Chapter 1 Abandoned woman
Los Angeles Women's Prison.
Caroline Collins looked back at the slowly closing iron door, tightened the bag on her back, and resolutely walked forward.
She was the eldest daughter of the Collins family, but grew up in an orphanage, and finally made it to adulthood. She also found a boyfriend named John Garcia. However, her biological parents came to find her and lied that they wanted to take her back, but actually wanted her to take the blame for her sister who had caused a hit-and-run accident.
She and her sister, Stella Collins, were identical twins, even their DNA was exactly the same. No wonder they came to her as a scapegoat.
She definitely disagreed with this unfair situation, but the Collins family looked like a family of educated people on the surface, but were dirty behind the scenes. They actually united to falsely accuse her of murder in court, and she was inexplicably sentenced to three years in prison.
Today is the day she is released from prison.
She walked onto the street and headed straight to the Collins family. She remembered that on the first day of her imprisonment, John promised her that they would get married when she was released.
She had been waiting for so long, and she could finally see the hope.
When she arrived at the Collins family's doorstep, she walked forward with excitement.
Just as she entered the gate, she saw Stella being pinned down on the nearby sofa, her big wavy hair hanging over her shoulders, her clothes disheveled, and a man's hand sliding over her curves...
Suddenly, Caroline's face turned red.
Years had passed, and Stella's behavior had become bolder and bolder. She was actually sexing on the sofa.
But the name Stella called out next made her face turn pale in an instant.
"John, don't be here... it's not good if someone sees you..."
John? John Garcia?
Caroline felt her heart breaking. She took a deep breath and walked quickly forward, wanting to find out what was going on.
"What are you guys doing?"
"Oh my god!" When Stella saw her coming, she reflexively jumped off the sofa, paused for a moment, and then immediately hugged the man's arm again. "Who did I think it was? It turns out to be you, you bitch."
"I forgot. Today is the day you're released from prison."
"But how did you come here? You're not here to ask us for money again, are you? You're really shameless!"
"John, look at her. She's come out of prison with bad luck all over her. Yet she shamelessly came here to disturb us. She's really annoying."
The man turned his head, his face still flushed with desire. He was indeed Caroline's boyfriend, John Garcia.
"It's been a few years, and you really don't know what's good for you. Shouldn't you be here at this time?" His cold rebuke and resolute eyes left no room for doubt.
"Why can't I stop you? Should I just watch you two be together when I'm here?" Caroline stared at him in disbelief, her heart throbbing with pain. She bit her lip. "John, I was really stupid to believe that you would marry me. How did you promise me at that time? But now you're sleeping with Stella behind my back!"
"Caroline, I advise you to wash your mouth clean before speaking!" Stella suddenly stood up and raised his hand, giving Caroline a slap, "Who do you think you are? You have the nerve to talk about me and John! You're just a bastard!"
"Who do you think you are? You are in jail, why should John wait for you? He also has normal physical needs, you know? Besides, can you match him after serving time in prison? John is already the general manager of the company."
"Since you have been released, why don't you marry Nicholas Johnson for me?"
Stella's words were like a cannon, each one harsher than the last.
"You shut up! Stella Collins, you have no shame!" Caroline had heard of Nicholas, Stella's fiance who was blind and had a violent personality. Before Stella, he had already killed five wives, and there were rumors that these five women were all abused to death by Nicholas.
She had already sacrificed the best three years of her life for Stella, and now Stella wanted to push her into the fire pit.
"No, I absolutely refuse, I won't marry Nicholas Johnson!"
"It doesn't matter if you refuse, otherwise how would our parents let you come back home? If it weren't for me accidentally killing someone three years ago, you would have been sent there already." Stella sneered and said.
Peter Collins and Avery Parker came down from upstairs.
Since everything has been revealed, they no longer hide anything: "Caroline, don't blame us for sending you to the orphanage. Your mother had a difficult childbirth when you were born. Fortune teller said you are the wretch that will bring death to your family in the future. How could we keep you by our side?"
Avery nodded in agreement: "Your younger sister is still so young, and she already has a suitable partner. How could she marry someone like Nicholas Johnson? But we have an agreement with the Johnson family, and you are a child of the Collins family. You should sacrifice for your younger sister."
Peter added, "Nicholas has a bad temper. You must be careful when you go there. Don't provoke him. If you bring trouble to us, we will not let you off!"
"In fact, it's better if you die. I feel uncomfortable thinking about your difficult childbirth. I'm afraid that one day, you will bring death to all of us," Avery sighed.
Caroline's eyes were red, and her heart was so numb from the pain. If possible, she wished that she had no ridiculous family members around her.
She desperately held back her tears and looked hopefully at John: "And you? Do you also want me to marry Nicholas instead of Stella and watch me be killed by him?"
John was a little uneasy under her naked gaze. He also felt a bit reluctant. He used to like Caroline. However, what Stella said was true. He also had needs as a man. In the past three years, Stella had been extremely gentle in bed, making him enjoy it. His liking for Caroline slowly faded away.
Moreover, three years ago, when he was with Caroline, he didn't have the same high status and achievements he had now as a general manager. It would be embarrassing to find a criminal with a bad reputation as his partner.
Naturally, there was another reason – he also felt that Caroline was a disaster, and Stella was someone who brought good luck. Otherwise, why was it that after leaving Caroline, he could rise up the ranks and have good luck?
Thinking of this, John put on a stern face and said, "Caroline, I have already proposed to Stella. She is the woman I love the most. You, should marry Nicholas Johnson instead of Stella."
Caroline suddenly laughed, her smile full of loneliness. "Okay, so I'm the stupid one. You all have been deceiving and calculating me. What about family and love? They are all complete lies!"
