I asked him.

“Granel. They informed him as soon as he saw the rogues hiding” Tyson replied.

“What about the footages?” I asked him in worry.

“I will take care of it” he replied and I sighed. I knew Tyson would make sure no one knew that we were involved in this.
